See, this is my problem with the game's boss design on Brutal: yes, it's more difficult than Normal but not in a way that makes it more fun. It's not even consistent. Polora was 100% a dodge training exercise while I dropped the crossbow Q, frost AOE and chaos shockwave on her; if I practiced it a bit I'm sure I could do a no-hit kill on her. I engaged with her mechanics face to face and defeated her. But this guy? There's nothing to engage with, his Brutal incarnation is nothing more than a slow aura that ticks your HP away, which makes his existing kit more dangerous. It's a nice touch that the aura can't kill you but that's only useful if 1, you're running away with a handful of HP remaining or 2, you just barely managed to put the bastard down.
I was fighting him and he accidentally attacked shadow bane then the magic happened, xD... Same thing for the vampire hunter near my base, I baited her to him

if you kill the general in the mine, you unlock the scythe.
This fight is straight cancer. Perma slow and life debuff is so fucking stupid design.

Boring but effective I guess.
Yeah i'm sure there are more fun ways to fight him but the slow was such a pain.
