- Dak Prescott is most likely not starting for the Dallas Cowboys against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday as he still is recovering from surgery on his right thumb. He got clearance to practice on Wednesday, but he was only throwing with his left hand in front of the media. Cooper Rush is 4-0 since stepping in as the Cowboys starter. The fact is, the play calling for Cooper has been conservative being he is a back up. Take no risks, he was thrown into the fire. If Cooper had more time, he would most certainly open up big. He is far more accurate, he decision making is better and did this as a back up last minute. I found myself always questioning Dak, every other game at minimum. We dont know how good he can be yet, but I no question he will be starting somewhere soon and that team will be very happy.

24+ rushes a game (regardless of yardage), competent coaching, the defense continues what they’ve started, and health. Cowboys win it all.
If they respected Dak and wanted him to truly succeed, they’ll run the ball and help the whole team with committing to it. The formula they’re using now has always been available. They’ve just chosen to be stubborn. Put Dak back in, offense gets better, and now teams are forced to pass, and the defense turns them over.

Skip doesn't seem to understand that all those negative stats with Lamb/Gallup and Schultz will all come up once they have a QB who can actually get them the ball. Yes, they've had some drop issues but they mainly are suffering from ineffective QB play that doesn't get them the ball like they should be getting it. Get Dak back in there and they'll be way better.

Lifetime cowboys fan. I’ll say this, this is the first time I felt relaxed seeing coop play. It’s a different feeling knowing coop isn’t going to turn the ball over and the line isn’t getting a holding call every other play. Dak is the better athlete but I don’t like the turn overs.

You can say what you want about the Cowboys receivers, but I think Gallup is our best receiver. Yes, he had a drop against the Rams, but he's been out for a long time, so I'll let that one go. I just feel Gallup is a playmaker and that sideline catch toe drag was really good. I like Gallup a lot more than CeeDee Lamb.

This is reminiscent of the Giants and Ravens SB teams. Flacco nor Eli were elite, yet they protected the ball and had a run game to compliment an elite defense. Coop’s made the right plays when we have needed them and he’s not turning the ball over. That’s a perfect storm for success. This defense is going to continue to make it tough to score so we don’t need to score 24+
@James Ma yeah I'd have to agree, Eli was lighting up the bad teams and even throwing for close to 300 vs the good ones. Cooper Rush is a poor man's Jimmy G, not Eli or Flacco, those guys had serious cannons for arms, Rush has a noodle arm.

His best single season passer rating was 93.6 in 2015, which wasn't even in the top 10 that season. There was never a regular season where Eli was elite, though he did have two impressive post seasons. Eli could be great in short stretches, but that's it.
ummm Eli in the 2nd super bowl run broke the playoffs yards and completions record with a 9:1 TD/INT ratio, the regular season 4th quarter TD passes record, almost 5000 yards passing in regular season. Scored 102 points in the playoffs, beat 1 seed Green Bay in Lambeau, 2 seed 49ers in San Fran, and then beat 1 seed Patriots in the Super Bowl with an amazing game winning drive late in the game. So keep Eli out your mouth
@@randylynch4330 102 points in 4 playoff games is only 25.5 points per game. Just slightly above average. And the 49ers muffed 3 punts in his game against them. The Giants had absolutely no business winning that game, but the 9ers punt returner gifted them a win.
The Giants defense is why they won that Super Bowl. No team in the playoffs scored more than 20 points on them. Their offense eclipsed 30 points scored in only 1 game. Eli had a great game against the Packers, but was carried for 75% of that playoff run.
He wasn't amazing in the regular season. His team was 9-7 that year. He was 7th in interceptions thrown. The good was equaled by the bad, which is why the Giants were barely above .500.

The reason the third down conversion is low is because when they're ahead, they're calling running plays and usually not picking up the first down. That's not Rush's fault. He has no control over that.

Rush is not the answer, he has been a really good backup QB. Our defense makes the difference. He also isnt making major mistakes.
Maybe Rush will throw for 300+, 3tds.
