I love how Ed O'Neal's character is not even a villain.. it's just a sibling rivalry storyline
Exactly it’s a good balance lol
That's a good example for him to say he wants to beat his Brother's Team Fair, not intentionally injure someone
@@734wheeler5 👭🏿....🏈
He just supper competitive. Though he is sexist. He didn't want his niece on the team even though she was a stronger player than most of the cowboys.
When becky was on an opposing team Kevin told his team that becky was the only threat. He not stupid. Just a jerk.
I did enjoy watching Kevin put the real villain in his place. If his son pulled another stunt that purposely tries to injure someone, spike would never play for cowboys again.
@@734wheeler5 backyard football 🏈
1:16 That’s no cheerleader. That’s my niece: Becky. And she’s PISSED!
He knew that they were screwed when this happened.
My favorite line in the whole movie
It's funny that he love his niece so much that knows what's coming. He's proud of his niece Becky.
He like. "Nice going. Now their best player is back and fired up."
Kevin getting mad at Hammersmith is one of his best moments in the movie. He may be competitive, but he doesn’t play or win dirty.
Exactly. He may want to win against his brother but he knows that hurting his brother's team isn't the right way to do it.
True competitor. He doesn't want to just win, he wants to beat you when you are at your best.
@@peterrevilla1828 Like any competitor, Kevin wants the opposition to give it their all so he knows that whether he wins or loses, it was a fair competition. I respect that.
Tecnically, he did play "dirty" by manipulating Becky into being a cheerleader instead of playing with the Little Giants, but you're right. Between him and Hammersmith there's a HUGE difference.
@@firemiracle They're also dealing with kids and not adults. Yes he wants to win but at the end of the day the kids safety is the most important thing. It shows he has real humility.
I don't think ANYONE could have stopped Becky from playing at this point...
May GOD help them if they tried, because no one else would.
Spike opened Pandora's Box
@@racerx2107no he awakened the ICEBOX
@@racerx2107 Bet he don't know who Pandora is Or what's in her box.
Even if becky's uncle is the coach of the cowboys, he knows that cheating isn't the right way to win, he wants his team to win the game but he knows that hurting his brother's team isn't acceptable. I even love the fact that he warned spike's dad that he would kick them them both out if spike hurts another member of the little giants, goes to show that he does care about his niece and brother. I even love that he knows that becky is so pissed because of what spike did to her crush 😂
Kinda a good uncle at that point with how he responded to Spike’s dad.
@@upmysuccess90s20 I think he was always a good uncle. He complimented Becky in the diner and made her feel special a few times throughout the film.
As much as Kevin wanted to crush his brother and the little giants, he wanted to do it in fair way.
It’s one redeeming quality, but he’s still a jerk. He wouldn’t let Becky play on his team just because she’s a girl, despite the fact that she was better than all the other players. When he complimented her at the diner, he was really manipulating her to get her to not play.
@@boblangford5514 you hit the nail on the head. He was being very sexist in the movie seeing as despite not thinking the others were worth anything he could have at least allowed her to play on his team seeing as Danny called it out Becky was better than half thr boys he picked. I am willing to bet she was better than all of them not just half
Best part of this scene was Ed's character's "not like that". Even if he was a competitive, selfish, holier than thou player/coach who rode his previous successes throughout his life, he still refused to be a victorious cheater.
He knows the best are those who beat the best. He knows a real victory are won fair and square. He wanted no doubt or debate about who the winners are
I agree, he would rather win fair and square and would rather lose than try to win by playing dirty
Icebox was my ultimate hero growing up. ✊
Long before Bella and the bulldogs there's was becky and the little giants.
Spike was just BEGGING to get his ass kicked. And he did. Lol.
The smirk she gives spike after the play is hilarious.
Am eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
It was a sign to Spike to not underestimate her or mess with her!
Gotta give respect to Kevin for calling out Spike. As much as he wants to win, he doesn't tolerate cheap shots to win.
