Everything you've mentioned for text on the poneglyph's is exactly where you should be right now. Cryptic :)
You're not missing much with the "I will guide this text to the end of the earth", it's suppossed to be cryptic and intentionally confusing, just to let us, the audience, know that Robin knows a lot more than she lets on
But in reality it was a scribble saying: "I was here."
The skipping of this arc thing feels like an urban legend in this sometimes because I've never actually met someone who did that 🤣
G-8 is a great arc. It's small, but one of the episodes has about 3 minutes that's actually canon to the manga, so always good to keep up with this.
I watched Skypiea, but it's not my favourite arc by any stretch. That belongs to Water 7 and Enies Lobby. It's one of the arcs where the anime pretty much caught up to the manga so the studio had to stretch things out, including the stuff with the priests, which you seem to have felt as well.
As others brought up, the Poneglyphs are supposed to be cryptic for the time being, but you'll understand more about their importance later.

BUT the entire time since from the very beginning when Luffy and the others go to the Sky , he was STRESS-SMOKING , out of anything else he could think of , he just worried about the straw-hats .. shows how much good of a person Monblanc Family is

other than the fake out deaths, skypiea is peak & the blueprint for most theories in one piece. this has some really nice foreshadow for whats to come

Loved the Skypiea arc Eneru is one my favorite antagonist. Eneru is flying toward the moon and he actually makes it there lol. The next canon arc is pretty bad though my little bros ,the first time they watched it, thought it was a filler.

U've understood pretty much all u can up until now with the poneglyphs. The only thing i guess u might like to know, is that u can remember a bit of info about the journey through the grand line by going back to the episode where we met the dude taking care of Laboon the whale. He mentions something about how the grand line is "structured" i guess, and what is at the end

My head cannon is that the Poneglyphs are part of an Ottendorf Cipher, like what you might remember from the movie National Treasure.

So about the text u will know more later so don’t worry, in a simpler way to put it Roger put together the Rio pone glyphs in raftel (robin assume this)so there is no need to protect it anymore cause that was the purpose, the biggest dialogue to put attention imo is “hold our true motive in your heart and speak not of it, we are the one who weave history “ this line is probably low key one of biggest answers and question we have
The Endless Vearth is the moon. And since it's still manga exclusive, I can tell you that there is a story in the official canon where Eneru has adventures on the moon.
