You looked it up and made it right. That’s what’s matters! Good on you, Morgan. I recently leaned about “Sitting Shiva” because on amazing things a good friend of mine did (Tw: infant loss). A very dear friend of mine-one of my two best friends really-, “Mary,” who I started working with just after college-for more than a decade now-recently had a baby who was essentially a stillborn (this happened last November- the day before Thanksgiving). At around 20 weeks into her pregnancy she learned her little girl had a type of anacephaly (not at all genetic-but a congenital neural tube birth defect). Her little body was perfectly healthy, but she only had a brain stem that was functional and healthy-the rest of her brain didn’t develop properly-or at all. She grew perfectly, but they knew she could not live very long outside of my friend “Mary’s” body-for a few hours-or days at most. So she (and only she as is her human RIGHT -along with the support from her husband who was amazing through the whole thing…I often say “I’m holding out to find my Joe” b/c of him…) -*-chose-*- to carry the baby to term knowing that they baby’s body was healthy, but she simply could not live outside the womb for more than a few hours (and there were no guarantees of that either) so that they could donate her organs to help other baby’s and young children. They performed a c-section on Mary at 37 weeks-so that labor and a hard birth would not harm the fragile baby (or risk the little one dying at the end of the pregnancy as so many babies with anacephaly often do). Then they put her on life support, let her and her husband and oldest daughter hold her and say their hellos and goodbyes, and then took her back to the OR so they could begin to prices of sending the organs so that her sweet-longed for baby-would save other little ones and not die “without making her mark on this world-how ever briefly she was here,” (Mary and Joe’s words). Mary and Joe were allowed to sit just outside the OR (Mary still drugged up in a wheel chair as their baby left this world). I had the honor and privilege or sitting with Mary’s older daughter “May” and Mary’s mother outside on the grounds of the hospital looking at the changing colors of the leaves there in the foothills of the Southern Appalachians, on a beautiful day on a bench on the grounds of a well known University hospital two hours from our town that Mary drove to for care and to deliver Maggie in order to make sure the organs were harvested correctly (and it is within about 5 hours or less or 8-10 other University Hospitals that do organ transplants ). Little “Maggie” donated the organs to save other babies (a beloved family member of Mary’s-and a friend of Joes-was saved by a transplant over 20 years ago). As for sitting Shiva, several Jewish doctors at her practice sat Shiva-for a full 24 hour --*-with their families-*- (making them stay home from going out with friends-even the college students). They even had the college kids sit Shiva the Friday after Thanksgiving-staying home except to visit Mary briefly-and separately- before she left the hospital the day after Thanksgiving. One pointed out that the children who had received the Maggie’s organs had likely received them on Thanksgiving (this all happened the Wednesday before Thanksgiving)and others-even their Rabbi-and even some of their synagogue in her honor- and her baby’s honor/memory (then came to the actual funeral/-which is exceptionally rare for doctors to do-in fact, it’s pretty much unheard of ). I’m writing her story for her and hope to have it published eventually (when we are all ready and she and the doctor are maybe-one day I hope-let me interview them for the story). Perhaps even the parents of the child/children who received the organ(s). The little girl would have been my Goddaughter. We don’t know much about what children/babies or what organs they may have recover other than at least 4 children have been saved. Most likely more. And one has-hopefully-had their eyesight restored. If you ever want to do beautiful stories that will make you cry on this page: I’ll write it and share it fully. I write (or am attempting to write) non fiction articles and essays and fiction as well. But I could never make up a more bittersweet beautiful story as this. However, let me make this very clear to any one reading this or hearing this story…and Mary would and does say the same thing-to carry Maggie for 20 plus weeks (and 37 in total), knowing she would not get to take her baby home and watch her grow up was her choice-and ultimately only HER choice-and NEVER EVER one any woman should feel like they should have to make the same decision in a similar situation. Much less be *forced* by zealots and misogynists in the government to make (and many women probably couldn’t or shouldn’t do what Mary did. I couldn’t mentally do it). Nor should they feel compelled to do so from Mary’s story (or feel guilt for not doing what she did in a similar situation. Mary would be the first person to tell you that). Mary is very very Pro-Choice…and this was her CHOICE (with they support of her wonderful husband, family, and friends). This story is NOT to be used for Pro-Life rhetoric. And if/when I write an article-and should it get published (interviewing everyone involved) I will make very very sure that the absolutely incredible gift my friend and her daughter have given to others can not be used for political ends (I will make it very very clear that “Mary” and everyone involved . “Mary,” is very concerned with the overturning of Roe Vs. Wade and what that will mean for all women-including her daughters. And yes, I said “daughters,” -plural. Over Labor Day weekend, at a cookout, Mary and Joe pulled us into the house to surprise us with a video of an ultrasound of a beautiful-absolutely healthy little girl named “Madeline Mary” (think a name similar sounding-and in meaning- to her sweet sister’s name with her mother’s middle name -her 12 year old daughter’s idea-type name). I will be Maddie’s Godmother, too (raising her and her sister if God forbid anything happens to Mary and Joe). Anyhow, at times Mary and Joe wake up to the sound of a baby cooing sweetly at night (although it has almost completely stopped since she became pregnant again…which raises quite a few questions itself-especially as neither are religious at all, nor am I). Her daughter “May” has heard it before, too. And I think, while watching May, I may have heard it at well. It is a sweet and calming sound that isn’t at all scary. In fact it is reassuring. And even if it isn’t real-I’m glad they hear it anyways as it gives them peace. (And yes, before anyone tells me, I’m aware that other women have done this as well. That was where my friend got her idea to go through with the pregnancy and donate the organs. A few years ago, she had read an article about a woman who did this as well-written by her husband several months). I would like to ALSO write an article, with Mary, and (and perhaps medical professionals) about the choices women facing these decisions won’t necessarily get to make in so many states in a post Roe Vs. Wade Country🤬. The parents whose child received Maggie’s heart has reached out. Joe and I-when Mary is ready (and she will eventually be some…we speak to her openly about it) hope to arrange a meeting…perhaps on Thanksgiving or around that one-or even Valentines Day when her baby is a month old-to meet this family and little toddler. We’ll see. So, there is my story about sitting Shiva, something that is spooky-but sweet spooky (whether it is a figment of our imaginations or not-I don’t know) . It’s also a story I love to share because my heart bursts for pride for my absolutely amazing, “steel magnolia” -like a sister to me-best friend, “Mary.” (And of course my precious Angel of a Goddaughter “Maggie”) and I want to tell them world about them.
