- I review the GTO related book, ‘Poker’s 1%’ by Ed Miller. I don’t necessarily recommend the book to my audience, but there are plenty of good strategy takeaways I got from it.

This 1% stuff is unapplicable concretely. Since 85 % of the players at least has a hand's strength oriented philosophy and underbluff massively, keeping a 70% call frequency is a major leak in most poker game.
I would agree with you, Chess
I think he's misunderstanding this book. I read it and he's outlining key components of minimum defense frequency and how crucial frequencies are. He is NOT saying that's all there is to poker. It's a baseline to START from. But then you adjust per player type, game type, board texture, # of villains in the hand, etc. But I can assure you at lower stakes almost everyone folds too easily and bluffs too infrequently. I've bet $10 on the river into a $100 pot and gotten folds more times than I can count with literally any two cards. They could call me 70% of the time and I'm still printing money (they need to call 91% of the time).
I have to agree with this quote 100% of the time lmao only poker players say that :D
Cool beans
Perfect video!
Thanks, Buddy.
@@SmartPokerStudy ed should release 1% gto solver edition
Yeah, but I'm not sure how much he's into poker nowadays. Seems to be more into sports gambling.
