How deep do you drive the seal, until it seats? The tool has a shoulder just wondering if theres a specific distance it has to be seated to?
Look at old seal before pulling it out. If u have the correct tool it will install it to proper depth
I dont have the correct tool, just from pictures the tool has a shoulder which made me think its a certain distance and was going to use your method to install the seal.
Does this work for a 2012 f-250 6.7 rear main?
This works on just about any seal. I actually just used same method on an axle seal in a Toyota corolla yesterday. I have a nice screw I keep in my engine tool drawer just for Seals.

Now that just doesn’t make sense. They’re 70 bucks or so and you’re punching it but I don’t have a seal to look at yet. Maybe It will work