Even it means seeing one of his boys injures Danny's players. Nobody plays dirty on any team or gets kicked out of the game and team
Hell has no fury than a woman scorned.
Well, thanks for the advice
Or one that's been denied tricks and treats. IYKYK
This is easily one of the best scenes of the movie; obviously Coach is very competitive and driven to win but I respect the fact he doesn't like cheating, poor sportsmanship and is even willing to bench his best player
As a kid it meant even more. Like woah, even the bad coach of the bad team has a line and was mad when they crossed it. Play fair and win fair
Im pretty sure growing up in the 90s watching ice box is what started my love for tomboy’s growing up.
Facts
😂 she took that personal foul personal!
Spike was really asking for it. 😂
Rebecca O'Shea knows how to fight Spike even if she joins the WWE or UFC MMA.
@@sharptoothtrex4486She grew up with a single Father after her Mom left them. She spent a lot of time with her Uncle who was a star Football Player, and her Dad loved Sports. That's how she wanted to follow into their shoes even though her Dad didn't play
@@parkerbeard6170 This explains why I created Rebecca O'Shea for WWE 2K23 as an option.
Spike and his dad were indeed the villains... but even Spike, as soon as the game was over started the clap for the Little Giants with his team and said to his dad, "Get a grip, Dad." So much heart in this movie.
I was today's years old when I realized Icebox wears Lawrence Taylor's #56
Becky hits harder then these current NFL players 💯
that is right
After watching lots of football and proving girls can play peewee football
You know you screwed up when you get the icebox back on the field.
Moral of the story: Never piss off a cheerleader...
0:23 that line made me like him a lot. He wants to win, but in the right way.
She really put on Lawrence Taylor's number for the Giants 🤭 I guess she was paying homage 🤷🏿♂️
Hammersmith, if that kid of yours pulls another stunt like that, you’re both out of here.
Hey come on. I thought you wanted to win.
@@mistresskixen6142 Not like that.
@@mistresskixen6142Not like that.
Hammersmith is a horrible Father Raising his Son to intentionally Hurt Someone on the other Team
A lot of women getting shoehorned into male roles in film and tv always seemed too forced. Little Giants did it right. The team wholeheartedly accepted her for her capabilities and the fact that she was a girl was hardly, if ever, brought up by them. In fact the only people who do were on the opposing team which reflects reality and not some social ideal.
@@Rookie_Mode2023 Why are you a dude promoting feminism, dafuq lol
Part of this was because they played with her since the begging so it didn't feel unnatural. The only people who mocked her was spike and he wasn't there from the start.
Mike Hammersmith: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What’s that cheerleader doing with a helmet on?
Kevin O'Shea: That’s no cheerleader, that’s my niece Becky and she’s pissed.
You’d almost think Kevin knew what was coming.
@@Mystrohan oh he definitely did. I love that line delivery! It perfectly conveys his annoyance with Hammersmith that his poor sportsmanship caused this and that he knows when Becky’s pissed there’s nothing that’ll stop her. He knew they lost the play before it started.
@@Mystrohan why do you think he used her crush for junior Floyd to get her off thr field? He knew she was a big time threat.
“Keep clear ice chest, or I have to mess up your face.”
Definitely! That's why he told his team that becky was the only threat. Before learning about junior. He knew becky was a stronger player than most of the cowboys
"Thanks. You just brought back their strongest player and got her fired up."
Kevin may be cocky and the contender here, but he still has morals as he doesn’t agree with one of his players injuring an opponent with a cheap shot.
Kevin had a lot of bad traits like being sexist and a couple of other things but yeah I can agree with you on that point.
Plus he knows they're just kids and it's just a game, there's no reason to try and injure a kid even to win a game.
