The Merry Thoughts took up the mantle of Sisters Of Mercy, and they did a magnificent job of it. It feels genuine, not like an imitation. Amazing.

Totally legit IMHO. Since Andrew Eldritch refused to make any more Sisters albums, The Merry Thoughts stepped in and did the best they could to fill the void. I like them.
Eternally sad that this brilliant band left the show business...
Fantastic band, with well written and produced songs ...way beyond the run of the mill Goth bands, who think it's just about a drum machine and deep vocals without the songs to back it up. I love The Sisters but this band definitely had the talent to hold their own....and Low Violet is a killer track
As a depeche mode and sisters fan the version of the sun and the rainfall is great 🖤
@Pedro Maia Nogueira , ich möchte mich sehr bedanken für das Hochladen! Ich habe in meinem Archiv die Promotion-CD von Merry Thoughts & diese Scheibe heißt nicht umsonst "Psychocult" ! Als ich sie in den 90er Jahren in der EBM-Szene in unseren Diskotheken aufgelegt habe, war die Tanzfläche voll!

Such a great sound...and only two albums...must be AE in disguise....
as a Sisters fan who saw them live numerous times all over the UK from Newcastle through Birmingham to Bristol and lots of places in between from their beginning, i find it hard to believe that this is not Andrew singing with this band. Especially if it is someone claiming to be a German who apparently has the ability to sing with no german accent at all , but a Yorkshire one? It would be an impression that Mike Yarwood would have been proud of. i sense a touch of milli vanilli about this band, who also happened to be german, as did boney M, neither who sang live , though they did many live performances and fooled millions
as band despite record releases playing live since early 80s, i love sisters albums if even not really andrew,, but on a technical note and as a actual band and vocalist the thoughts are way more talented .

No, it isnt. The real name of the singer is Dirk Onnertz. He is from Neuss, Germany. I saw this Band very often in the 90ties in small clubs in Neuss.
