I was about to buy that minc pen so I'm glad you've shown us the difference. I was wanting to try foiling but on my leather items and I did buy some pretty foil but then had to try and work out how to get it to stay on the leather & the glue I have seems to do a great job, so I'm going to also give this pen a go. If you buy more foil, which brand would you go for first or do you determine it buy the colour finish your wanting (I'm a sucker for colour over brand)
So far, the foil I like the best is the DecoFoil which I showed in this video. Minc foil is pretty good too though. I'm more guided by colour and finish than by brand, but I do enjoy trying different brands.
Hey Lauren. This is a very very old laminator, but this one from Officeworks is pretty close to it: www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/j-burrows-a4-home-laminator-jba4lam
Hello. Do not need a laminator. BUT you must wait the glue "dry" ( it becomes sticky) then you put the foil. You must wait the glue become sticky then you put the foil. It is a glue, you do not need a laminator, but you must wait at least 30 sec.
@@gerganamiladinovahandmade689 Hiii! I believe yes, and no. Haha Yes, you can used it, but it would look perfect compare normal paper? Probably no, depends on the effect that you want, the paper glue absortion and paper texture. I have not used this brand's glue, I have used similar like Kuretake 2 way glue, Sakura ( I don't remember the name) and Tombow glue (it is white liquid glue), all these glue have the same efect, permanent- reposicionable. With texture paper it won't be perfect foil, you must press the foil harder, and I recommed a 2 way glue with a pen nib (not markers nibs), those pens are more juice and this way the glue will cover the paper' spaces (texture), if the texture is too much probably won't look good. BUT I believe the must important it is paper glue absortion, if it is too fast, the foil won't look good. In my personal opinion, I love this kind of pens 🥰, I used them a lot with foil. You must buy at least one.
This type of glue do not need or work with a laminator, the pen glue is similar to zig Kuretake 2 Way. The quality of the result depend on the paper. You must wait 30 sec and wait the glue becomes sticky and then you sticky the foil. If you put the foil before the glue becomes sticky, it won't work.
Thanks so much for this guide, I purchased a deco foil pen and not expecting much but this has helped see the results
Glad it was helpful! Thanks Bela!
This is amazing!! I can't wait to see all the projects you use this in!!
Project coming very very soon, but more coming soon too!

Ok I'm in now! That is so simple I know I would use it. I haven't gone for the minc machine or anything so far, but this is it.
I think this is it... simplest version to get a bit of foil on. It's not 100% foolproof, but it is buildable.
Great video. Love that pen and will def buy it now.
It's very good. Stay tuned for another glue pen I've found with a much finer point!! :)
Hi, have you tried this pen on satin band/ribbon?
Do you have a link to the laminator you used in this video?

is it required to laminate? or it also works without laminator?
I've only ever had this work with a laminator.. it needs the heat to transfer.

@@marllorylopez7137 hello , can i use this pen and foil on textile?

This pen was definitely a waste of time for me. It didn't work at all. There are lots of much better ways to add foil to projects now :)
@@PlumMashable I need a video showing those ideas 💃💃💃

Can you use it on Tissue paper?
I haven't tried at Amna, but I'm sure you could!
This is no cut gold foil?
Hi there. Not quite sure what you mean by no cut? Happy to help you out though if you need more information!
Too much talking 🥱