Kevin also cut a few kids b/c they weren't good enough at Football. Which pissed Danny off and he wanted to give those kids a chance to play no matter how good or bad they were. Plus Kevin was always mean to Danny all his life. At least Kevin wants to win Clean, not injure his brothers players
Very true, plus he would rather lose the game than win by cheating
This is one of my favorite scenes growing up mostly because I saw so much of myself in Becky, my mom didn't like that I was a bit of a tomboy I think it was inevitable because I have nothing but brothers and I found shopping for shoes to be boring lol
If you were that age nowadays your mom would've made you "trans" and forced you on puberty blockers lmao
I still am a tomboy. I played football, was in ROTC in high school, was on the wrestling team, and could beat the tar out of anyone that crossed me. Hated dresses and makeup. Mom would try to put me in heels, but I didn't like them because they made me 6'3'. Hated shopping. I'd rather be at home with my dad watching football. My mom just gave up after awhile because she's a tomboy too. Kinda hard for her not to be growing up with 4 brothers, but she's still a lady and cute as a button.
@@leeandramurphy5903I'm a Guy, but I had several girls on my Hockey Teams growing up! One year I had two girls on my team who played 2nd line. I was on their line a couple times as I bounced back to the 1st & 2nd line! They were so good at crashing the net and scoring on rebounds! At times I was embarrassed that they scored more Goals than me, but they were Team players first. Which brought the whole team together in the Locker Room. We didn't care if they were girls, they were just another teammate in the locker room! We ended up winning the Championship that year, and we didn't lose many games either!
This scene is amazing haha. She is really angry😂
That is a lesson all boys cannot make Rebecca O'Shea mad!
Annette Bening: Don't you mess with me, mister!
Becky has the Kevin oshea genes.
Yeah and Danny had em, just had to pass em.
The Ice Box surely made Spike pay for what he did to Junior.
Man I’m 29 and I remember this as a kid 😂😂😂I love it
The Icebox is back!
I wish this was on a streaming service.
Love the fact that Icebox is wearing LT's number, playing as a linebacker. And you can hear in Kevin's voice that he's concerned when she starts to go to the huddle.
“Keep clear Ice Chest” Maaan😂😂😂😂😂
Spike picked the wrong day to mess with Becky.
I love this movie
That’s no cheerleader… that’s my niece Becky…. And SHE PISSED
I was Becky. Only bigger. You don't get the nickname "The Mankiller" without reason.
Good movie
Major props to the opposing manager antagonist for wanting to play a fair and legit game. That practically never happens in these type of movies.
That was a great hit by the icebox.
Becky has had enough!
1:16 - "There's no cheerleader, that's my niece Becky, and she's pissed."
Yes! All right! That’s my girl!
spike and his dad were the villains of this movie. Kevin was just someone who forgot that pee-wee sports are about the kids. He cared more about his reputation.
The part when spikes takes his helmet off cause he got charged with a foul and points at Becky while Icebox stares him down and the hype music is playing is and will always be one of the coolest and hardest moments on any sport movie of all time 😂😂 this movie was sooo 🔥 back then but ppl weren’t ready for it cause it was kids 😂
she looks amazing now wow
Icebox “And from that point on I took it personal…”
She's like "This is personal"!, lol
2:05 LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO poor kid
They should do a sequel to this ❤❤
I wish they did! This was made 30 years ago. Rick Moranis no longer Acts
lowkey this is kind of the football version of the mighty ducks. only thing is the coach of the bullies doesn’t try to win w dirty plays
Spike - “What!? Are you crazy? What kind of a call is that?
Me - a very easy one to make.
Yep. the ref was right to give Spike that penalty. I mean the ball was down and Spike tackled Junior when Jr. had his back turned
Gotta nod my head to Kevin here. He may not have been the best big brother to Danny and can be overly competitive, but at least he believes in playing fair and not dirty. Good for him not being okay with that cheap shot
They literally gave it to Spike on every play. No wonder they lost.
He was like their Christian McCaffrey 😂😂
@@steeleboy09I would love to know what their offense was before the days out addition of Spike. I assume they just blocked and the quarterback ran it, because the passing game doesn’t seem to exist in Kevin O’Shea’s scheme.