A bummer your face painter bailed but it might have been a good thing. It was mentioned that you wanted to get your face painted but it sounded a bit like a sugar skull face paint. Día de les Muertos is a holiday that derives back from our native people. There is a lot that goes into celebrating it. It is a sacred holiday for most. I’m sure you were just trying to get skull face painting that most likely had nothing to do with this. But please be aware that dressing up as día de los muertos is offensive to most Mexicans. Our traditions are not costumes.
@@alizemontoya9277 stop getting offended when ppl don't mean anything negative. I love when other cultures learn and like to represent us. Trust me MOST MEXICANS don't get offended when there is no offense intended. Morgan I hope to see ur face painted in the next video!
I really feel like it's the concept that inspired that movie, I think it was called Unfriended or something, but I'm sure they had to change it because they didn't want to pay someone else for their idea 🙃 but the actual story from reddit would've been soooo much better
I definitely wasn’t expecting to cry from a spooky episode but Alejandra said something that really struck a cord in my heart. I recently lost my cat and I couldn’t help but tear up when she said “grief is just love that has no where to go”. That’s seriously the only thing I’ve heard that truly explains just how painful grief is. Thank you for that, I feel so elated.
thank god it’s not real tho cuz the first time i read it was when i was still in high school, and it scared me so bad i couldn’t sleep with the lights off that night 😂
A great aunt of mine has the best ghost. They'd been living in the house for a couple of years when she had to get surgery. The first day she was allowed to be home on her own she overdid it going up and down the stairs. She noticed she'd left the bedroom light on upstairs and couldn't get up them again to turn them off. She was chastising herself out loud for it when she saw the lights go out...weird. Later that night she put popcorn in the microwave but forgot to turn it on, she asked my uncle to go start it but before he got up they heard the button beep and the microwave turn on. They discovered a young woman had taken her life due to her parents being unaccepting of her. She hadn't done anything until she saw my Aunt needed help. My Aunt chats with the girl and says hello and goodbye and the ghost switches lights on and off in response.
Me and my boyfriend had our little ghost. When I moved in with him I would see this little boy running around his dad's house, and I'm not sure of anything about him but he would run around and lights would turn off and on. And there were a few times that we would be talking and hanging out and end up falling alseep with the light on and door open, just to wake up to our door partially closed and the lights off. It was a really cute. And sometimes we'd say "thanks ghosty"
Last tuesday I was at work And a lady walked in with a kid The kid kept hiding behind her and occasionally would glance at me and giggle, I commented that the kid was cute and she looked around and said what kid When I look back down There was no kid The restaurant was empty at the moment and my coworkers were in the kitchen I have had other weird events but this one is recent and just stuck in my head
I lived in the countryside with an abandoned golf course in front of my house. Someone lost their macaw and it lived in my backyard. A week later, I saw a man walking around the golf course repeatedly calling out a name. I figured he was the guy who lost his bird so I ran after him. I tried getting his attention by running at him and yelling out, but he always kept his back to me and was walking away. I was thinking maybe he's deaf and so I thought I needed to catch up and tap him on his shoulder. I got about 5 yards away and he disappeared right in front of me. Just. Poof.
omg tho at 1:28:20 the timer to my microwave had gone off and IMMEDIATELY alejandra was like “what was that?! did you just hear a noise?!” and that scared me more than any of these stories did 😂😂
@@HDGamingPlus oh gosh that’s freaky!!! i was only listening with one airpod in so either that or the microwave meant i couldn’t hear it 😱 fingers crossed it was just morgan’s elephant neighbors!! 😂
Oh my goodness, during like the fourth story, there is a message that like I had been sent with the name is Samantha, and that’s my name, and I literally pulled my earbud out at that moment
I've had psychic dreams as well. My cousin died after being hit by a drunk driver while he was crossing the road. He was only 15. I was 12 at the time and devastated as we were very close growing up. Since his passing I've dreamt of him twice. The first time was after his funeral. We was a skater and I remember being in the back of a van with a bunch of kids skating in a park around us. He told me he loved me, that I didn't need to cry for him anymore, and that he was okay and he would always be there. I didn't dream of him again until 10 years later. We were talking in a grassy median in the middle of the street just catching up. Then all of a sudden he says "it's been so good talking to you but I gotta go do something rn" we said our goodbyes and hugged. The next day I found out his dad and brother were in a car accident involving a drunk driver. It was bad but they got out with only a little whiplash. Some people might think that's a coincidence but I don't.
