@@randalthor6872 i think at this point in the build they have there is not much for quests etc. its kinda just in the testing / sandbox type phase. so you can play, but you have a set loadout unless you change some of the back end stuff, and you can go around and fight etc. its basic but very very cool since they are kinda creating this from more or less scratch again.
That's a nice reskin for Daimon ;) I gotta say this looks really nice, although I prefer DDDA's cleaner visuals during combat, not the biggest fan of all the flashing lights and numbers rolling all over the screen

Still many things we can't do yet: progression, character changes in-game and talking to npcs etc. But enemy placements are correct mostly, vocation/skills changes ingame are working. And multiplayer of course like you see here.

It’s good the combat feels more fluid and a little bit faster paced the story probably isn’t as good bc it’s not as personal but the DD franchise strong suit was never its story anyway
It is a free to play Crapcom game. It will probably make all your progress grind to a halt during the middle of the campaign, and be bloated with micro-transactions and other typical greedy shit. I don't believe these games will be good as long as they call themselves free to play.

I just finished Bitterback Isle in the original after 140 hours and I just can't get enough of this world. This looks just amazing and I would pay a monthly fee just to play it even in its original state.

Can you still climb on monsters and stab them? At 7:05 it looks like someone does! That was one of my favorite this to do in the base game. That and the assassination counter.
I have yet to so see an MMO to beat the feeling in a well made single player game... An MMO tries to adapt to everyone, the good single player game made you adapt to it...
from what I've been seeing when it comes to the private server is that I don't see any game progression, from everything I see here, you don't start from level 1 and then work your way up but I could be wrong?

Everything that has been done is publicly available, meaning you have access to the files to host the game for yourself and/or friends. The Public Server currently up isn't even really suited for more than like maybe 5 people anyway lol.

BDO requires 256GB RAM just to host, not even play, and that's actual retail files and not reverse-engineered user code. Also, I don't think DD2 even allowed that many players in an instance at once (draw distance and all). There was a cap per party/dungeon I think.

@@Edwin-iw8gb replaced with Shield Sage, which is more of a dedicated tanking and support class that trades the sword for a wand. There's other magic-wielding classes with offensive potential though like Alchemist, Spirit Lancer, and High Scepter.

its unfortunate this looks slightly worse than the og dragons dogma, if only by a little, its just a slight nitpick of mine. Whereas in DD, its true monsters pretty much always spawned in the same areas, here it just looks like your fighting bosses in designated arenas, which is a little disappointing.
this looks so damn fun. this whole project is just a massive feat but im amazed the team has come even this far. i cannot wait to see the rest.

All of those can be reduced or disabled in settings iirc
Yep, that's why I just reduce the UI to the minimum size. Wish there was a way to turn off damage numbers tho.
my one big complaint is the armors ive seen so far as it doesnt have that nice blend of fantasy and realism that dragons dogma had

If I had to guess, I would say that it was already unprofitable in the east, hence why they shut it down before it even had a chance to go global.

Oh yeah you can still climb, an added mechanic is that you can shake the enemy to make them fall over now.

You can actually fight with up to three friends now, that's huge progress imo.