These comments deserve more likes
@@bobbyreynoso5371 Kevin O’Shea was completely out coached by his younger brother in the 2nd half. Why offensive coordinators haven’t been studying the working psychology behind the “pitch to Johnny” play is beyond me.

:28 when I was a kid I couldn't stand Spike's face 😆
Me either now hes good looking as an adult.
@@fruitypebblez4309 I gotta check that out!
I love how Becky tells her dad to call her icebox but tells Junior to call her Becky
When i was child i loved Ice box so much. i saw this movie around 20 times.. lol
This movie isn’t brought up enough when taking great sports movies. And neither is Icebox when talking great characters!
This is the first time a cheerleader went to the locker room and dressed to play football.
1:36 … Here We Goooooooo
Jack Black, the Icebox is back!
Shawna Waldron is a Hot Box now that she's a fully grown woman
Instant classic
Great hit. But that skirt is not regulation protective equipment.
I know for sure a skirt is not allowed on the football field. When I was a kid I played a little pee wee football and the other team had a girl on their team. She wore the required equipment and even made a few tackles against us
No shit….. it’s a movie. 😂
Funny how junior turned into Stan! Lol. IYKYK 😊
Spike's late hit just made Becky pissed off.
The giants would been in trouble if Becky wouldn’t have jumped in
Let this be a lesson, boys! Do not ever make Rebecca O'Shea mad! You boys would not like when Rebecca O'Shea is mad! So please stay away from her!
Spike would have been ejected for that hit even in the NFL, much less a Pop Warner game
Don’t piss off Icebox
Spike low key had respec for Becky after the game
.31 to .40 better make your peace with God and quick Spike
"Keep clear, Ice Chest. Or I,ll haves to mess up your face." The word I use when I dont go easy on woman. lol
When she threw down the pom poms I was like uh oh "They're fucked"
The gloves are off.
Danny o sheas daughter becky was mad when spike hammersmith hurt floyd casey jr spike hammersmith messed up bigtime never underestimate a female
Respect to Kevin O'Shea

The gloves are off, but in Becky's case, the pom-poms are dropped.
Respect that a movie from 1994 has a black QB
Al Bundy showed up
Imagine that...they managed to have a strong girl role in a movie without shoving down your throat...
The early 90s was the golden age for these kinds of movies. We were lucky. I feel bad for my young sons all they get are garbage marvel movies now.
Spike actor really nice man in real life I heard
This can coach has a nice hat😂
The actor who plays Spike is so great at being a little shithead. Try not to hate him at 00:28, I dare you
I think I read somewhere the Spike and The Ice Box were actually good friends off set
@@parkerbeard6170 they dated
Spike should've been ejected from the game for a hit like that
Now adult film star Shauna Waldron
That hit looked a lot harder when I was 8 lol
Shame on the referees for not ejecting Spike. That should of been ejection for Spike. You don't do that to the player.
In real life he most likely would have been, but movies aren’t exactly known for being realistic, lol
@@ryanwiuff2374Also at 0:14 that would not exist either of Jake and Spike shoving each other. In real life the Refs would be stepping in between to defuse a fight with two kids
Should have never pissed of “The Icebox”
Spike got spiked!!
Why is Spike smiling at her like that?
What Kevin said the Hammersmith is what Sean Payton should have said to Gregg Williams in 2009.
Kevin maybe over competitive especially with siblings rivaly but he wont allow anyone to be hurt like that.
I enjoy him telling the real villain that another stunt like that and his son would never play on the cowboys again.
Kevin big thing is that he sexist. He didn't want his niece on the team cause she a girl. Yet when becky was on an opposing team he told the team that becky was the only threat. Knowing becky was a stronger player than most of the cowboys.
Wasn't Hammersmith in Baby's Day Out too? lol. He definitely looks like one of the bad guys from that movie
Yup
Even in a Disney kids movie the cowboys suck
Uh, hello! Earth to Ryan! Little Giants was made by Warner Bros., not Disney!
The real cowboys didn't suck, they won their second straight Superbowl in 1994.