Omggg, when Alejandra said "grief is love that has nowhere to go", it broke me!! It makes so much sense why I'm constantly in this state. Came for the spooks, stayed for the enlightenment 💕
The facebook story just gave me severe chills down my whole body. I heard it on spotify first then came here to see you guys again. Welcome backkkk Alejandra🎉
Idk Sia sounds pretty smart with the "last seen" selfie thing. Crime happens randomly and when you least expect it. It's not like taking a selfie and sending to a loved one takes more than 1 minute of your time and if nothing happens then they just get a nice picture of you anyway. This is a win win honestly
I did that with my friends when we went out to bars, we have a group chat and I asked everyone to take selfie or photo of themselves and we posted them so we all had them there just in case
honestly yeah 💀 i don't think its that bad it was just a way to keep them safe, maybe it takes five minutes tops. i guarantee if it took longer it was cause there was pushback about it. its the "it won't happen to me" mindset
I totally agree. And I've heard of loads of stories in Paris of human trafficking. It can happen anywhere, you really can't have too much of a guard. Better safe than sorry
The winchester house is slightly different from what you said, yes she kept building her mansion everyday, but not because she thought she would die. She was the widow and heiress of the winchester company, they manufactured guns and rifles. The widow was convinced that the lives that were lost by the hand of their firearms would come seek revenge on the makers of the firearms. So she build rooms and hallways that led to nowhere in order to confuse/trap the spirits so they could never get to her. It is an amazing story, watch the movie to get a better picture of the thought behind the house and the renovations.
you guys should read creepy stories from r/no sleep for Halloween. there is this one series of stories I lovee. it's a guy transcribing his grandfathers stories as a past homicide detective but they were these unsolved mysteries that he never solved. incredible ! also, missed alejandra ! love this podcast and you guys
Spiriting away is from Japanese folklore, culture and referenced in a lot of Japanese pop culture. It means for one to mysterious vanish or die after angering the gods. A bit of a different meaning than OPs story, but essentially the same concept of a spirit trying to bring you with them to the spirit realm. I'm sure most people have seen Studio Ghiblis film called Spirited Away, which illustrates Chihiro being taken from reality to the spirit realm.
I love Spirited Away ❤️ I love all Studio Ghibli's films, my all time favorite being Ponyo. All Studio Ghibli works are extremely beautiful, such talented film makers.
Jenny! At least that's what she was called in the version I read. I liked to wear a ribbon around my neck as a kid during spooky season because of that. It also helped that I have the same name.
My beloved Grandpa passed last week and I remembered I had voicemails from him. Hearing Alejandra say how much she wishes she had that made me appreciate my voicemails from him even more❤
The Facebook story really hit me in the chest. Recently had a dream where I was talking to my uncle who was found dead last year (we still don’t what happened). I was telling him I didn’t want to be here anymore and asked him where we go when we die and he answered “there’s nothing”. Messed me up some more.
I now want Ryan and Shane from watcher to be guests for a spooky episode. Especially since they are starting up their spooky stuff soon. Edit to clarify, I mean the ghoul boys from buzzfeed unsolved, not the gross Shane and Rylan that shouldn't be on UA-cam.
The rules of nosleep have always been the same. I’m obsessed with nosleep!! I love that people comment as if the story is real and I just love the whole concept of the subreddit. I’m always listening to UA-camrs like MrCreepPasta, CreepsMcPasta, MrCreeps, etc. They will routinely read stories from this subreddit and always they do such a phenomenal job bringing the stories to life.
Idk if y’all will see this but as a person that’s been on no sleep since I was in high school, those rules have always been the rules, more or less, you’re supposed to go into every story with the thought of this is real, even if it’s not. It’s an amazing and horrifying sub, that I fully support you reading more of (just be careful, some of them can get very dark) Additionally, the Facebook one is one of legend I would say in that sub. It’s by far one of the most popular ones to come out of it. I swear I felt like there were more parts to it but I don’t know if they were deleted or something. Also as far as the heart comment, other users blew up the photo of her “tagged” in the background while he’s in the couch. In the doorframe, it looks like there is a person wearing a heart shaped belt. That’s what the op was referring to Love you guys! Welcome back Alessandra! ❤
I am so glad you guys didnt read the story from nosleep called "My Wife Keeps Peeking at Me" because i almost died when I read it and I dont think I could handle hearing it again LMAOOO
@@lupe-il5ktit’s very long, so a summary wouldn’t do it justice, but i’ll try my best. OP and his wife had been married for nearly 7 years, and it had been extremely normal, smooth sailing. OP stressed that his wife, Lynn, has never liked horror movies or creepy shit like this, and has never had any history or family history of mental health issues, so this behavior is wildly out of character for her. about 2 months before OP’s post, Lynn began peeking at OP from behind corners or furniture, with wide eyes and an excited grin. every time he’d catch her, she’d scurry away quickly. pretty early on, OP confronted her about it as casually as possible, but Lynn laughed it off. Lynn kept peeking at OP more and more, even peeking from odd places like an old trunk at the end of their bed. it stopped for a few weeks, but one day Lynn left to go to a friend’s house and OP was taking a shower. he had his eyes closed when he felt like he was being watched. he opened his eyes to see Lynn peeking into the shower, face and hair wet, and a deranged smile on her face as her makeup