Nice little city, has a good location quick access to Liverpool and Manchester also airports. Good video at the end the guitar 🎸 player was phenomenal 😂👍🏻
I was born in Warrington but have lived in Australia most of my life I have been back twice and would love to visit again ♥️ I still have some family there 👍 watching this Video has made me more wanting to visit again I do recognise the street names but that's all it's changed so much and is still beautiful to me thank you for sharing 😊👍
I am originally from very near Warrington and lived there until I was 19. I always tell people I am from Warrington. However, I never really went to Warrington town centre in my youth, I used to go to Wigan as my father was from there. I occasionally went out in Warrington as a teenager, including a terrible nightclub called Mr Smiths - but it was only a handful of times. To be honest, I'm shocked at how nice the place is. They have done what all local Councils should do is PLANT TREES to break up the concrete facades and create pleasant spaces. However, there are also some beautiful old building there, I never knew existed. This has been a real eye opener for me. It makes me feel proud to be from there now instead of embarrassed.
and that's what counts :) nice comment, from the heart, thank you very much, because even though it's a weak movie, it aroused emotions and that's what counts. Once again, many thanks for the comment
At about 9:15 in the video, you come within inches of walking over the very spot where one of the bombs was detonated in the 1993 Warrington bombings. The street you are walking down there is Bridge Street. The memorial of the two kids that you stop to look at is for Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball, two children who were killed on Bridge Street in the bombings. The building with the closed down shop just off camera to your immediate left at 9:15 with the bench directly in front is the front entrance to what was Boots the chemist back then. More or less where that bench is sat right in front of the doors to the building now, there used to be a metal bin stood there. It was in that bin that one of the bombs was planted.
It's a very sad story and certainly a very important one for the town of Warrington. Thanks for the info, I filmed this monument but I didn't think about why it was there. Thank you very much for the information, I will definitely remember it
I am originally from nearby Warrington and left in the late 90s. I was shocked at how much better it looks now compared to then. The local Council have done a good job.
Byłam w Warrington, piękne mam wspomnienia, min. z kościoła katolickiego, w którym nie pobiera się opłat za sakramenty. Dzięki Jarku za film. Pozdrawiam serdecznie🤗
Good old warrington. Does anyone remember the ground working company called roots and shoots that put these flowers all over the town centre and especially the town hall. No, I didn't think so.
The last census for Warrington was 212 thousand people, I remember in the 70,s it was just over 70 thousand people. We became a Newtown in the 70s but for me Warrington is just big enough as it is now

I was born in Warrington. I had my first birthday on the SS Argentina, landing in New York with my mother. We joined my dad in Rotan, Texas where I lived through high school. The weather and culture of a small west Texas town was a huge adjustment for my mother. But, the people were welcoming and she made many friends and became a TEXAN, living there for the next 50 years. She loved her west Texas cowboys, as she called me, my brother and our friends.
Who cleared all the litter you usually walk thru. Warrington is a town not a city. It is not my choice for shopping. Nothing there has Primark tho. I live next town along. In its hey day Warrington was great.but like every where else sadly nothing there.
I don't know Warrington, I was there for the first time. It's a small town, but it has the status of a city. I really liked the part with the old PUB, the rest.....a city like a city (Primark isn't the most important thing to me)
Nice and clean city centre, fair enough.

It was also the day before Mother's day so the town was very crowded with people buying gifts for their mothers. A dreadful day.
It looks like a nice town to visit, the town centre looks nice and fresh. I always prefer pedestrian areas and outdoor eating. Nice informative video.
thanks to visit my friend

I'm surprised it's not a city its quite large much bigger than Wrexham which is now city status.
Warrington is the subject of the old joke about winning first prize in a competition and it's a week's holiday there. Second prize is two weeks
and that's interesting, I haven't heard it (well, how was I supposed to hear it) but it's an English joke :):)
Warrington is not a city
Sad to see what a monochrome characterless place my home town (not city) has become. And the busker needs moving on too.
I go to Warrington next weekend to recording Christmas Market :)
It's not a city it a town and its called a town center
Warrington goes bankrupt,
I don't know
warrington is a Town not a city
:):)
Warrington nothing special
