Good job. I really enjoy your ship tours, especially on ships in the P&O fleet since cruisers from the States don’t have easy access to them. Can’t wait for another one.

Dear Fraser, I believe that the ship is one of the older ships in their fleet. That being said, it is both my husband's and my favorite ship of their fleet. Sure, it sometimes shows its age but it has a warmth and a patina to it that can only come with each. I am not sure but I believe it is or it was at least on our cruise an adults only ship and that made it enjoyable. I also felt that it hosted a more up market British crowd than the rest of the ships of their fleet ,which crowds on the other ships we found to be a rowdy, very British Friday night drunken at the pub kind of an atmosphere. That wasn’t the case on the ship. We had a lovely cabin and the cabinet attendant and service were rdally excellent. It reminded us of our time on the Fred Olsen cruises. Thank you very much for sharing this video. Lulu
Hey! You’re right - it’s the oldest in the fleet, and also adults only! I often think the older P&O ships attract a different crowd, but this is also my experience with other cruise lines too. For example, the crowd on Rhapsody of the Seas was very different to what I found on Symphony of the Seas. Super interesting, isn’t it?
What an interesting video and comments , no kids and just under 2000 passengers it sounds our sort of size . Will have a better look at the ship in future . We have been on a Fred Olsen cruise ship and Azamara , both perfect passenger ratio too .
Hey! Yeah, it’s a very European cruise line thing to charge for ice cream - I always find it free on the american ships, but rarely over in Europe 😔 Thanks for watching!
I have never been on Aurora, tho Iona recently, but Oceana, Oriana, Ventura, Azura & Arcadia more than 10 years ago and enjoyed them then. So I wonder if going on Aurora now would still be as nice compared to Virtuosa, Grandiosa, Seaside and Iona in recent years ? What do you think Fraser?
Hmm, good question! I think Aurora etc do offer a very different product to the modern mega ships. I do really enjoy them, but the whole experience is so so different. You need to be clear that you’re leaving all of the ‘bells and whistles’ behind, but she’s a lovely little ship that can move you around - a thumbs up from me!
@FraserAtSea The aft pool and prom deck are lovely Fraser, we were really impressed by Seaside's aft and open decks, too. So will need to keep an eye on Aurora to be sure. Old ships next anyway, Disco 2 January and Indy OTS in the autumn of 25.
@ yeah, I really adore an old ship that has good outdoor space. So many of the new ‘fancy’ ships seem to be trying to help people forget they’re ‘at sea’, which baffles me 😂 Thanks a lot for your continued support, Stephen!
@FraserAtSea You're right, Fraser, but economy of scale seems to be winning the argument for the mass market cruiselines at present. Ultra luxury lines and their small ships are beyond our means, I'm afraid. 🙃

I’m going on aurora in august I haven’t been on an adults only cruise before,I like how old fashion she looks 😻
Ahh, it’s really nice being adult focussed - I really liked that aspect of it! I’ve got more content coming from this ship - stay tuned!! 😊

This was our first cruise ship. We enjoyed Aurora
Ahh, nice! She’s a lovely little ship!
Going on Aurora in April, so happy for this video. Thanks Fraser.

Got the last 3 minutes. 😂 Now I can start at the beginning. 😊
Ahh, hope you enjoyed!!
may have to get a short cruise booked on her in the summer
Ahh, I’d recommend it to be honest. If you got good weather with that back terrace section, it would be awesome!
@@FraserAtSea we all should arrange a christmas markets cruise as a patreon group cruise that would be epic!
@ great idea! Maybe 2025?! 🤞🏼
@ sounds good to me if not new year in hamburg sounds amazing to!
Looking forward to this one Fraser as going on Aurora in March for a 12 now get cruise to Norway.
Ahh, perfect timing for this then! That’ll be a great route too! Thanks for staying tuned 😊
The ship looks really nice, but I think it's a bit much to charge extra for ice-cream!

Fraser where has the Anchor gone?
Ha, don't worry - I'm sure it hasn't fallen off the ship! Hope you're both good! :)
