Nice looking steam locomotive. Enjoyed the ProroSound 3.0. great train action. Thanks for sharing your J Class steam locomotive. Greetings Nick from New Jersey
What a spectacular model of the N&W j class locomotive, these j class engines have a sleek and interesting appearance and it's a shame that these are no longer available for purchase at the hobby stores. Hopefully I will be able to find one of these j class models in the future, possibly at a model train show somewhere.
The Norfolk & Western J Class streamlined steam locomotives that pullled Norfolk & Westerns Passenger trains and the Southern Pacific GS-4 Streamlined locomotives are the most beautiful of all the streamlined steam locomotives that run. Norfolk & Western’s J Class number 611 and the Southern Pacific Daylight streamlined GS-4 number X4449 still run and pull excursions today.
New to model trains... can you turn the sound off if you want to? Like if you wanted a train to continually run on a high shelf around the room and you didn’t want to hear the chuffing for long periods of time?
So does this model actually operate on 18” radius corners? I have an HO Bachman Spectrum J Class model and it cant take anything less than 22” radius corners.
Yeah, I’m planning on running on it on 26” radius curves. The tightest curve on my layout will be 22” radius but I’ll probably run this engine on the outside loop which will have 26” radius curves. I’m either going to unscrew the drawbar on the tender and move it further back, or drill holes further back and cut off the excess. If I drill it I will also have to file away some of the tender body under the drawbar.

Do you guys have that N&W tool car for sale separately as well?
How about those SHINY CHROME PILOT WHEELS! "Intricate details" at their best...!

Hi Aaron, depending what remote you will be using yes you can turn them off on most engines.
Nice!
Nice. Has a really loud smoke unit tho

MTH website says "Operates On 18" Radius Curves "
When will this be back online so I can order one
Isaac Griffith I second this. It was available a few days ago now gone? Is it because of it being in Strasburg?
Sold out :( Not till another run
@@TrainWorldTV how long until next run
Yooooo!!!!!!
Any way to shorten the tender gap?
Ehh usually they dont make it closer so they can make the turns. You might be able to modify it but you would have to be careful with the radius curve