ran. she left and slammed the bathroom door, which OP locked and began pacing around the bathroom. he stayed there for more than an hour, then began hearing muffled giggling. he thought Lynn was on the other side of the door so he got pissed and told her to knock it off. but she didn’t respond. he stayed there for about half an hour and worked up the courage to open the bathroom door. before he could open it, he heard a noise from the bathroom closet door, where his wife had been shaking in excitement with a grotesque smile on her face. he ran out the house and drove to his brother’s house. he couldn’t fall asleep there, and found her peering at him through the window, drooling with pure joy. he stayed there for one more night, and his brother’s wife mentioned how Lynn had stopped by one morning while he was sleeping and was reeling from him leaving with no explanation. OP even called Lynn’s mother who refused to help, but suggested she seek psychiatric help. OP and his brother Chris eventually drove back to OP and Lynn’s house. the front door was ajar and the house smelled of rot. there was no sign of Lynn inside the house, almost as if it had been abandoned. chris suggested OP pack some things so they can come back another time since Lynn wasn’t home. while OP was packing clothes, he opened the bedroom closet and came across the rotting stench. it came from a bunch of eyeballs, all ranging in size and laid out in pairs. after the discovery and packing, OP felt eyes on him again. peering from underneath the bed was Lynn, unable to contain her excitement. her hands were covered in blood and she smelled terrible. OP approached her gently, wanting to help, but Lynn attacked him with a broken shard of glass. chris called after him and Lynn’s expression turned to rage as she scooted out from under the bed. as they both ran out, Lynn hopped on OP’s back and tore the shard down his back, but OP managed to shake her off. OP and chris then drove to the hospital to get stitched up, and when the police investigated the place, Lynn wasn’t there. OP dropped chris off at his home and rented a room in a motel about an hour away. here’s the ending from the post: “This is where I've been for the last 4 hours. I thought maybe the police would find her, maybe they'd get her the help she desperately needs. But now I don't think so. Because 40 minutes ago I got a text from an unknown number. Just three words : "I found You." And a picture attached. The picture was dark and grainy, but I instantly knew what it was. There was no mistaking my wife's eye. I started typing this out immediately after. I don't know what to do. I'm alone and scared, and I can't help but feel that I'm being watched….”
Alejandra dreaming of her uncle visiting her reminds me of all the times my dad and grandpa visited me in my dreams just to check up on me. I know they're not here anymore, but it feels so real. I wake up with tears in my eyes every time because I miss them both so much.
I don’t know why, but the story about the dead girlfriend honestly scared me way more than the killer counting down. I’m at work as I type this and finish listening to the podcast. I just finished taking a break while listening to the story about the girlfriend on Facebook and I genuinely felt sick. I had tears in my eyes that were totally involuntary, just out of fear, especially when she said freezing. It gave me chills and I jumped when the vent quietly came on in the break room because I started feeling cold too all of a sudden. I suppose I just listen to and watch too many stories about murder and the countdown intrigued me more than disturbed me. The ones who speak about death often don’t know and the ones who know what death is really like often can’t tell us. So to think, even if it’s fiction, to even imagine it’s her telling us what it’s like… absolutely rocked me to my core. Happy spooky season!
It almost reminds me of the Upside Down in Stranger Things because Will almost died with how cold it was there. Definitely spooky! I hope Nathan was able to move on and live his life comfortably.
My baby passed at three days old and at the service, I took pictures of her in the casket. Even doing so it felt weird and I wondered what people would think but at the same time, it was the last time I've ever see her so I just felt like I needed to take that opportunity.
Plot twist 🤣 first story guy just had a picture of his sleeping grandmother and they hid her and didn't want to pay for her because why get charged for 80+ lady?
That was my thought! 😅 Like, what if that’s just their way to have a family vacation but not pay for Grandma? That’s why I wish they would go through the process to check the tapes.
@@emilyweber9619 lol I don’t think anyone would go through that much trouble. It’s plenty of easier ways to get away w/ extra ppl in a hotel room. Plus how do you explain her not leaving w/ them ? Not like they can stuff her in a luggage bag 🤣
i heard the screech too, and then rewatched multiple times and it was neither of you.... it's very faint, but i can hear it with my headphones. it happened again right before alejandra said "i just heard something in my headphones" 👀
Every time Alejandra is in the pod cast I feel like I’m there because she LITERALLY ALWAYS asks the questions that I’m thinking of or says exactly the comment I’m thinking 😂. Oddly enough my middle name is also Alejandra
Friendly reminder for everyone that Elisa Lam’s family has been begging people to stop speculating about her death for years, she very likely had some kind of psychological break while off medication and watching people make her death into a true crime mystery continues to retraumatize them ❤
The first story, Isn't too creepy to me because Cheongsam is clearly Asian attire and ancestors are a major part in Chinese holidays and traditions. Visits from ancestors are seen as very positive which is why I think the son wasn't freaked out at all. Plus, so close to her death, I would see this as a positive thing and possibly a message if we take culture into account. :)
Disneyland is very haunted if you're looking for the excuse. Cecile is now 'The Stay on Main'. If you do go in person ghost hunting a spirit box is a MUST!!! You will get voices from a spirit box.
