Appreciate this interview. Thru Hiked the AT in 22, heading out on the PCT April 2024. I too was like, no way I'm hiking the CDT. Grizzlies and predatory men are my fears, but just a few days ago, before I've stepped foot on the PCT, I decided\know that I will hike the CDT. I'm a little scared to hike the cdt but what life is worth living by avoiding your fears-especially if it means missing doing things you love. This story gives me more confidence. Thank you!

Lived in Polk County TN. like the knob. Huckleberry.
Colorado. Worked at Rocky out of wild basin. Like Meeker west side area and Indian peaks. Blanca area/Dunes.

After living out west never hiking anything east again. Not going to tiny dog black hills either. Yellowstone. Sierra. Cascades. Utah. I don't go below I 40 either.
