I love Ganondorf has not one but 4 different forms in this, from lich king dorf, to normal human dorf, to demon king dorf, and then dragon dorf. 5 if you count his phantom Ganon appearance.
This is my new favorite incarnation of old Dorf. Use to be Hyrule Warriors by default because ngl OOT and Twilight Princess were just basic evil. Like evil for evil’s sake. This Dorf has true ambition we actually get to see in the story. We didn’t see much of him in OOT and he just swoops in to steal the spotlight in TP. WW was good because he was sympathetic, we see he has regrets for his actions that led to the submerging of Hyrule. This Dorf is the best design. His base Gerudo form screams “mighty warrior” with years of discipline in honing his skills in battle with sword and magic. His Demon King form is the best because it seems to reawaken the power of Demise, having the flaming hair and his robes becoming like the black scales, his malice truly peaking. And his Demon Dragon form, tho devoid of his actual mind (and not having any pig traits, my personal nitpick because he is still Ganon and should be pig-like in design wtf guys) really is just Demise in dragon form. Even his mummy form, is creepy and terrifying, he steals the stage immediately. Even shriveled he commands the same power he had before being sealed away. All around he’s a villain who has presence the other Dorfs or even Ganons can’t hold a candle to.
Dang, after seeing all these cutscenes of the Ganondorf from this timeline, I think he’s far worse than Demise. Speaking of Demise, I wonder if the Infinite Curse is lifted in this game? I hope so. Otherwise the spirit of Link and the bloodline of Zelda would never escape this evil. I feel bad for them…
I don’t think so, because an reincarnation will always be around. Rauru only delayed Ganondorf from dying, leaking out Calamity Ganon in the process, and then killed at the end of this game.
@@masterseekerv6907 There’s no evidence to say that it doesn’t. Memory recall is a physical part of the brain, so even if your soul carries onto a new form, your memories don’t travel with you.

A few things are strange here... Zelda has at least one or all pieces of the Triforce and Ganondorf isn't fixating on obtaining it. He also doesn't seem to recognize Link as the chosen hero who usually defeats him so I suspect this Ganondorf lost his memory or is a reincarnation who knows nothing about the triforce or his true nature, much like Zelda doesn't, and Link doesn't. This game is so far in the future that the 3 chosen by destiny have no idea what their destiny is. But Zelda just learned she can control time so maybe we'll get a 3rd game or DLC where these 3 learn about the rest of the Zelda series and have a REAL epic showdown because people eating rocks and turning into dragons without a single mention of the triforce just ain't it.
Yeah, it's weird. All this almost makes me think this is a new timeline that discards the reincarnation stuff, but then there's Fi in BotW, and Zelda outright mentioning reincarnation at the beginning of the Dark Beast boss. My theory is that BotW and TotK take place long, *long* after the three timelines, long enough for Hyrule to fall, and then rise again under Sonia and Raurul. And your theory of the reincarnations forgetting their purpose also makes sense, and sounds an interesting direction for the franchise to go, no longer having to have the big three share the same motivations game to game.
My suspicion is that the original games took place in the timeline where Hylia's plan to destroy Demise using the Triforce was successful. SS -> BOTW -> TOTK is a new timeline created by Ghirahim resurrecting Demise in the past. In this timeline, the Triforce is still in Sky Keep in Skyloft and the legend of its wish-granting powers never spread on the surface.
A really out-there theory that I have is just Maybe BotW and TotK are prequels to Skyward Sword. considering in this game it appears this is the first time Link meets Gannondorf, time travel is used (something that was also used in Skyward Sword) and Gannondorfs 2nd phase looks eerily close to Demise, We have the appearance of the Sky Islands, and Gloom is beginning to spread and destroy Hyrule. Maybe the constant use of Malice in the past two games was the fissure that allowed Demise to come into this world?
It's cool that they actually added lore to his headstone thingy. I feel like it's a staple if his character design. Makes me wonder why he didn't use it before!
No, seriously, where is the triforce? The whole story is that zelda, Gannon, and link are stuck in this loop because of demise trying to obtain the triforce, even through death as his reincarnation, Ganondorf/Gannon. As far as I've seen Gannon isn't even aware of the triforce, let alone is it even mentioned anywhere despite it being the literal reason his whole character exists, hell the reason zelda and link exist too.
I definitely want to purchase a Switch just for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This incarnation of Ganondorf sees more use in the Secret Stone to the point that he doesn’t need the Triforce of Power to seek world domination. His design looks awesome because it’s a samurai and Arabic style and hybrid of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, and Skyward Sword.
I found some new info about Ganondorf’s background in the original Japanese. Basically, he has a dissatisfaction to the rulers of Hyrule that lived in a peace and tranquility where as he remained attached to the brutal past were those with a sense of fighting spirit are the supreme ones He aims for controlling all creation instead of world domination(unlike his previous incarnations) in order bring the world back where it was rightfully roamed by demons before the Zonai came down from heaven and purified it with Shrines of Light. Ganondorf is willing to go extreme lengths to fulfill his desire. Even if he has to transform himself into the Demon King. In short, he is a Gerudo Warrior who likes darkness and demons, whom he enjoys the thrill of battle, and he disdains for the weak and cowardly relying on the protection of others…. much similar to Demise of Skyward Sword. It's no wonder why he despises Rauru's kingdom and the Zonai. While the game itself could've provide us more background on this iconic Nintendo Villain, I feel the English Vocalization have rewritten the original source material to make him your standard bad guy which to me is hella annoying.
With how advanced Zonai technology actually was, it's kind of ridiculous how Ganondorf was in any way a threat to Rauru and Hyrule when you think about it.
what is truly good, what is evil? what if Zelda and the others are the ones stopping Hyrule destiny of achieving greatness trough Ganondorf rule, he may be the true unrecognized hero of the story
From a certain point of view. That’s why WW Ganondorf is one of my favorites. Is a really beautiful cut scene before your final battle. His Molduga attack also feels like a reference to WW.