My best friend was murdered in her own home when she was 15. her mom still lives there. And i get it. There was one really bad thing happend there. But there was 15 years of good memories. She took her first steps in that house. She said her first words there. Where ever i look in that house i can remeber severall good memories from exactly that spot. They moved there when my bf was 3 months old. We where neighbors. My mom came knocking on her mom’s door with me on her arm to intreduse her self. That’s how they became friends and that’s how me and her became best friends. I do think of the night she lost her life when i am in the house, but i also think about 1000 good memories. Her room is there, her smell is there. And nothing creepy is happening in that house. I think she was/is haunting the man who killed her tho. He tried to off him self in prison. He said that he could hear her voise all the time telling him to off him self. I don’t feel bad for him. Hope he has that terror for the rest of his life. Anyways, i love to know that her family is still in her home. And if her mom ever sold the house i would be so sad. And in the apartment i live in now, my mom and dad lived before me. My dad died here. He had a bad heart and diabetes. One day he had low bloodsuggar and his heart gave up. He died in a spot in the livingroom where i sit every day. Sometimes i can smell insulin. It had a distingt smell, does not smell good at all. When i mell that i think he is here to check on me. I say hi dad, i am doing fine. And just talk to him. But other then that nothing happends here. That someone died or their life got taken in a house doe’s not mean it’s haunted. So many people seem to think that. Ofcourse i think it happends in some cases but i don’t think it’s the norm.
OMG, every story creping the hell out me and i have some story to tell. hearing more people experienced such things makes me a little bit comfortable for the word that we all living.
Morgan, I am sooo thankful for your podcast! I listen to it every week as i take the train to visit my boyfriend, and you and your guests have REALLY helped me! I used to suffer from panic attacks, especially triggered by wearing a facemask. At one point, i could no longer wear one, and got an official card saying so. But conducteurs usually did not care, tried to bully me out of the train of even refused me to enter. Visiting my boyfriend became horrible, almost impossible. Your podcast got me through it though! Listening to your calm voice and the good vibes you have with your guest, calmed me down enough to travel through the panic. I since have gotten medication and therapy, and a few week ago I was abld to quit my meds fully. Veryyyy long way to say, thank you, truly truly thank you for all the effort and consistency!
My boyfriend doesnt speak english, so i interpreted from eng to spanish the entire video. He LOVED it. Me on the other hand, I found it entertaining like horror movie. My boyfriend believes in ghots, UFOs, spirits, etc, I DONT. Like I said to him: "If you are happy believing, great, but i dont have to believe just because you do". I did have fun interpreting the video and explaining my boyfriend the context of english words so he could understand it better. I slept like a cat after this (for at least 10 hs straight), my boyfriend slept like a baby (waking up in the middle of the night crying). Cant wait to do this again with him, it was fun.
in regards to alejandra discussing visitation dreams and the feelings surrounding them, i lost my mom in a tragic way 2 years ago and we were super close, i’ve always been a spiritual person and definitely receptive to visitations through dreams and such. about a month after it happened i had a very vivid dream that i strongly believe was her coming to me and letting me know she was okay now and i do remember waking up with an intense feeling of her presence and like a huge weight had been lifted in a way. some of these stories do have a lot of beauty intertwined with the sad or spooky and i think it made for a fun episode with some really good topic points❤
I was in a hostel in Prague a few years ago with a friend. We were in a dormitory style room that fit about 16-20 people on bunk beds. It was quite empty though. There were 4 men in the room, all on their own. We made casual conversation with 3 of them. The beds were arranged top to tail along the walls. The fourth man (in the bottom bunk next to ours) had made curtains out of his clothes and never poked his head out. Just played heavy metal music loudly the whole time. We all thought this was weird but also incredibly rude. 2 nights in my friend and I had noticed this man was in the dorm all day long (confirmed by asking other men in the room), but he would leave every night between 3 and 5am. On our third day we came back to drop stuff off and during the change of songs I heard what I knew was something scraping off flint (I’d had an ex that collected switch blades. I see that for the red flag it is now) I went over to the luggage space and positioned myself so I could see past his makeshift curtain and saw he was sharpening a knife. I grabbed my friend, ran to the womens dorm bathroom and we waited to catch the other dormmates one by one as they passed. After one of the guys fake tripped and tore down the curtain to be double sure, we approached reception and told them there was a person in our room with a weapon. He was kicked out. As my friend and I were waiting for a tram a while later, we noticed the guy sitting with his luggage, knife in his lap, on a bench outside the hostel. One of the other guys from our room stood with us while we waited and later told us that once we ran for the tram, the guy tried to follow but didn’t get there before the door closed.
Holy shit that's soo scary! I'm glad one of the guys was there to stay with you and your friend at the tram station. Question, do you think the guy with the knife had malicious intends for you, your friend and the other guys? Or do you think he was just a weird dude not really concerned about how he came across to all of you and was just living in his own, creepy world? I'm glad you and your friend are safe🙏🏼
Hey! I'm actually from Prague, and we have MANY spooky legends and spooky fairytales, especially in Staré město (Old town) and so on. It's a very historical city :) It was so cool to hear a story from my city, since not many people talk about Czech republic. Love u 🖤
I have experienced the same thing as Alejandra with my grandpa who passed a few years ago! I'm happy I'm not the only person who have those vivid dreams. Each time I swear my grandpa was there- it feels so real. I always wake up drained. I truly think it's real and it's how our loved ones try to visit us.
