We only have 12 acres and have a Pyrenees anatolian shepherd mix that is huge. 160 acres across the road has cows and horses and they love Boomer. He doesn't go very far into their pasture but their calf losses have gone way down from coyotes. They had a old cow down near the road and he was found early one morning sleeping beside her protecting her. Their momma cows don't pay any attention when he walks among them and kisses their calve lol.
I used to work a ranch that had a 150 pound Anatolian named Maverick. What a cool dog... unless he saw you as a threat. The cows would call the dogs if they saw something and the dogs would take off running.
The problem with dogs is that even a well behaved dog will often get into trouble if it is running with a dog that will attack farm animals. Dogs in a pack or group can become a serious problem real fast.
I lost my dog because my husbands dog that is usually chained got loose and decided to cause problem…My dog would never chase livestock but the other dog wasn’t used to livestock. My husbands dog chased the neighbors sheep and since my dog was with him caused my dog to be killed…
Went to a farm today in NC to have S’mores with Goats. Loved on the goats, highlands, ducks, chickens, and donkey. Was the most fun day! Im 65 years old and still love to pet animals.

Hello Chad Good evening. So the Hyland redesigned your truck for you Lol that's crazy. They all have their own personalities, which makes them unique. I love watching them do crazy stuff and always love seeing Bruce standing in the food trough munching away. If it was me, l would pull his tail every time l caught him doing that!! I also love the Alpacas & Donkeys with their furry coats. Glad to see you are thinking of doing a bigger basement. I can't wait to see it all come together. I believe when the little ones get a little older the basement will come in handy as an extra bedroom. Are you thinking of sharing your final floor plan of the house with us? That would be interesting to see & later on when you add all the furniture it won't seem too big. Thanks for the video. 🌴🌹
I feel like I am reading a novel when I come to this channel. So much preciousness, a lovely family, adventures and a few sad times. Chad you are so blessed!! I love this family!!! ❤️
Hey, Chad. Temperatures this time of yr are horrible for Northeast OK. I've been in Miami when there was 5/6 inches of snow, which I never had seen before.

Chad, you use your Freedom Stick to defend your farm, animals and family. Love how the property looks and looking forward to see what y'all start doing next once things warm up a bit.

Hello Chad! I'm Anita: I really enjoy watching you with all the animals. We have a big chicken farm. Lol We have 2 old hens. Watching you and your family with the animals takes me back to when I was a child growing up on farm. Thank you for sharing with all of us
I would definitely say that Lucy is in foal. She keeps getting bigger and wider in belly and I don't think it's from over feeding. Rae will be so excited to have a baby Donkey.
A Foam Block foundation is the way we went with building our basement foundation! And I could help build it with a contractor! They save the heat and after Drywall / Gyproc I could lean against a section of the wall in the basement within a minute of leaning on it you could feel the heat against my Back / Body I was sold and never regretted using Foam blocks I also used gas-fired in-floor heat and I loved the comfort! As heat rises the upstairs was also comfortable! Good luck with your build and always expect to go over-budget
I got two stories for y'all about dogs. When my cousins were still about 10 yrs old, they lived out in the country. They had chickens and cows and the like. One day their neighbors, across the street from them, their dog got out and came trottin down their driveway. This was a dog that knew my aunt's family and kids and had been around them before with no problems. Well, on this day, when the dog came over, my cousin was petting him and the dog decided to jump up and grab him in the face. He, thankfully, only has scars from the event. The second is, when I was about 16, I was walking to the school bus. As I passed my friends house, her dog, that I had been playing fetch with the day before, came out to the street. She stopped in front of me, I said hi girl and then tried to go around her when I did she got up on her back feet and grabbed at my upper arm and got my shirt sleeve. All that being said never trust someone else's dog. Cause you never know.

If you plan on using the garage attic as a living area, I suggest building it like a `Saltbox' house where the ridge beam is not centered, but is located 1/4 - 1/3 from one side wall and the roof pitches can be different. If you build like this, you will have 3 useable side walls, without deadspace, as one side wall is taller than the other. This will also enable you to add additional windows to the living space for light and ventilation. Additionally you could build a T shaped roof, or technically a large Dormer, but roof valleys tend to leak over the long term. Keep up the great work, cant wait to see what new critter you picked up, maybe you should find a Paint Jenny to match Lil' Donk.

Greetings from Nebraska! You live in Oklahoma. Put a basement in for tornadoes! We had a bathroom over a garage once and it was really cold in there. My suggestion is to insulate the garage ceiling/bedroom floor. It will save on heating costs and make the room much more comfortable. Also we just put a heater in our garage and love it. Makes putting the trash together and storage of un-freeze-able stuff much easier. Love the channel-I miss Fred-he was my favorite. Sure hope he got one of the girls pregnant. Take care!
It really is that expensive in Alaska! I live here and it is expensive. But, I love Alaska. The scenery is so BEAUTIFUL here! I love waking up to a moose sleeping in my front yard!
Hi guys!! Hope you get the dog issue resolved...it can be a very annoying problem for you if not, & a HUGE problem for the farm animals too Good luck ☘️☘️☘️
You have trained Case well! I enjoyed watching him "doctor up" his chili. I understand the creole seasoning, if you like to spice things up, but not the mustard (unless that's how you eat yours too Chad). I don't eat mustard on anything though. I pray you, and your precious family, have a blessed day!💙
That’s the way it should always be, look out for you and your neighbours farm. When we were on the farm my neighbours had keys and anytime something was wrong when I was off racing our horses they could take care of anything that needed it. I was off racing in a big race purse was $50,000 and my mare had her foal a few weeks early, the neighbour called the vet because she had a bit of trouble and I was very grateful for that. Thank god for good neighbours.
Good morning Adler Farms. I defiinitely agree the neighbors' dog picked the wrong day. Interestingly enough, I have similar problems with stray dogs wandering onto my property. That's why it's so imporant to build good fences .Good fences make for good neighbors. 😊
Growing up there were a lot of kids in our semi-rural neighborhood. Every once in a while a pack of dogs would show up, which was definitely a threat to both children and our pets. So the men in the neighborhood would get together, some of them on horses, and go hunting.
Stray dogs can be a real problem. Another channel had a stray dog problem that they eventually had to use a final solution to take care of. Keep your livestock safe, keep your family safe. Take care.💖💖💖
That was so funny! Bruce's girlfriend listened to you and went to the lower tank... BTW, what is her name? She's gotta' have one... Also, I loved when Badonka headbutted Bruce! 😁

@@kennyFF033 It’s amazing how Mother Nature works together to help animals take care of each other. Love it.
Good stories of good neighbors getting along, we need more of this!
The problem with dogs is that even a well behaved dog will often get into trouble if it is running with a dog that will attack farm animals. Dogs in a pack or group can become a serious problem real fast.
Same with PEOPLE!!!
Even with 2 dogs together it can be a PACK.
People that run in packs can become equally serious problems just as fast!
Same as people.

Hello Chad and family you gotta do what you gotta do to keep your farm animals safe and your family

dogs who go feral, form packs, and will kill herbivores, chained dogs ad people and attack children.

25 degrees here in Poland Maine. With 10” of snow and still coming.
Stray dogs can be a real problem. Another channel had a stray dog problem that they eventually had to use a final solution to take care of. Keep your livestock safe, keep your family safe. Take care.💖💖💖
I love graph paper, so much fun to design with.
This was a great video! Keep up the great work!
That was so funny! Bruce's girlfriend listened to you and went to the lower tank... BTW, what is her name? She's gotta' have one... Also, I loved when Badonka headbutted Bruce! 😁
