Awesome video! If you go to Sample Edit, you can hit the arrow on the bottom right of the screen to go to another page where you can hit a 'Detect Key' button, that way you don't have to put the bounced sample on a pad.
Sometimes I EQ but I mostly use filters within the MPC and level tracks out as I go. Then if I'm going to record my arrangement live I will use the track mutes and record live to Ableton. Then master in Ableton.
Thanks! I usually mix my tracks on the MPC and record a live jam straight to Ableton. Sometimes I will stem my parts out from the MPC and mix and master in Ableton. But the mastering always happens after in Ableton Live. Thank for the suggestion too! I am going to work on a video and show my process for mixing on the MPC.
Do you know if you can record into FL studio like you say you do with Ableton? Doing a live performance with the pad mutes would be cool to record straight into my DAW
coo vid. enjoyed the music, and watching you work. most cameras (that are not specifically a video camera) like phones and digital photo cameras can only record about 29min or so of video before stopping. otherwise they would be classified as a "video camera" and i think that would affect tariffs applied. at one point i knew the reason, but i can't really remember anymore. but when making videos it's something to mindful of. keep up the good work.
120-125 typically sometimes slower when I wanna go more downtempo. I use TC most of the time but sometimes I turn it off for things other then the kick
So best advice is to have the tc on only when using the kicks? or .. Because I experienced using it basically for certain sounds but like hats, or anyting like that, i turn it off. It just varies I guess. But any pointers is always appreciated major.@@sublevelmusic
It really depends on what you're going for when it comes to the groove. If you want a more loose human feel then leave TC off for hats, claps, perks etc and keep the kick locked in. You can always nudge the midi notes around in the editor after to fit.@@mikea.8640
This is so great. Watching you experiment and explore and the narration to explain your thoughts... really insightful thanks!
@@thedoble thanks! Glad you enjoyed this video. I hope to upload load more tutorial type stuff in the near future.

You eq within the Mpc most the time then master in Ableton is that what it is? I know you said you track mute sometimes and record in.

Cool man tnx
Great tutorial! Do you master your tracks in the mpc or the computer?
It would be good to see you do a video on your mixing and mastering.