Ummm I definitely heard that screech noise that Alejandra heard after you guys got done talking about the facebook story. I heard it and then Alejandra said she did too and I'm like wait what
The first story I feel like the man’s mother felt the receptionist was the only person who would or could have an interaction with her son to let him know that she’s still with him. That could be why the receptionist was the only one who could see the man’s mother.
I 100% have visitation dreams with my grandad, they're almost lucid as I'm very aware its a dream and he's visiting and there is no word I can use to describe the euphoric excitement of being in their presence again but also the sadness and fear because you know its such a fleeting moment with them. You can feel the presence of their soul its amazing!!
I was always told bad/evil things come in 3. If you’re getting the same message 3 times, Or hear the same sound 3 times, etc. Be careful 😳 Emily repeats herself 3 times very often
I went to Prague last week for the first time in my life. I got CHILLS when you started the story of the missing roommate. While planning the trip I wanted to go on a ghosts of Prague tour or to the horror museum.. Didn't get a chance to do that sadly! Now I hear this story a week after. Feels pretty ominous to me
I can’t believe this is officially the 2nd spoopy season with y’all and this podcast 🫶🤩 I’ve been listening for over a year now when’s y’all’s official anniversary? Merch drop ? 😌
"These stories are from our viewers so I believe all of them" - that's the perfect way to summarise why people believe in ghosts. And, as someone who once was considering pursuing career in academia in physics, all that talk about "energies" made me cry.
Would love to see the Winchester Mansion! It's on my bucket list. Supposedly it was the wife of the gentleman who invented the Winchester rifle, and she believed that all the people that her husband's rifle killed were going to come back to haunt and or kill her. I once read that she would never sleep in the same bedroom for more than a couple days in a row and when the San Francisco earthquake occurred, it took days to find her. She built the house to confuse the ghosts that she thought were chasing her...doorways that open to nowhere, staircases that lead to ceilings, secret passageways, etc.
She was in the Daisy room at the time of the earthquake and was only trapped for a few hours! I've been obsessed with that place since I was a kid and saw it on a History Channel show. She worked the number thirteen into many of her designs, and so many other strange things, I would love to visit and go on a tour, or even stay the night.
I have my own ghost story. Late into the night, my toddler’s chair moved as I was watching tv in the living room. At first, I didn’t think anything of it. Kiddo and doggo are always bumping into furniture, so I assumed it was one of them and shrugged it off. Then I realized that the dog was cuddled up right next to me and our son was in his room asleep. I remember feeling calm and like there was no reason to worry but it really freaked my partner out so I saged the house. I found out the next morning that my grandma passed away in the night. I like to think it was her saying everything was going to be ok ❤
Just for Alejandra, the Cecil hotel was renamed the Stay on Main. The Stanley hotel is a spooky hotel in Colorado that the hotel in the Shining is based off of
There’s a really awesome haunted mansion, Rosedale, in Charlotte NC. You can feel all the spirits of you are willing to be kind to them. There are hundreds of spirits, and all but 2 are good. 2 are dark energies. It was a beautiful experience to go. I don’t see spirits, but I can see their energy-dark, playful, kind, curious, etc. It’s a historical site, but they also do haunted tours. It’s super active in both the day and evening. There was a little boy that followed my parents and I the whole time and my mom and I both felt him. My mom saw him.
I remember being on reddit, watching the story about the dead Facebook girlfriend go down. It was so mind blowing to me back then, and again now years later it still bends my mind, even knowing it's possibly fiction.
I remember reading the no sleep story you read back when it was posted! No sleep is fake stories, but you’re supposed to pretend they’re real so as not to ruin to fun
That is actualy kind of sweet the first story ! I fully believe that we live in different dimensions but kind of sweet that she was joining them on their vacation❤❤
I clicked the newest episode to listen to on Spotify for my drive home. Did not read the title. Flash to me listening that second to last story on a dark back road in the middle of no where. Oh and when Morgan was talking about someone in my back seat I panicked and checked my review mirror a million times. I’m now home (alone 😅) about to watch the last story on here. Probably gonna have to sleep with the light on tonight
The no sleep that sticks with me to this day is the mold people series. I’ll never forget it and I’ll always be horrified thinking about it. That and I’m At Your Bedroom Window and I Know You Can Hear Me
I fell asleep while watching this and had the weirdest dreams, and i could hear you 2 speaking in my dreams! It was so weird but kinda cool. Im also now making the place i was at the dream the setting for my most recent animation XD
Also its Shiva not Seder for when a loved one passes in Judaism.. my brain went a bit broken there 🙈
Ong you had me shaking In my boots
Idk about Judaism, but shiva is also the name of a hindu god. Cool to see different religions have the same name for different things!
One pointed out that the children who had received the Maggie’s organs had likely received them on Thanksgiving (this all happened the Wednesday before Thanksgiving)and others-even their Rabbi-and even some of their synagogue in her honor-
and her baby’s honor/memory (then came to the actual funeral/-which is exceptionally rare for doctors to do-in fact, it’s pretty much unheard of ).
Morgan I hope to see ur face painted in the next video!
the girlfriend messages story to this day is my favourite horror story i’ve ever seen on reddit. the writer is so talented.
It literally gave my chills from the VERY beginning
it’ll haunt me for years
I really feel like it's the concept that inspired that movie, I think it was called Unfriended or something, but I'm sure they had to change it because they didn't want to pay someone else for their idea 🙃 but the actual story from reddit would've been soooo much better
@@osllq9355 for a moment I thought I smoked too much and your name flipped on me, but nope your name is upside down 🤣🤣🤣
Do you have a link to that story?
