I think the neighbors should be as ashamed as this judge. They could have taken turns helping with the grass. They could have volunteered, knocked on his door and offered, or son could have asked some to mow it just once while he was gone. Once a week by a different person each week would keep it under control. Where I live, you can literally see the plants grow, we get so much rain.
I guess this judge has never had the flu and needed help (the closest a healthy person can get to feeling like a cancer oatient receiving treatment).

You can't be entirely unbiased. It's impossible. Same with unemotional. In fact, you definitely want the judge to be at least a little emotional, otherwise, what you saw would be more common. Their emotion is something that helps them make more logical and rational decisions, like giving them a break when they're a cancer patient who had a momentary lapse in yard keeping just one time due to a lot of uncontrolled circumstances. They need to be able to control their emotions better than the average person. They should also be able to identify their own biases and not preside over cases they hold too much bias over. They should be able to excuse themselves if they believe they can't make a proper decision due to their own bias. I'm asking for the universe and more with that, but that's how it should be.

@albertcarello619 please know that the Judge Judy is simply that; a show. She is playing a character for the show. What these court shows do is something called "binding arbitration" where people who have real cases in small claims court agree to appear on the show and plead their cases and have an attorney (the "judges") decide the fate of those cases rather than appear in an actual court in front of an actual judge. Those that lose the case get paid only by the TV show and those that win the cases receive whatever amount the judgment is AND are paid by the TV show. Basically, both parties end up leaving with some kind of money for agreeing to have their cases publicly seen on a TV show (albeit heavily edited and they're forced to do some form of acting to keep the show interesting) and decided upon through the binding arbitration process. I encourage you to look it up.

For the weeds in the alley, here in Idaho, i was in court for a traffic ticket back in the mid 90s. Court was full of elderly people. As i sat there several elderly people are brought up on code violations for weeds just like this guys in the alley. Then next guy walks up pulling an o2 tank and his reply is to hold up two tickets with the pictures from code enforcement. One said he wasnt maintaining the weeds on his property, the next says he left his garbage cans in the alley which is city property. The judge took immeadiate interest in the pictures, since wow they were pictures of the same area from two different directions. The old guy then said he pulled his property deed and stated that he agreed to the 30 dollar fine for the cans since they were actually on city easement. But asked when will the city come cut down the weeds or if he can bill the city for it if he does it. The judge caught on real quick, asked who else was in for weed abatement related to alleys, she dismissed all the tickets then openly chewed out the code enforcement officer who wrote the tickets. Indeed it was the city who failed to maintain the weeds, and the judge also commented that if you read the sanitation rules, the garbage cans are supposed to be in that easement area. Long story short, with that dismissal the entire courtroom cleared out leaving only a couple of us left. She then must have had enough because she dismissed the rest of our ticktes without even calling anyone up. She just thumbed through and went, case number, dismismissed, case number dismissed, case number dismissed. It was a good day.

The yard one was very sad😢. Maybe a whoever complained about his yard should have thought of helping him instead of calling the police 😮…smh so so sad😢
The judge should be ashamed of herself!!!

@@ToeKnife166yea it’s similar with police brutality. The picture is painted with a broad brush. Although there are a LOT of judges/police/law enforcement who abuse their power and think they are above law, the news and media make it out as if it’s every law enforcement personnel. There are still many many many of them who are good and who are heroes, and don’t want that picture painted for them. I just feel like there is more videos of law enforcement abusing power instead of saving/helping people.

@@ToeKnife166it’s been my experience more judges act like this than don’t. I know of only two judges that are actually good people and try to be fair unbiased and helpful.

How can judges have the authority to ruin people’s lives and disrupt people’s routines. But only get the option to resign if egregious enough
