Thank you for immediately addressing the only reason I clicked this video. You know what you’ve done…
Looks much better than the old single Din unit and brings the interior up to date. Nice job! Wish I’d known about this when I had my MK1.
I have no problem with that install at all. Good work.
Thanks for this Paul, brilliantly explained. Never knew there was different wiring for Bose and non-Bose stereos.
Man I love this video. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I think it looks awesome, and you’ve done a cracking job Paul
The upgrade does look good Paul and an improvement on the original fittings is my opinion also.
some good install tips to especially Re the wiring, excellent video and look forward to your next project,
have a good week,,
That refit looks great Paul. A modern twist in a future classic car.
Looks fantastic
Awesome install!
Love it Paul. Great addition to the car. Thumb up from me.
Thank you 💗 sir looking great 😌
About time, the Audi head units are very out of date. Changed mine in my S3 8PA to a 8" head unit. Best thing I ever did. 💯 🔊 🔈
Love this mod would love to have this in my mk1 TT job well done
Paul, cracking vlog and thanks for sharing buddy!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video sir!
I got to say that has brought the ICE side of things bang up to date, looks OEM which is really good. My son had an Android head unit and managed to get the vehicle logo in this case a Mazda on the home screen which looked pretty factory.
Great video man
Looks good mate modern touch car needs it
Thank you for the first class presentation. I could never eliminate the flap and therefore have no radio. I listen to the exhaust.
You are welcome!
Pioneer makes a single din with a pop out screen. All you need is an adaptor kit to fit it in the original opening. With the screen closed, the aluminum panel should close.
@@astatejb Wow and more wow. Do you happen to know the model or a source ?
That being able to close that beautiful door is, I think, a style requirement.
@@astatejb Would it be:
Pioneer SPH-10BT from Crutchfield
@vicelse8980 Pioneer AVH-3500NEX
It's not cheap though...
Looks very good
I think it looks a lot better Paul and more practical would like to do it in my TT v6 but got a bit confused with the wiring I have the Bose system in mine maybe I’ll just watch your video again and maybe again after that lol 👍
My Audi TT (2004) came already with the console removed, and a removable "stereo" or whatever is called in its place.
I like it. It is Bluetooth connectable.
I was thinking about installing a screen, but probably not.
Looks really well Paul and updates the interior nicely . Unfortunately you will always get the purists who disagree with modifications but that will happen with every brand of car known to man..! Keep up the great videos mate 👍🏻😃
Very true
Worth sacrificing your ashtray for. I’m my opinion cars are there to be tailored to their owners. You wouldn’t buy a house and never decorate it or improve it because that’s how it was built so it’s the same with cars. I’ve had a £650 TT for a couple of months and it’s almost a different car, engine bay fully blinged with ally caps (when I got it it didn’t even have any covers), carbon rear spoiler extension, wheel spacers, gaited illuminated gear shift, Proram filter and one hell of a lot of cleaning. The point is that your car reflects your choices and tastes, that’s why people become enthusiasts. Yes there’s something to be said for concourse but at the same time neither is wrong, it just seems that in the TT community OEM is the way, yet you’ll have purists drooling over 500bhp monsters which are a country mile away from how it rolled out of the factory with less than half the power.
Love the look of the new head unit....but having had one myself I had to get rid of it. as using a touchscreen while driving was far to distracting for my liking and swapped it for a double din Kenwood with buttons and was so much easier to work on the go. Having now got a 2017 BMW 435d I must say I love the idrive system and also still have short cut buttons for fav stations. Good video Paul and look forward to the next one 👍
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Paul.
Love the video.
My system ain't Bose. Was going to fit a single Din.
But upon watching this I want the touch screen double din now.
Who needs an ashtray anyway these days.
Can you send me some links for the kits.
Thanks
Johnny
Rip my TT, im so sad for having a better stereo unit :D More control and power out of the stock speakers is definitely more worth it than a metallic flap (I've still got it tho)
what fuse location did you use? think im using the wrong one as when i now put my defrosters on, it blows a fuse for climate but not defroster
Hello Paul,I do like the new stereo for the TT,you can stream music through your Phone,as I'm old school and the car has a CD player I'm stuck lol.
Hi Paul, I recently purchased this kit for my 2001 Audi TT, and I'm located in Australia. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the BEIEN OXF8 model available for sale. Do you have any other recommended brands or models that offer both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth music streaming? I really need these features. Thank you so much! Chris.
Do you have connection with vcds after this? You can have e K2 short to ground now because of the aftermarket radio.
Looks great mate, good quality faceplate as you said, looks better than oem! One thing to check, under the steering wheel there's a red wire hanging, worth moving it out of the way in case it gets damaged when you put the steering wheel down.
Yes the red wire is now secured to the main loom, that was me just being impatient to complete the video
@@CarsForPaul Nice one mate!😀
Great video. Would you be willing to share the link for the Bose wiring harness? I’d love to out this exact setup in my TT!
How do you buy new fitment can’t see where to click buy. Also which screen did you buy as there are a few.
The one from your video is no longer in your store? Which one is the best alternative?
Paul how could you? How could you wait so long to fit that fab system. Looks very smart and much more useable. Especially Waze etc. sounded good as we’ll bonus. No sins committed in my professional opinion.
