I'm so relieved that Gatsby seems to be on the mend for now. Even though our pets can't live forever, every extra day is a gift. I'm loving that the fall vibes are starting in your videos already! 😊
From someone who is obsessed with doing their nails: - Use a decent top and base coat (I use Essie's here to stay as a base and good to go as a topper) because it can make your nail polish last for weeks - Wait at least five to ten minutes (the longer the better) in-between each individual coat - Invest some actual money into the top and base coat because that way you can buy cheaper colored nail polish - Usually when nail polish doesn't seem to dry properly you have either not waited long enough between coats or your top coat is bad - If you want your nail polish to last extra long, wrap the tip with each coat of nail polish and add a new coat of top coat every few days (I usually do every four or five but it depends on how much you use your hands) - Bonus tip: use nail oil, it'll help prevent breaking Hope this helps you and everyone else who is trying to save some money on their nails
Good luck with your new job Ciara 🥰 I hope Gatsby is on the mend bless him 🤞❤️ I totally understand what it's like when you have a poorly pet 😭 they are a part of the family at the end of the day ❤️
Hi Ciara, I'm glad that you have found motivation and inspiration for your channel and that you are back with new vlogs. With all those sweaters, long pants and hot cups of tea you are making me dream about Autumn with its fresher temperatures and colder days. I'm located in Italy and I'm really fed up with the weather conditions (last Saturday I was out in Florence with 40° C!). All the best for your new job and I hope that Gatsby is getting better and better.
I’m so happy for you having you own place but oh how I miss that reading room. It is so so picturesque that the perfect varying weather outside could have been a green screen. Can’t believe it’s been 1 1/2 years
Ciara I really recommend the Essie Expressie nail varnish line - I hate having to wait ages for it to dry as well and these are super fast :) Hadn't got to the Gatsby part, so glad he's feeling better! I had a little lionhead when I lived on my own in a flat, she was the best little buddy. I miss her still years later ❤️
So delighted Gatsby is on the mend xxx have everything crossed xx Flowers in The Attic was massive when I was a teen and i never had any inclination to read because of the horrible themes , happy to see you have confirmed this as trust your opinion xxx Best of luck with your new job xxx
I am glad that Gatsby is feeling better! Congratulations for your new job! I am waiting to start the new Jenny Colgan book soon! A few years ago I have read “Flowers in the attic” and yes, it was disturbing. Xo
Oh my goodness, that song you played while you and Jay were syringe feeding Gatsby made me tear up! Pets are so special and it's so hard when they're not well. I hope he's feeling better. 💜
Dark is honestly one of the best shows Germany has brought out in the last few years. Hope you'll continue to enjoy it, I loved it and remember being on the edge of my seat for a lot of the episodes and I just couldn´t stop thinking about it! You and Jay are in for a wild ride. Greetings from Berlin 🤎👋
I haven’t finished the video yet but I paused it to try to help w/ your shin splints. I’m a massage therapist and doing the stretch where you tuck your legs under you one leg at a time and lean back. In a kneeling 🧎🏾♀️ position. You can do both at the same time or one leg at a time and lean back. But stay over the shin so you feel in your shin and less in your quad. Also shin splints come from tight calves. Roll your calves out with a rolling pin. Hope this helps. 😀
So happy to know Gatsby is doing well :) What a cutie by the way! Bunnies are such sweet and intelligent animals ; i feel lucky to have one in my life as well !
Flowers in the Attic is one of those books your mother gives you at too young of an age and you completely devour because it’s so absurd and taboo. My Sweet Audrina was another VC Andrews book I should not have been reading at the age I read it lol.
Your care and dedication to Gatsby is to be commended.I hope you get over your sore shins. While it's nice to shave off the seconds or indeed minutes in terms of your running times, never lose sight of the health and enjoyment factor!✨
love your bee mug 🐝 ohh wow when you said you didn't mind spoilers, I immediately thought "well, that probably doesn't apply to a show like Dark" and then you start watching it 🤯 hope Gatsby keeps feeling better - sending you hugs 💗
I am so glad that Gatsby is getting well! Good luck on your new job! I do the same as you watching series like Dark to practice languages, I do it by watching and enjoying your videos, since my native language is spanish. Ciara last month i visited England, i did it with my family, we went to York in the hottest day in history!! Love your city so much, all your beautiful country, we also went to Scotland!
I'm so relieved Gatsby perked up. We have 14y old cats, so also older bless them. I hope it's still good news in next week's vlog. Sorry you didn't like flowers in the attic (haven't read it). I would like to try Jenny Colgan after you've spoken so highly. Have you read Katie Fforde? She sounds very similar and I always feel so uplifted after her books, I know what I'm getting and they sound quite like Jenny's. Shin splints are such a bugger!! I got them a lot, especially when I was running faster. They seem to have gone now, but I have to be careful with my achilles tendons...
