Candy Mama here! yes this used to be a couples account with my husband named "THE DOWER DUO". We have since rebranded it to feature my individual adventures.
a little about me~ wife first, adventurer second! I have thru hiked the Appalachian Trail and Mountains-To-Sea Trail. I am the fastest person to ever hike the Mountains-To-Sea Trail spanning the length of North Carolina. 1175 miles in 29 days! I've also set FKTs on the Benton MacKaye Trail and Colorado Trail. I enjoy creating wanderlust content and trail running!
I hope you enjoy!

BEING A CREW MEMBER IS IMPORTANT
Incredibly important!
Crewing looks like fun. Drive like crazy to the next crossing, set up, relax, greet and help, then do it all over again.
You all are amazing. Good luck on Hardrock!
It was fun! And I also learned exhausting! But I’d do again. Thanks
And you kinda skipped the part about pacing a marathon at night over mountains. I take your point though I thought this omission was kinda funny. This ain't 'trail magic'.
Really cool!! Grt behind the scenes. Congrats to Kyle, you and the whole crew!! 💪
This was great!
such a neat perspective!! always wanted to see BTS crew stuff
Freaking amazing! You guys crewed really well it looked like to me. Giving options to Kyle seemed to suit his personality well as far as what to eat, etc.. I'm imagining a list everyone could fill out: "If I were these 5 things I'd be right there with you!". I'm too old and unfit (thought I do work outdoors) to even start that list myself, but I think it's really eye-opening for us non-ultra, nomies to think about what it would take to even pace or crew an effort like this, let alone be the solo.
I thought your editing and filming was 1st class. Really allowed the viewer to get a sense of it with minimal but good exposition. Thanks so much for this I found it really inspiring!
OMG! Did you finally meet Courtney??? I AM SO JEALOUS!!!
YES! 👍 And she was amazing as expected
6 plus days of smashing feet on rocks, oh the pain.
Great pacing, crewing, eating & sleeping on demand is a skill set ! ✅✅
👍🐿👍
Stay safe and keep having an awesome journey.
Hi Tara, What brand of hat are you wearing? (the green one)
