- In this video our Commando Jeep JKU gets some 40" tires. The same ones that were previously on Big Sauce JK. We are aware that this jeep still has some work to be done underneath to support these tires in an off-road capacity, and all that will be coming.

How the heck do you not bog out with stock gearing?? 3.21's or 3.73's at best... Wtf. Typically 40's call for tons, d44's at a minimum and prob 4.88-5.13/5.38's. how do you not break or bend anything?
Dude I was thinking the same thing I have a jeep as well and he has 40s on stock everything also that's to much stress on that 3.8 by it needs to be supercharged need more torque to push them 40s
Intrinsic Motors d44 is a bit different then the d30... The may share housing but that's not the stress point...

You're card works better than my actual ice scraper. Also get yourself an oscillating multi tool, they cut a lot straighter. At first I was using a Dremel but I just kept getting chopped up edges and it wasn't cutting as easy as I wanted it to. So then I used my multi tool and it was just like cutting through butter with hot metal.

Are you running stock gears for the JK and pushing 40s on it? And how is the steering holding up, I'm sure it has a lot of stress without power assist.

I see alot of comments about him needing 1 tons but people have to realize 1 tons are very heavy as heavy as those 40s so the rig needs engine upgrades because that 3.8 doesn't have enough torque to push heavy ass 1 tons and 40s
Plenty of people run 40s and tons on TJ/LJs which have less power. You just need proper gearing and realize you're adding hundreds of pounds of unsprung mass. It's a jeep not a race car

Your front end is going to take a major shit man, i'de be saving some money and getting everything D.O.M and some axel trusses. Also get some good wheel seals the factory molar ones hate extra rotating mass.

Not really... It's putting a ton of stress on EVERYTHING. However if it just stays on the road it might hold up.