His design looks awesome because it’s a samurai and Arabic style and hybrid of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, and Skyward Sword.
27:08 I know this is suppose to be a big meanie bad guy line, but I'm curious as to what kind of warrior Big Daddy G expected Link to be.
Does anyone else gets reminded of rider from fate zero when hydrated ganon speaks or is that just me?
With how advanced Zonai technology actually was, it's kind of ridiculous how Ganondorf was in any way a threat to Rauru and Hyrule when you think about it.
what is truly good, what is evil? what if Zelda and the others are the ones stopping Hyrule destiny of achieving greatness trough Ganondorf rule, he may be the true unrecognized hero of the story
From a certain point of view. That’s why WW Ganondorf is one of my favorites. Is a really beautiful cut scene before your final battle. His Molduga attack also feels like a reference to WW.
He isnt lol. His goal is basicaly turning everything into a virtual boy game
This Ganondorf gave me Demise vibes
Doesn’t even feel like a demon, just an Unbothered King
Me when that healthbar continued : hold up, something is wrong?
When I first saw that horse of his, I kept thinking please show again and not be a cutscenes only.
I was disappointed. Then again, maybe I'll uncover something through all the side junk? Doubt it, though.
28:06 I'm the only one thinks this scene similar to the second cinematic of godfrey from elden ring?
15:11 *RASENGAN*
I Absolutely Love and Respect Ganondorf's Brand Newest Design in *Tears of the Kingdom* right here! He looks so Intimidating, Evil, Dominant, Malicious, Merciless and Tyrannical! This is why I ALWAYS Support, Respect and Appreciate Ganondorf, the Evil Incarnate himself, as One of THE Best of the Best Nintendo Villains of All Time Throughout the Years of the Zelda franchises!
You literally copied and pasted this comment, word for word. Where's your originality?🤣
@@jaggerjackize How's this then? *I Absolutely Love, Respect and Appreciate Ganondorf's as One of THE Best of the Best Evil Nintendo Villains There Is from The Legend of Zelda franchise! He always Comes Back After Reincarnations of Demise! Nothing can bring him down!*
I always wondered if Ganondorf knows about Demise?
Mummy Ganondorf looks like he came out of an Iron Maiden cover lol
This is the best version of ganon
The laugh killed me😂
1:45 Sonia and Zelda use Assist
Rauru uses Hyper Beam.........it was super effective
6:52 Ganondorf uses Shadow Sneak! It’s super effective!
Totally Kyle after 30+ Zelda Games : "Whats his deal???"
7:22 Live Ganondorf Reaction
It did not feel like he had this much screentime. I could've swore he had like less than 10 minutes
God they were so close to making ganon perfect, but instead of going with the interesting "might makes it right", they dicided to go with the generic" I am the dark man, I will bring the dark with me".
Like make the mf have a true belief that inst "evil good".
This is why I love wind waker ganondorf so much.
This is why I feel we needed to see a bit more of him, especially considering how he’s the main villain of the game. Like it’s Ganondorf, he doesn’t need crazy complex motives and all that but just to see what his motivations are outside of “Strong succeed, me bad man, it too bright outside” would’ve been interesting.
12:43 Then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked.
11:52 what is this coming?
Stop at 36:09. The secret stone is still in Ganondorf's head.
ON MY KNEES WETTER THEN CALIFORNIA RN 😍😍😍😍😍
Daddydorf ❤
This is so amazing
Sounds like the voice of Griffith berserk

Suavemente, bésame, que quiero sentir tus labios besándome otra vez!
7:19 when you turn facial expressions on to 300%
I never realized the Moldugas looked like King Jabuun from Wind Waker
Interestingky the molduga dont seem to fade into malice/gloom when they died.
Pretty sure that was prior to the Blood Moon, so they weren’t resurrected monsters just natural Molduga
7:20 mmm yes, shiny rock make me happy
7:22 his face looks so sinister
10:47
The cycle will continue....

16:59 nice Discord notification lol
I need a full tv show about Zelda in the distant past.
Fun fact: Ganondorf has more screen time in this game than Darth Vader did in A New Hope.
is no one talking about the masterpiece molduga theme?
Matthew Mercer was perfect for Ganondorf
