Nice! This proves that I'm totally unprepared for a full day of geocaching.
    Thank you for this.

Well... You can geocache of course with as little as a pen and phone truly...This covers a majority of all you'd ever need. Thx for the comment!

That is fantastic. Geocaching is such a great activity to share with kids. Keeps that’s magic and whimsy goin for us adults I think.

Very nice! I thought I was the only one who goes overboard when I go out caching....LOL, I have much of the same stuff in my backpack I take along most times when on the trail. But often times I leave it in the car when doing those CND hides but that's when I usually end up needing it the most! LOL....so now I've been trying to take it along anytime I go out. Thanks for showing us what you carry along sir! Great video.

Good tool selection; I'm likewise - most often the tools stay in the car, unless it's a longer hike, then the level 2 kit may come along, unless I know what will be needed then anything's game :)

Hello CGH! Thank you for informing me on what I truly need to be prepared! I think you are a very under-rated channel, I hope grow as geocaching in becoming more popular! One thing you maybe forgot tomention is SWAG's, I always have a few SWAG's in my bag.

Hey thanks the video was helpful. Yep swag is a must, especially with little ones along for the adventure. Keep on caching and please share the channel with friends!

Great video, thank you. In addition to a small bag for the essentials, I keep a little toolbox in my car with lots of different items as mentioned in your video. One thing I keep in the toolbox is scissors. If I have to replace a log scissors come in handy to cut the paper to the exact right size. I know a knife could be used but for me scissors make it easier. Happy Trails.... Satch47

Nice!! I have basically a smaller version, of various bags of stuff in my car/cache mobile- medical kit- I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten stabbed by thorns and had gushing wounds 😩, and tweezers, scissors, pens, zip ties, wire, string,….. all in bags in the car, a bag of swag/toys, tbs that need moving, sig coins, fir leaving, my stamp, extra logs and baggies for replacement…. My cane/walking stick, bug and tick spray, a cap and hair ties to keep bugs out of my hair!… tissues, napkins, hmmmmm oh flashlight, extending magnet tool… and then anything I specifically need for a planned hide/find or maintenance run on a given day.

While checking on a hide near utility poles, I found leftover pieces of incredibly thick yet very flexible aluminum wire on the ground after the workers had finished. I took them all and still carry around the few pieces I have left. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on some. You are so organized! I need to up my game as the mess in my bag frustrates me. Measuring tape... Brilliant! Thanks for the tip :)

You forgot the most important thing = a small roll of toilet paper in a Ziploc. Back story = a few years back I went on a looonngg hike to get some caches. On my way to the woods I stopped at a gas station to get a sub knowing I'd need some lunch being out all day. You see where this is going... About 2 hours after stopping my hike for lunch, the sub decided to turn on me with a vengeance. Long story short = due to lack of options, I ended up finishing my hike without my socks. I ALWAYS hike with TP now. 🚽🧻Kudos to you for helping when caches need minor maintenance. You've inspired me to add a few things to my bag to do the same in the future.
    Cache on!

For Geocaching GPS I use Oruxmaps for Android on my Samsung phone with my 1:50000 Offline topographic maps. Oruxmaps can be used in a phone with no sim card, no signal or in flightmode. I download all the geocaches in the area and place them in the overlay folder so all the data of each geocache comes up without me needing to be online.

What kind of bag do you use? I am still working on mine.
I allways have different batteries with me for gaged caches. Several times I was out missing a 9V or AA... So two of all on me :)
I also have Travel bugs with me, UV might and pen.

Great suggestions! Yes I forget I usually have some batteries as well. Manly for the gps I use for hides. The bag I am currently using is called a G4Free Tactical Messenger Fishing Tackle Side Bag and was only $21 on amazon. I saw another one that another cacher had that was close to identical but his was like $80 so ya, I went the cheaper route. Thanks for the comment!

Gosh there are so many options out there. Mine ran like $10-$20 bucks each. Rubber stamps.com was the place I used last. Have fun and thx for watching!!! Watch my intro to geocaching video if u haven’t yet. Second video I made. 👍

actually I cut it from a full sized clipboard i wasn’t using. Saw another cacher using one and opted to make my own instead of buying one.