Thank you, appreciate that and hope your cats keep doing good! Sadly have another Gatsby update in the next video and he sadly went downhill again and didn’t make it💔 I haven’t read Katie Fforde but will have a look at her stuff! And you’ve hit the nail on the head there with running, injuries seem to like travelling so I’m always between shin pain, knee pain and hip pain😬
@@ciarascorner oh Ciara I'm so so sorry to read about Gatsby 💔 such a heartbreak losing a pet xxx I used to get horrible quads pain, but one visit to a physio sorted that out. Taping my achilles helped too. But in this heat I've had to do way less runs, which happens every summer 🥵
Life with pets is wonderful but it also has the flip side of the coin. As you said, pets will not be here, with us, forever. It still hurts to see them unwell. Our cat wasn't doing well in the spring time and me and my spouse thought that it will be the end of his life, the situation seemed really bad. But then he got new medication which changed the game totally. Now the cat's doing so much better and he's not in pain. So there is hope, and I hope that Gatsby will be fine and healthy!
If you have shin splints try taking shorter strides (so more steps when running) I used to get them really bad and someone told me that and it really helped x
Gatsby is an invincible little old man! The way Oscar was meowing for your attention is so typical of him- Noonez looked extremely alarmed at the sound of him lol. Also u know I will do your nails for u if you want hehe 💖
“Flowers in the attic” was one of my first reads as a young adult and I loooooved it hahaha I read the second and third one as well and stopped there. I don’t remember the exact details of the book but I honestly finished it very quickly and was so impressed with the story. It’s disturbing, but I thought it was very interesting
Yay a new vlog‼️ I like your 🐝 ☕️ ‼️ 😋 snacks and ☕️‼️ 😋 sourdough 🍞‼️ Oh hot cocoa with marshmallows‼️ Oh that’s a pretty shade of pink on your 💅🏼‼️ Sorry Gatsby 🐰 is not doing so well‼️ Exploding sourdough never heard of that one before‼️ Ps: I finished Epically Earnest and it was totally awesome‼️ Afterwards I Finished Tokyo Dreaming and it was super sweet‼️ Then I finished When The Moon was Ours and it was amazing‼️
I’m so glad that there has been a bright spot in your week with Gatsby feeling better. I hope it continues. You guys have a good attitude and good support in each other. I have to say, “shinjury” made me laugh out loud. 😂 I remember watching Flowers in the Attic and felt the same about it as a movie. :::shudder::: I’ve just finished the first in a series by Lauren Ruby called York and am ready to start the second. It really held my attention. I read most of it just today. It helped that the power was off so what else could I do? I hope your shinjury heals quickly and the very best of luck with your new job!
Thanks so much - Gatsby still seems to be feeling better which is great news! Shinjury was too good not to say😂 but also seems to be feeling better which is good! Yeah don’t think I’ll watch the film😬 Glad you enjoyed your book!
Love Jenny colgan too read flowers in the attic years ago the first 2 in series were very different and addicting but after that they just got way too over the top !
Flowers in the attic is a TV series on lifetime...there's so much missing from that book..there are more in the series..you need to read them all or your missing Soo much! And the TV short series was very good as well and explained a lot
I've been learning English mainly watching yt videos so your tip is super helpful.. I'm 35, mom, so I don't have that much of a chance to watch tv shows but I add here and there yt videos so I'll stay on track.. your videos are perfect to practice the English accent.. really entertaining as well.. thank you.. good luck with your new work..
Great vlog and so glad little Gatsby is getting better. I read The Flowers in the Attic series when I was in my teens and also watched the film that was made in the 80s. Virginia Andrews seemed to have had an interesting life - there’s not much info about it but it seemed to mirror the storylines in her books. I actually preferred her Dawn series which has a similar dark theme/atmosphere.
LOVE YOUR BEE MUG! Remind me of Bridgertons season 2! I just read north & south by Elizabeth Gaskell on of my new favorite book of all time I’m shocked how it is not known at all so underrated if you love pride & prejudice you would love this!!!!!
I read Flowers in the attic a couple of years ago and i remember that i had mixed feelings about it.The unusual and quite promising plot but the realisation... well wasn't good. The language was too simple (that maybe because we see the story with the teens eyes but still)..no proper explanation to the trasformation of the main heroine who firstly gave up money for love, raised and loved her children for like 14 years .and then ended the way she ends...and the rest of the family, they are all broken in some way but..why..i would like to see kind of insight into their personalities...And i remember enormous and boring descriptions of clothes and jewellery through the book.
So glad Gatsby is doing better. What a cute little feller. Hope he continues to do well.
Dark is amazing. One of my favorite shows ever.
I'm so relieved that Gatsby seems to be on the mend for now. Even though our pets can't live forever, every extra day is a gift. I'm loving that the fall vibes are starting in your videos already! 😊
Me too! And yes, so here for the autumn vibes!
So glad to know that Gatbsy is feeling better now! As you said, we never have enough time with our pet and our role is to give them a happy life.
Absolutely - we're lucky to have them but it's not for long enough!
From someone who is obsessed with doing their nails:
- Use a decent top and base coat (I use Essie's here to stay as a base and good to go as a topper) because it can make your nail polish last for weeks
- Wait at least five to ten minutes (the longer the better) in-between each individual coat

I don’t get shin splints when I make sure I’m not running with my legs outward, I keep my stride at my hips and it also is less work