I definitely wasn’t expecting to cry from a spooky episode but Alejandra said something that really struck a cord in my heart. I recently lost my cat and I couldn’t help but tear up when she said “grief is just love that has no where to go”. That’s seriously the only thing I’ve heard that truly explains just how painful grief is. Thank you for that, I feel so elated.
The no sleep story about the dead girlfriend is still easily the creepiest story I have ever read
No idea why, but it reminded me of the creepy story called The Smiling Man.. oh gods, I remember getting nightmares from that one
@@mangalover0149 I think i remember that... thanks 😅

Agree! I love Alejandra!

I love both of them so muchhhhh ,, AHHHH🥰❤️
Yesss they’re my favs!!
Same! I wish Morgan, Lauren, and Alejandra did more episodes together 😭😭
We need Morgan to record an Audiobook. I love her voice, I can just listen to her for hours
The one about Nathan and Emily gave me full body chills which, honest to God, never happens...if that's fake, the OP should be a professional author
I swear I had chills and was so spooked out. I’m gonna go sleep over at my boyfriends cuz I for sure wont sleep alone tonight
this one definitely gives me chills
It's a creepypasta.
It’s fake but god it’s scary as fuck. I was clutching my childhood stuffy like a baby in my bed, under a blanket. So good!
This is one of the saddest but sweetest things I’ve ever heard i hope that girl feels accepted now and i hope your aunt is going ok
That's beautiful
they basically adopted eachother :,)
This is so bittersweet. Hope the ghost of the girl is at ease, and she can finish her path so she can rest in peace.
I wonder if any of us have seen a person in public we thought was a random person but they were actually ghosts 👀😭
I started wondering that too lol creepy
Last tuesday I was at work
And a lady walked in with a kid
The kid kept hiding behind her and occasionally would glance at me and giggle, I commented that the kid was cute and she looked around and said what kid
When I look back down
There was no kid
The restaurant was empty at the moment and my coworkers were in the kitchen
I have had other weird events but this one is recent and just stuck in my head
I’ve always thought about it that way like “do I only see this person once and never again because they’re fake?”
Just. Poof.
Was just thinking the same thing lol
omg tho at 1:28:20 the timer to my microwave had gone off and IMMEDIATELY alejandra was like “what was that?! did you just hear a noise?!” and that scared me more than any of these stories did 😂😂
Okay but there really was a noise in the mic tho I heard it and I'm the only one awake in the house right now!!! Scary podcast!!!
@@HDGamingPlus oh gosh that’s freaky!!! i was only listening with one airpod in so either that or the microwave meant i couldn’t hear it 😱 fingers crossed it was just morgan’s elephant neighbors!! 😂

Wow that is insane but also heartwarming. Like your causin had to go protect them. Thanks for sharing

You used to be able to tag yourself in Facebook pictures years ago, the dead girlfriend story gives me complete chills
The Nathan and Emily story literally had me shook. I got full chills to my entire body including my face.
It is a true story.
THIS!!!!!!!
This house reminds me of that movie rise red. That movie petrified me as a kid.
Thank you I was so disappointed they left out the reason 😂

Spiriting away is from Japanese folklore, culture and referenced in a lot of Japanese pop culture. It means for one to mysterious vanish or die after angering the gods.
A bit of a different meaning than OPs story, but essentially the same concept of a spirit trying to bring you with them to the spirit realm.
I'm sure most people have seen Studio Ghiblis film called Spirited Away, which illustrates Chihiro being taken from reality to the spirit realm.
I adore that movie
I love Spirited Away ❤️ I love all Studio Ghibli's films, my all time favorite being Ponyo. All Studio Ghibli works are extremely beautiful, such talented film makers.

I’m always listening to UA-camrs like MrCreepPasta, CreepsMcPasta, MrCreeps, etc. They will routinely read stories from this subreddit and always they do such a phenomenal job bringing the stories to life.
I will never not love how Morgan is terrible with sayings. Beat me around the bush. Lol she is precious and adorable. Ily guys.
lmao noticed this too. she said eggs in a row...i think its eggs in a basket or ducks in a row.
Idk if y’all will see this but as a person that’s been on no sleep since I was in high school, those rules have always been the rules, more or less, you’re supposed to go into every story with the thought of this is real, even if it’s not. It’s an amazing and horrifying sub, that I fully support you reading more of (just be careful, some of them can get very dark)
Additionally, the Facebook one is one of legend I would say in that sub.
That’s what the op was referring to

Just three words :
"I found You."
And a picture attached. The picture was dark and grainy, but I instantly knew what it was. There was no mistaking my wife's eye.
I started typing this out immediately after. I don't know what to do. I'm alone and scared, and I can't help but feel that I'm being watched….”

😢I’m so sorry for your loss. Do whatever you need to for you.
Sorry for your loss. 🥺
Honestly hostels are pretty chill most of the time.
