We need these types of videos to keep it real. I think we can all go through phases with our bag buying & wearing. It is ok not to love a bag after you have had it for a while. Our taste & our style can change & evolve as we get older. I love your "fake" bag, it's gorgeous. Just like anything else we own, we can declutter our handbag collection as we see fit. I am currently in this dilemma too, having purchased several bags over last few months and I am wondering what to do with my current bags, we can also use different bags for different seasons too, so we need a variety of bags. Tfs❤

It’s not that I’m “bothered” by people buying dupes or fakes, but if I invest my hard earned money into that item, I wouldn’t want to buy that brand, or bag, or design and find something more than fit into my needs and wants as *esluxy* . And nothing is wrong with that.

Hi Melissa! For me personally, I have learned that I rarely fall out of love with my bags. It can feel overwhelming at times for there’s a lot of them. But the main reason I may not use a bag as often, is because I’m not seeing it. So I forget it’s an option. When I make a bag more accessible to me, I grab it more. Of course I’ll have outliers that I just don’t grab for they serve a particular niche. But I can never bring myself to entertain the thought of selling it at this moment. Maybe that will change in a few years. But there is nothing wrong with that. Great video!

Great video! 🌟 It's always refreshing to hear your honest thoughts about your handbag collection. Downsizing can be tough, but it's inspiring to see you prioritize what truly matters.
Regarding the fake bag, it's understandable to feel conflicted. Maybe consider keeping it as a reminder of your journey and growth in the luxury world. You could also sell it or donate it if it doesn't bring you joy anymore. The most important thing is to do what feels right for you.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Melissa. Totally agree with selling things that you no longer use or like using. I tend to sell things as I go if I really dont like using them. I usually think about it for a long time. Months at least so I dont regret it. I realized a few years ago that I just didn’t gravitate to my contemporary bags so I stopped buying them. The only times I like to use them is for travel so I don’t worry about loss or damage and dont have to be very careful with them in crowds, and if I need to use them in an outdoor setting, again to not have to be careful with them. So I sold or gave away most of them. I only have a couple coach bags and a bunch of Le pliages in different sizes and materials, which I love. I only have a couple LV bags that I don’t use often as they are bigger totes (I’m not a tote girl at all but keep them as occasionally I may need a tote for a day). I do enjoy all my bags but I agree that after having so many it feels less special when we buy another one. Less special than it was when I first started buying luxury bags many many years ago. But I still get a thrill when I get them. It just fades quicker. As for your orange arco bag. Have you considered dyeing it? I know it will cost a bit (I was quoted $400 for a Fendi baguette) but it’s a very expensive bag that you will sell for a lot less than you paid. And you love it otherwise. Basically it would be the cost of a contemporary bag that you would buy and then possibly never use anyway. And There’s nothing wrong with wanting to just use your luxury bags. Are you for sure that the LV is counterfeit? Did you get 2 expert opinions? I’m just curious how that turned out. If they are indeed counterfeit I don’t blame you for not wanting to look at them.
The backpack is really cute. It would come in very handy for travel or day trips. We like to go to the zoo and spend the day walking around. I use a Vera Bradley tote or my Kate Spade backpack. I don’t like to use my expensive bags at the zoo or outdoor activities because I want to set them wherever I need to and not worry. So even if I use those bags 2 or 3 times a year they come in handy and I’m always glad I have them.

Subscribed! I completely understand how you feel. I have a brand new (tag still on) Black shiny leather Givenchy Antigona in size Small that I dont use. It’s in PRISTINE condition and so incredibly beautiful but I also have it in pearl grey and use that one so much more. I have so many other black bags I gravitate towards instead that this one just sits.
I also have a reversible Stella McCartney tote bag with pouch in black that I love to look at but don’t use. Again, so many other black bags I use instead.
Definitely need to sell. I am in a downsize era myself too. ❤️
