    Thanks for bringing up my question to James. I bought a set of Lake CX1 wide fit and found these to be almost perfect and can pull the fit in extra due to laces. The extra volume I have is at the ball of my foot which is a bunion. Just need to go see James now for some insoles.

    Excellent analogy of properly fitted bike. Putting the bike on instead of getting on the bike. My most bothersome problem is my lack of flexibility, did not pay too much attention to it in my youth. Proper foam rolling and stretching has done wonders.

    Lawrence, quick question for your next Q&A with James: That was a lot of fairly sizable changes in one go for your cousin. The old-school saying (so probably wrong :-) ) was no more than 1cm incremental change at a time and then a few days to allow the body to adapt before the next increment. Does that still hold true or is it a load of rubbish. Can you cause injury by making too drastic a change to position in one hit?
    Anyways, another great video. Keep them coming

    Has James ever used a combo of different length crank arms to over come leg length discrepancy? Like a longer crank arm on one side and a shorter on the other side? Would that even work?

    Definitely go to a bike shop to buy your shoes. My local bike shop owner Richard is very good. I went in there with an open mind, spent around 40 minutes trying different models and brands. Each time I explained how the shoe felt and every next pair felt letter in that regard. After around 10 pairs I tried on a Mavic and it fit like a glove. They were in fact the outgoing year model so they were discounted to £150. Bargain considering the the time Richard spent with me.

    Im getting pins and needles in my toes do you think these insoles would help?

    • @bbikerlawrence
      @bbikerlawrence  2 роки тому +2

      Pins and needles could be due to any range of issues, a good foot support is always going to help your posture but might not sort that specifically!

    • @bbikerlawrence

    You are still riding like a Californian, Lawrence, wearing shades on an overcast day in Hollywood. Oh well, cool people can get away with that. And thanks for your visit to the shoe shop and the big news about a fall event and mail order, fantastic.
