Great vid and good info about the releases Daniel! About 1 out of 5 fish in general die of injuries or stress after their release! Spearfishing is the only method of fishing where the release happens by just not taking the shot,so you don't even stress the fish around you!
@@DanielMann Yes they are similar fish and i doubt they can survive being pulled from 60-80m with rods and then released... Sorry to hear about your teleporting device...
I think I’ve seen these in Panama too but they are smaller. It’s crazy when you watch old footage and realize how far your hunting skills have come. Great video!!!
Another entertaining yet educating video! Keep up the good work :) look forward to hopefully one day putting what I’ve learnt from you theoretically and applying it practically
Daniel, I love your videos, your footage is spectacular, you are a great host, and the information you share is so helpful. Thanks for all your efforts - you deserve every bit of success. Kt
Hi Dan, hope you and family are well. Your video's are well shot and info well spoken and communicated. Remember the "days of the Yellow Sub"! Look us up when you return for a dive. Kind regards Peter
Ive been following you for a while now, as a content creator you’re top notch and it’s awesome to see all of your adventures. I really do enjoy the videos where the fish makes it all the way to the table. As a hunter I love the idea of bringing something from the wild and sharing it with family and friends. Don’t stop, keep shooting and thanks again.
By all means, do what ya gotta, just wanted to shout out one of my favorite content creators, I feel a lot of ya don’t get the love back that you all put into your channels. You inspired me to put a spear in my hand. Thanks mate and well wishes in careful times.
Fantastic video Daniel! I saw in an earlier video that the spearguns you use in Australia you made yourself. I find that super intresting and would love to see a video of you explaining how you made them. :)
Fingermark snapper is by far my most favourite fish in the ocean to eat . I lived in Darwin for 6 years and caught most fish and this is my tastiest I believe. 🙌🏽
Hi Dan, excellent content as usual. Could you please make a video about the last GoPro hero 8 black’s underwater footage in comparison to previous versions such as Hero 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ? And also how to film properly while spearfishing ? Thanks 🙏🏻
Brilliant mate, I haven’t started to spear fish yet I am the uk and haven’t made time to start or save up for all my gear lol but one day when iv got my act together I will spearfish haha. Great video yet again keep up the good work my friend 👍
The best informative video ever, really really love this "Fish in Focus". Keep watching it again and again. Please make lots and lots of Fish in Focus vids. Also please make a whole video about air pressure, like if the air pressure is going up what do the fish do? Do they hang at the bottom or swim around etc.. I noticed that when the air pressure is falling there isn't a fish in sight. Where did they go?? Can you please answer. Thank you very much for giving us the tiny details that are so interesting.
Great series of species specific videos! Keep them coming, being a late comer to spearing, I find fish ID underwater pretty hard, made worse by poor Kimberley Vis.
Great video - well done! - for those of us who don't spearfish - could you do a video sometime about how you got into/became proficient at spearfishing? (did you free dive before or just gradually get better at calmly holding your breath so well? (lots of practice I'm sure :)
Thank you for your effort to make these times easier for us! Great video, entertaining and informative indeed. Perhaps, if you can, make a video for very basic spearos on how to properly "aim" the gun including how to compensate for longer/shorter shooting distance and all considerations in taking proper aim (and improving marksmanship). Thank you again for your efforts!! I wish you all health and good times from sunny Libya!!
Already gave the like - now time to start watching! Those are some great looking fish by the way, they kind of remind me of cubera/grey snapper over here in south Florida. 🤙
Daniel you say you've never dived WA, well you gotta make the trip because I live in Geraldton and the reefs here are absolutely amazing, and the Abrolhos islands are 40kms out from the beach and the abrolhos are the one of the best group of islands in the world in my opinion, you can range from anyhting such as Baldies, Blues, lots of Coral trout and spanish mackerel just to name a few.
Great video as usual. What makes me laugh is that you live far from me and dive al over the world but using the wetsuits that are made in a very small place so close to my house in Rome. Really great wetsuits, I used to have them when I spearfished, some years ago. Cheers
Hello daniel mann, please make a video about the specifications of the speargun collection that you have. I'm very curious because from the videos that you have your speargun is very efficient when used to shoot fish 🐠🐋🐟
Hey Dan,Your camera head strap doesn't slide off your head, does it? Or is there a trick to keep it from doing so?Which of the GoPro are you currently using? 7 black?
Definitely a trick to stop losing it if it does slide or get knocked off ua-cam.com/video/UF6g5O33rZI/v-deo.html I always try and keep the strap fresh, after a year they get sloppy and the elastic needs replacing. Everything in this video was shot with GoPro 3's & 4's. Newer stuff is on a 7 which is much better.
Eye spy with my little eye @3.33min...dyneema loop on the spear shaft, then running mono - Why, and what knot? As usual, another great DM instalment!!!
"Hi I'm Daniel Mann, and this is my MasterClass"

@@DanielMann Yes they are similar fish and i doubt they can survive being pulled from 60-80m with rods and then released...
Sorry to hear about your teleporting device...
Yes the teleport device will be fixed when this lockdown is over I suspect.
Anyone else line fish up and are like “pow” underwater when you already have your fix?
If you want to learn something about spearfishing this is the guy you should talk to. Keep doing what your doing and love your vids🔥🔥
Favourite fish species from my favourite UA-cam channel, how good! 👌
Thanks boys, loved that indigenous fish trap on the latest flick.

the technical level of your videos is remarkable. are you a professional? good daniel
I work as an editor and camera operator.
I can sit and listen to talk spear fishing all day... another awesome video mate...
You are the absolute best Dan. Unbeatable. Never stop 👊
Another great video Daniel! I really like what you said at the end about the fish only getting bigger. Great outlook. Keep the videos coming!
Well I hope they are getting bigger!
Another solid video Dan! Your knowledge on all these species of fish is amazing.
Thankyou for always expanding my spearfishing knowledge! I always leave learning something new! LEGEND!

joder Dani, como molan tus videos ! muy guapas imagenes a ver cuando haces una visita a españa
With all the marks you've dived at, what would you say the average depth of water is and what is the maximum you've dived at ?
Depends where in the world I’m diving. Average for me in Australia would be 15-25m.
First video for today 👍🏽👍🏽
You should do a collab with Brodie from YBS for a chance to dive on west coast. when the panic has subsided of course!
Brodie is a dick, don’t be fooled by the numbers, click bait farms are rampant
Brodie is just making a living. Don't be jealous because he goes fishing/spearing as a fulltime job! And he can dive too.
Can you use wood as the shaft I’m making one for school but I’m unsure
What if I weight the end of it.
No buy a trigger mechanism and a spring steel shaft or it will be trash or just make a pole spear
A couple days ago I caught a finger mark but I want a red emperor and a purple cod but I take what I can get and I wish I had seen this sooner lol
Good job! 😁👋🏻
