Thanks bro! glad you dig the vibe. Your channel is dope! When I first got my MPC Live 2 - it was your beginners video on the Live 2 that got me started and i've been a subscriber and watching your videos ever since. You make some dope tracks to man!
Let me know what’s confusing you about the MPC one and if it’s something I’m well versed in maybe I can put together some videos for you and my subscribers.
one suggestion is to put a preview of the finished product at the start of the video, and maybe some timestamps for different parts (getting started, adding bass, etc). Cheers
@@AnthonyBecker9 Thanks for the suggestions man. I appreciate the feedback as I am looking to start putting out more videos like this one. Still very much in the beginner phase when it comes to making videos. 🤜
Nice jam. Could you do one on an MPC2000xl? Maxed out with FX card. Very interested to if it sounded any better. On like, the original machine. Or was just a more difficult work flow.
Thanks! I don’t have an 2000 and have never used one but I’m guessing if you come from the newer MPCs you would probably find the workflow limiting and harder on the older machines. In some cases that can be a good thing too. There are also some sound comparison videos here on UA-cam you can check out.
@@sublevelmusic I was thinking mostly about how the 2000xl would swing differently from the Live, and if the lower bit rates added nice "grit" or just sounded worse.
Dude, this is so fuckin dope. I know you said in the description that this isn’t coming out but have you got any plans at all for a release???? Would love to put this on my USB!!
Thanks man! I appreciate it. I'm going to go back to this and possibly other jams I uploaded here and try to put some of this stuff out as releases. Be sure to follow me on Bandcamp and IG. I post all my releases there 😎
Very nice. I bought an MPC X and sold it after a couple of months. This MPC environment is horrible. Just awful. But great to see others doing some real stuff on these. Great work pal! 👏 👏
I don't think there's a way to do that on the MPC. I was wondering the same thing when I just got the Live 2 and it was driving me crazy. Still does! Tbh this is my first MPC so maybe there's a way to do it but from what Ive read on forums most users are saying there isn't yet which sucks. Especially if you want to finish songs inside the mpc and want to remain organized. It is however forcing me to think things through a bit more while im building a track on the mpc.
I think you can ‘Export Pattern’, from pen icon of the track. Not entirely sure how you get it back in to your desired track, I’m an MPC newbie too! ✌🏼 Maybe ‘browse’ and then assign to a track...? Once the mid notes have been assigned to your chosen track, You should then be able to set the existing midi program to your desired track also. Keep us posted 👍🏼
Yes, you can do this with the copy function. You could also copy the midi notes and paste them to another track, you have to be in the midi grid for this select notes and hold shift then choose copy. Theres also copy events function which does the same thing, this function also allows u to select bars that you want to copy and copy tracks betweeb sequences. All of these functions execpt the midi grid thing are in the main page under the pen icon. Sequence, track and program all have their own corresponding pen icon which allows for a variety of things that can be done on them such as copy for example.
The live 2 I learned from the odd tutorial and from messing with it. You’re right most are geared towards hip hop. I came from using Push2 so there was a bit of a learning curve and given the live 2 is my first MPC but it’s pretty straight forward once you understand it. As for learning house music production, that came from many places. Listening to tracks I like, watching videos, reading about how tracks were made back in the 90s and studying vintage gear, their sounds and their limitations etc was a big one too. Feel free to let me know what sort of things you’re stuck with and maybe I can put together some tutorials for you.
Still fire in 2022!

Love the Barbara Tucker sample ;)
This is great, man. I have an MPC One that is currently confusing the hell out of me, but I'll be patient!
Thanks man ! When I started using the Live it was also a bit confusing and took some getting used to but now I really enjoy it.
I’ve had mine for 2 years spent and only started loving it 4 days ago, it seriously takes a minute but it’ll come lol

Awesome man! Any chance you could describe the Time correction settings used here??
Thanks man! If I remember correctly I think it was a 66% swing with 100% strength

is it possible to move a midi track from one position to another? example: if I have a synth on track 6, can I move it to 2?

I believe you can route midi to another track, but you'll need to look it up

How did you learn all this because I’m getting the live 2 and finding tutorials on house is hard. Most people do hip hop on these

Check out Ricky Tinez videos. Not tutorial per say but it gives you an idea once you learn the mpc or other gear you have
@@J-Hz his videos are great. I get a ton of inspiration from them
So sick! Where do you have those beautiful samples from?
Thanks ! I sample a lot from vinyl so most if not all those hits and chops were from records
SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD FUCK ❤❤❤❤❤
Kick a$$
Thanks !
this is nasty work
Ahhhh shit yawwwwww