"Grief is love that has nowhere to go" that so lovely 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
@@lexximacon might just be a crazy prank
I was thinking it was a good way to sneak someone into a hotel
I was planning on taking a shower after I listened to this episode but now I’m too scared lol
Same😂
Same!!😂😭
The Nathan and Emily Reddit story was so fucking scary!!! I got a lot of chills!!!
i heard the screech too, and then rewatched multiple times and it was neither of you.... it's very faint, but i can hear it with my headphones. it happened again right before alejandra said "i just heard something in my headphones" 👀
Oh Jesus. Time to move
I heard both noises too! 🥴🥴🥴
Yup heard it too! I was looking for a comment that confirmed it
Alejandra’s comment on love and grief reminded me of the quote from WandaVision, “What is love, if not grief persevering?”. Love it 🥺
Finally, a ghostly and paranormal episode! More of this, please!
My fave too! 😊
Petition to have scary stories throughout the year and not just around Halloween!!
THISSS. i'd love that!!!
✨️SPOOKY SEASON✨️
there’s no surprise that Alejandra is very intuitive. As a Latina myself, it’s literally in our blood xD
@@brainfluidZ that is true, but with some it comes naturally
@@brainfluidZ why did you respond this way? /gen
Yes! My sisters, mom, and I all have premonition dreams. We are latinas as well so it’s def in our blood!

PLEASE READ "My romantic cabin getaway with my fiancee isn't exactly going as planned" from nosleep its SO GOOD and creepy!! :)
Alejandra - I love creative writing.
Also Alejandra -
👁👄👁 wtf
53:05 this story gave me full body goosebumps when you mentioned the phone call and the family possibly trying to take a family member with them 😳
My boyfriend doesnt speak english, so i interpreted from eng to spanish the entire video.
BRO THE TEXT MESSAGES IS SO EERIE I got chills the entire video
I love how this man's mother is still looking after him after she crossed over! Love never leaves a true heart!
Honestly the girlfriend one is really creepy. Actually made me feel unsafe in my own room😂
Same my bf is laying next to me and I’m like omg hold me I’m scared
in regards to alejandra discussing visitation dreams and the feelings surrounding them, i lost my mom in a tragic way 2 years ago and we were super close, i’ve always been a spiritual person and definitely receptive to visitations through dreams and such. about a month after it happened i had a very vivid dream that i strongly believe was her coming to me and letting me know she was okay now and i do remember waking up with an intense feeling of her presence and like a huge weight had been lifted in a way. some of these stories do have a lot of beauty intertwined with the sad or spooky and i think it made for a fun episode with some really good topic points❤
Love u 🖤
I loved my experience in Prague! Now I wish I would’ve done a ghost tour. Next time ❤️
I have experienced the same thing as Alejandra with my grandpa who passed a few years ago! I'm happy I'm not the only person who have those vivid dreams. Each time I swear my grandpa was there- it feels so real. I always wake up drained. I truly think it's real and it's how our loved ones try to visit us.
When my grandpa passed away a few months ago, my mom, sister and I all had dreams of him within the first 3 days of him passing.
Love it when Alejandra is in the episodes!
Ummm I definitely heard that screech noise that Alejandra heard after you guys got done talking about the facebook story. I heard it and then Alejandra said she did too and I'm like wait what

To me it just sound like mouth noise, like breathing in?
The first story I feel like the man’s mother felt the receptionist was the only person who would or could have an interaction with her son to let him know that she’s still with him. That could be why the receptionist was the only one who could see the man’s mother.
So happy that Alejandra is back! I absolutely love when her or Lauren are on! Nothing better than watching besties give their two hot takes!
Yaaaay!!!! So excited, absolutely love the podcast, keep up the great work you guys!!! ❤️❤️
Grief is love that has nowhere to go. I’m bawling. I miss my momma and I love her so so much! But it has nowhere to go. 💔
The girlfriend messages story gave me straight CHILLS!!!!
If you’re getting the same message 3 times,
Or hear the same sound 3 times, etc.
Yes!! I missed Alejandra, so happy she’s here and so excited for the first spooky episode of the season
"These stories are from our viewers so I believe all of them" - that's the perfect way to summarise why people believe in ghosts. And, as someone who once was considering pursuing career in academia in physics, all that talk about "energies" made me cry.
Lol 😆 yeah, glad I’m not the only non believer
I listen to you to fall asleep to but now it's midnight and I'm WIDE AWAKE and shining my flashlight on in my room lol😂
@@RealBradMiller Thanks for the correction. I knew I had heard something about it, but couldn't find it to verify. :)

I took a tour there! It was cool but I kinda expected more out of it… still an interesting place and story though!
1000% my favourite episode so far! Please can we have more of these ❤️
Yessss spooky. I always look forward to these videos every week!! 😁😁😁🥰
i heard it to. I rolled it back 4 times and heard the screech every time
You had me on the edge of my chair with all these stories! Loved the episode
that first story is so sweet, she was joining them on vacation!
The first three where ok but THE LAST TWO WHERE SO SPOOKY please make a part two of just from no sleep
Great, just listened to the dead girlfriend story and now I’m scared to go in my home by myself. YOU TWO DID THIS TO ME AND I LOVE IT 🤣🥲
i freakin love alejandra’s facial expressions while morgan reads the stories
I’ve been patiently waiting for ghost stories I love them so much!
I loooovveeed this! It takes so much to creep me out/unsettle me and this definitely did. I'm so excited, for each spooky episode!
I was more spooked every time Alejandra said "NO,STOP.." it gave me anxiety 😭
I record my grandparents talking, 2022 one of them was diagnosed with cancer and I just felt like I needed to cherish their stories :,)
