When I finally realized I needed Christ I found myself lost in addiction and surrounded by nothing but darkness. I had spent years and years doing everything wrong, making nothing but bad choices. I was a mess, a terrible person, broken and completely lost. I didn't deserve any more chances. None of that mattered though. The very moment I prayed for help He was there. I honestly didn't even fully believe that there was anyone even listening to my prayers at the time but it didn't matter, He was right there, waiting to scoop me up and dust me off and take me back. It is so important that people know that we can turn to Him for help at any time. He will take us back no matter how lost or broken we feel. He wants us in any condition. I am so blessed by our Saviors Atonement, because of His love and grace I do not have to be what I have always been. 💚

I could not forget His face
As I wandered from that place.
With the questions ever burning.
I put myself to learning.
And each answer came with grace.
And I knelt in earnest prayer.
His memory still there
And the more that I'd enquire.
The hotter burned the fire.
I found joy beyond compare.

Thou has done so much for me!

And the day turned into three.
Morning found me in a garden
Where the gentle April breeze
Returned me to my knees,
Pleading for a pardon.
And I can't say when or why
I opened up my eyes
But his feet were there before me,
His hands were open o'er me,
And His face I recognized.

We all need to hear, and to sing, Oh Lord My Redeemer, in this harsh world. The calming effect is so strong.
Listening to this as I think about my son in Great Lakes, Navy bootcamp. Before he left his older brother who was baptized into the church in 1996 along with my mother and oldest daughter, told him pick a church when you get to bootcamp. It is for your best interest. I have prayed that he would pick The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as this was our church when he was born. We went through many challenges as I was a single Mom now with 4 children and in a church that didn't support this. I left the church before he was able to be baptized but my mother kept trying to get him to talk to the missionaries. I guess it doesn't matter what church he decides to attend as long as he knows he is a Child of God, the Lord IS our Redemer and Jesus Christ came to Earth to die for our ability to repent and live with him again. This was a beautiful song and I am glad I stumbled upon it this afternoon.
Thank you for sharing your story, it matters a lot to all of us where are children are. As long as they know where to find home. This song is impressive and invites the spirit of the Lord❤
