Love your videos sir and your personality. I am in the process of replacing a bent front rim on my Harley Dyna. I am using the stock hub and reusing the spokes and nipples. However my spokes have 2 different types. The outer spokes have a shorter 90° bend and the lowers have a longer 90° bend. This is my first wheel bebuild so I have to figure out whether to start with the uppers or the lowers. I guess I will figure it out when I start the assembly tomorrow. I have learned a lot watching your videos so I'm hoping for the best. Thanks again for your help sir. See ya on the road !
Thanks Mike! Another great video. It’s not so much that the doing each one is boring. the doing each one. It’s the knowledge that you impart during the operation. The back story. The pit falls. The reasoning.step by step. If we can find the right ‘LEGO’. Parts we can build it! Stay safe and well.
As always, nice work and a great video. Thanks for sharing! A side note to re-purpose an old (or new I guess) spoke into an excellent kickstand spring hook. Drill a spoke nipple sized hole in a 4" long x 1/2" round piece of solid metal (or something similar). Push the spoke through, put the nipple on with thread locker. You can pull to your heart's content and it won't break or slip out of the spring.

I've noticed this in all your videos. Very helpful when I do a job for the very first time. Looking forward to the trueing video.
Thank You. Next video tomorrow (truing).
Again...great video...very entertaining and informative...love being able to watch over your shoulder (so to speak) and see you do these wonderful works of art.......the old saying.."one who works with his hands is a laborer...one who works with hands and head is a craftsman....one who works with his hands ,head, and heart....is an artist".....thank you again Mike for bringing these videos to us
That's beautiful. Thank you for the compliment and thank you for the philosophy.
Hello Mike ,You make it look SSSOOOOOO Simple I enjoy all Your Videos!!! Great work!!!
Thank You
Starting my spokes on my 04 Dyna. Thanks for showing me how!
Glad to help
Thanks for making the video Mike, I really enjoyed watching you lace that wheel…✌🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
I remember doing this a dozen times with my pedal bike as a kid 🤗
Cool. You must be a "natural."
Thanks Mike, been wanting to redo my wheels now I have my road map!
Cool. Enjoy it.
A lost art..... thanks again for yet another great video!
Thank You. But, now everyone knows, so it isn't lost any more.
@@pacificmike9501 LOL.....true......ya got me there.
Great video, brings back memories! Laced my wheels a long time ago, and your lacing job brought back a smile.
Great to hear!
Very informative. Thank you, About the fourth spoke in I'd have anti-seize silver fingers/ rags/ spokes/ rims and probably my shirt.
Thank You. Oh, you would not.
Section 2 of your service manual explains it perfectly. Try Tedd Cycle (V-Twin) for the proper HD Service manual.
Love watching you work!
Thank you!
Thank you for that video! You made it look easy. That happens to be one of my next to do projects. Stay safe and see you out on the road!
Thanks, you too!
Mike....all I have to do is look at a container of Never Seize and it is all over my hands and clothes.😆
I'll see if we can order it in a flavored version.
Thank You. That was fun.
Mike: nobody wants to see me put 40 spokes in this rim.
Me: uhh,I do..
Okay!
Me too!
Watching you from Changchun China.
Greetings!
Nice wheel Mike, a relaxing body to develop the Zen of the ride.
It's gonna be a nice ride. Thank You.
Very nice! I really enjoy watching your videos Mike 👍
Glad you like them!
hello mike , another awesome video tutorial on spoke wheel looks easy . thanks
Thank You.
The thought of having to lace a wheel always filled me with loathing, until I watched this, doesn't look so bad now
Cool. Thank You.
We do show how to install a kickstand spring.
@@pacificmike9501 Ha! I kinda knew that was coming. Yes sir, I watched that one a while back. It was great to see someone show the correct way for that style stand. I find myself working on many different makes and models and on some I just have to use the hook. Take care and keep the great content coming!
