Kevie Babie one of the biggest faults for me of Return of the Jedi is making Leia’s Skywalker lineage feel like an afterthought. One of the best things the sequels did was finally flesh out that aspect of her

@@NeoShineLP yes coulda had jacen who's actually ben solo and his twinnie jaina solo be played by billie Lourd in the movie but they probably put rey as jaina solos character from the comic. They had source material and didnt use it right for episode 7 to 9 and fucked the story all up when they could used the comic book source material but it was probably Kathleen Kennedy fault and disney heads fucking the script all up and didnt let the writers or forced them to not use the comic source material or switched it all around making it seem make no sense.
If we’re gonna have leia series on Disney+ I think Billie should have a bigger role to play her, she reminds me a lot about her mom/leia, I feel she is gifted

What they did with Leia in the movie is magical. Thanks for Billie, JJ and everybody on the set for perfectly honoring a truly stellar legacy. I've seen the movie 12 times, cried like a little girl every time and I'm 31.

@Joel Weber I don't know i found the rise of Skywalker pretty boring and messy, coming from a guy who really liked the force Awakens and the last jedi. I even thougt the prequels were very good.
@Joel Weber I respect your opinion but nothing made sense. So much time had passed and the plot points with Rey didn't make sense. They were going in this direction but then that didn't happen. Rian were atleast changing the last jedi in a good way ( fun plot twists ). Palpatine makes no sense and they go in no direction with him. They kill Chewie and c3po for us to cry but they also bring them back. Leia was just there and then they killed her for manipulation.

@@whitnale018 You realize that this film retcons The Last Jedi. The Last Jedi: Rian makes a bold move to kill snoke = In ep 9 they can explore a Star Wars villain without a master, but: Episode 9: Palpatine is back, so it's basiclly the same as ep 6.

I haven't seen the Rise of Skywalker yet but I want to..and this documentary looks really good..I had thought after they did that movie about Han Solo when he was younger if maybe they would do films about Luke and Leia when they were younger(maybe they still will) and Billie Lourd would be the only person that could play a young Leia because she looks so much like her mom,they are both beautiful..I hope they did a good job honoring Carrie Fisher in this last film,she deserves to be honored 😊

I'd not seen the resemblence until this clip when Carrie's face was right there for a moment. And I absolutely loved the scene they showed being filmed here. Really believe the Skywalker twins are incredibly underrated as a box office draw. Especially Hamill as Luke. It's just my opinion but I do believe the massive amounts of money both the original movies and The Force Awakens made were because of the audience infatuation with them (in part driven by Williams soundtrack).
They could make a movie or series about Leia that goes from her childhood to her Jedi training and the birth of Ben Solo
@@KNG-fm1kj That would be pretty awesome. When I watched Billie talking about Carrie I was also thinking about film to fill the gap between Return of the Jedi and The force Awakens.

It's really amazing what they managed to accomplish with Leia's character in this movie. They definitely did the character justice with the resources they had. Truly a testament to the magic of movie-making. Star Wars for ever! 🙋🏻♂️

My thoughts exactly! If they could write a Ben Solo character, then why could they not have thought of her being Lea's daughter in the movie as well? She didn't needed to be focused on as such in this new trilogy, but then there could be stories to be told in future movies with her (as you say) being a "action figure" character! A missed oppotunety in every way me thinks :)

0:50 i knew something was off with what i could see of the Tantive IV on the ground.. they built her way too small.. its suposed to be 150m long.. here it doesnt look much longer than a 747 wich puts her at 70-80m long .. 100 at most so this is 1/2 - 2/3 scale
