    Don't suppose you have the plans for this? :)

    • @Ollaris
      @Ollaris  6 років тому +78

      Honestly? No. The top is 60cm x 40cm, the fence is 10cm x 60cm and 6cm wide. The bottom part is just long enough to go on the braces. And the pieces glue the top are just bigger than the router base so that you can clamp on them. Feel free to make yours smaller or bigger.

    I don't have a lot of spare room in my shop so I've been wracking my head/scouring the internet to come up with an idea for a quick and easy table. Tried a few other methods that didn't work out so well. Your idea, as others have said, is pure genius. Especially the clamping blocks underneath for the workbench!

    Vielen Dank, das ist tatsächlich mal ein Tisch, der ohne Schnick-Schnack auskommt. Schön, das Du begriffen hast, wie unnötig ein Parallelanschlag ist, den man bei einem Routertable tatsächlich nicht braucht, ein "normaler" Anschlag reicht völlig. Die Idee mit dem Wagenheber ist genial und ohne großen Aufwand umzusetzen. Statt eines eigenen Unterbaus für den Tisch, nimmst Du einfach eine Werkbank, super! Die Einzelteile sind in einer kleinen Werkstatt gut zu verstauen und nehmen nicht so viel Platz weg.

    Yet another use for a “workmate” type bench. Great thing here: you don’t really “use up” anything permanently except the wood itself and a few screws/nails- the router, the bench, and even the jack are easy to remove, with under one minutes effort. Great design.

    Great video! I had an idea for the Workmate table for a DIY router table and searched. Here I am. There is nothing new under the sun! I plan to make mine from 1/2 inch (12 mm) plywood and with strips of nominal 2x2 (50mm x 50mm) reinforcement around the mounting point instead of hogging out a relief. It's what I have on hand. The car jack is a great idea.

    This is the best I've seen so far... but I don't think one of these sorts of supporting tables is really sufficient: I think you need to clamp it to a sturdy, heavy workbench. There was a jump cut at one point (@3.53) and I was wondering whether that was because the table wobbled a bit. The forces unleashed by a router are immense. Great relief to see you using push sticks for everything.

    You made it simple to follow. Well done, definitely on my to do list. Great use of a scissor jack too for ease and simplicity. Great Job

    Maybe can You continue this series, topola which could be put in the portable WORK table? Circular saw, jigsaw. For a little or balcony workshops.

    Amazing! I have all the things at home to make the exact same thing, and that's what's going to happen in the nearby future. Thanks for the inspiration!

    really cool... I need to make a table for my router, and just bought a adjustable bench like yours
    I'm definitely coping your project, but I think I'll make the table wider to be easier to clamp the fence
    since I have to buy a jack, I'm thinking on a hydraulic bottle, so I can use on other purposes
    thank you for the video

      Thank you very much! My only concern about the hydraulic jack is that maybe it’s more difficult to get accurate height adjustment.

      Suggest that you check out the neighborhood junk yard, pretty sure that you can get a scissor jack for next to nothing. 😉