So explain how exactly to become a patron!
I can't find the set of cables for bose system i tried to search on InCarTech but there is no one...
Someone have a link for it ??
Hi Paul!
Where can I order all of the hardware and wiring harnesses to convert my mk1 TT?
HI Paul, when did you order your enclosure? Is he still making them?
Thank you very much for this great video! I'm looking for a aftermarket autroradio for Audi TT mk1 with bose system. Do you know what is the maximum Watt power for the 4 speakers? I need an autoradio DIM1 o DIM2? What are the other specifications you suggest to check for after market autoradio to be compatible with the orginal Bose sound system?
Does anybody have a link to the standard ISO kits? I've looked online but can't find any that look like that
I put a pioneer touch flip screen stereo in my tt mk1 last year and it fits perfect.its the best thing I've done to my 20 year old car
@Paul Cadman boundary car care st Helen's
@Paul Cadman sorry Paul they fitted it I will get the number off the unit,my friend had to adjust it for me but it fits fine
Hi Paul, which PIONEER model did you install ?
I am from mexico I want to buy the frame in Amazon or in other platform where can I should buy it do yo have the link in Amazon ?
Absolutely beautiful......Paul I am not very good with mechanics.....is it possible for you to upgrade my tt mk1...
How much are the fitment
Wow, very nice Paul. Good work. You’re welcome to work on my A4 cabriolet anytime! 👍
Screen looks too big to me, would be better if it fitted in the double din aperture - just my opinion!
Hi Paul like the video a lot and so much so I have made the plunge and am up grading to a 2 din system that you have. The contact you have for the after market panel to let the new radio sit in is a German company. I have tried to make email contact with them to discuss the colour I need etc. How did you initially make contact and did they come back quickly. I have emailed them with the contact email they have supplied. Please note to your subscribers it ain't cheap at 200 pound. Looking forward to the change though. Loving your videos.
I agree, it does look good, In this case you have converted me I think with this setup :)
Saudações Paul gostei da inovação gostaria de ter um painel igual para o meu Audi TT mk1 2003 onde posso encontrar?
Hi Paul that looks good in the TT its a good job done & sounds good & looks good all the best to you and your family 😎👍🔧🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
Omg hahaha lol at least youre going ahead with the electronic time spectaculaire eh 👍🏾
Also, can you adjust the screen angle? if not, do you think a simple mod would do it? that just looks sick, and if it's mp5 instead of android, even better!
The screen angle is fixed but to be honest, it is just fine as you can see it at any angle. you could mod it but I cant see what you would gain.
Nice install👍I was looking at that same head unit for my volvo c30 but volvo being volvo made it difficult trying to install it. The dot matrix screen is the heart of the car and if I tried to install it, I would lose my A/C and heating controls as they work off ribbon connectors. In the end I bought a hi/low converter to wire up my amp and sub. Do you or anybody else for that matter know if there is a way around getting a screen in without bricking the car?
Unfortunately I don't. I worked for a brief spell at Volvos training and development centre in Daventry, and Volvo had a policy of integrating their ICE systems into all of their components so if you removed one element, you rendered the whole system useless, a practice which is done by most manufactures today
Your absolutely right 👍 but sadly technology has moved on so it’s probably best to keep up to date with it 😀
your car mate, you do what YOU want, is that a pixel 3xl your using ?
No, its an iphone pro max
🔷🔷GREAT VIDEO🔷🔷

Hello mate 👍
How did you order it from his website? I would love a double din.
search fo him on ebay
Is it just me, but does €229 seem like a lot of money for that frame?
Do you think a retractable screen would fit ?
Yes it would
Why didnt you just buy a bluetooth head unit that you could connect your phone to and retain the original beautiful aluminium cover?
Nice upgrade. is it wireless carplay?
Yes, it is
I just bought a mk1 for my first car but I can’t find a kit like this any where. I live in the. Netherlands so does any one know a website i can still order one
tt8n.de/
Paul, now you can install a rear view cámara 📷
I did it on my wv touran and have Just rejuvenate so much the car
How can i buy ? Can you help me , can you write product link ?
I have added a link in the description amzn.to/2Xfh2AN
Much better I removed the symphony head unit from my MK2 it just ruined the interior, I put a Kenwood car play wire free head unit in and transformed the interior
How much do you want for the car Paul? Roughly..👍👍😎😎
email me on paul@carsforpaul.co.uk
Paul since you have removed the head unit the car is now worthless and you will now have to pay to give it away since it won't have the tt flap. If you want I will send you my address and will take it free of charge. Personally i would not care for the purests its your car and done to your taste and needs. I fitted a similar headunit to the wife's toyota estima with the reverse camera as well they are not bad units.
You need a bigger screen 😂
Yes i am die hard.... my Bose is staying where it is. Sorry not buying the new set up.
you sure that is android? it looks like mp5
Actually, you might be right
You can just add a GROM bluetooth and stream through the original head unit.
If you like it, who cares what anyone thinks? That said, you did just lose a ton of potential buyers in resell if that's something you ever do. I have an MK1 TT and would never, ever, ever buy one that this has been done to. That said... keep all the OEM stuff and put it back to stock to sell.
I sold the car 3 weeks ago for top dollar BECAUSE of the head unit
😂
