It is interesting to see how the Acura MDX’s price stacks up against the Audi Q7, Genesis GV80, BMW X5, Lexus RX350, Mercedes GLE350, Infiniti QX60, Honda Pilot Elite, and Toyota Highlander Platinum.
Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for the brand name the palisade would destroy all of these with ease .. only thing it’s lacking is performance and a good badge
@@Luisestrada1992 I am being honest. The Palasaides can’t hold the Acuras jock strap. The base model MDX has the amenities of the top of the line model and yes the performance and reliability are most important and the MDX is better in those regards. The palisades isn’t a luxury vehicle period.

Mine has been perfectly reliable over 27,000 miles. The removable middle seat is also great and the ELS sound system is excellent. It also handles like a much smaller car. The OEM tires are too noisy in my opinion and they do overdo it with the piano black but it has handled family duty really well and is more practical than the competition. Love that they use a regular V6 for reliability. May not have great low-end torque but it is very smooth and sounds really nice. Gas mileage isn't great. The reported EPA gas mileage is terrible for a vehicle in 2023. 🤦🏻♂️ it is not difficult to get a solid 30mpg highway for a vehicle this size. Taking into account that it has a 10 speed transmission, I’m surprised by the weak gas mileage. 😔😖 It’s a shame, because it would be a top contender if it got AT LEAST 30mpg

I love my 2016 RDX. It has 115000 km. The new 2023 is good for a 4cy it drives well, it's fun and all. But when you get in a Lexus 350 RX F sport 3 2021 for the same price, it's another level. I was at several dealers today looking for a 2023 MDX A-spec. I went for the test drive. Coming from a 2011 MdX, i have to be honest. 4th generation looks good, the interior looks like crap, piano black is awful, the seats are not as cushioned as my current 2nd generation MDX. Plus, i drove a managers special, which is actually a loaner car. The car only had 788 miles, the seats were destroyed, the combination of leather and suede made the seats look worn out and the textures of the suede were wrinkled and the quality of the leather did not made me think the material could last 5 or more years. The leather in my 2011, looks amazing and its thicker, better quality all together. The dark color rims, had lots of scratches, again the car only had 788 miles, so imagine at 10k miles. The chips on the rims had peeled off the black out tint, would much rather have the advance rims since they are if better quality. Frankly, the quality of the A-spec, does not make me want to spend $55k. The advance model, should have wowed me, instead it disappointed me, too many plastics, totally useless features such as HUD, the dynamic mode feature, should be relabel “placebo mode”. The whole car, handled like an old wobbling couch, nothing says performant about this MDX. I am planning on keeping my current MDX. I am now going to schedule a BMW X5.
Growing up in the 60s, I heard stories about people tripping out on drugs. Seeing this interior mishmash of shapes, colors, textures, knobs, handles, doodads and wahoos, it gives me a good idea of what those people are doing now: they're designers for Acura.
We absolutely love our MDX!!! I am coming from owning BMWs and Audis, but decided now for something that will be reliable for the years to come.

The Kia Rio in Canada has a standard heating steering wheel, can’t believe Acura still requires you get the advance.
Canadian models get heated steering wheel and remote start on all trims
All of Canada gets very cold while only parts of the US do. It’s doesn’t make as much sense to make it standard in the states
@@whosurdaddy2720 well I feel this way since I’m in that cold part!! 😆
You can buy the wheel and install it.
Very nice car
what i didn't like about this one , is the over-sensitive touch control . it really makes you nervous .
I’ve been with Acura 10+ years , $61k and no Remote start on a Aspec is kinda disappointing for 2023
I like all in MDX except no touch screen , they might have given both touch pad and touch screen.
wow a 3 row electric crossover Acura I don't think I have seen such in Honda/Acura but anyway great review and how do you stars keep getting your hands on up to date vehicles I'll love to know please
Thank you! We just pay very very close attention to manufacturer and dealer websites so we are ready for them
I was at several dealers today looking for a 2023 MDX A-spec.
