I'll always have a fun William Fichtner story. Around 2000 (shortly after The perfect storm) I raced go karts against him and his son at Great Escape in upstate NY and we were going back and forth the entire race until literally the final turn when suddenly my kart died! He came up to me after and said how much fun that was and asked what happened. Just a cool interaction to have with a movie star as a young teenager.

So many so called “stars” are just as down to earth and relatable as any one of us. I lived at n the same town as Tom Petty and hung out at the same coffee shop as him. On any given day you could find him talking with someone over local politics, sports, history or telling old stories about his time in the music industry or just about anything else. He was just a regular dude who was truly talented and gifted. He never let it go to his head.

These guys did such an incredible job as Delta operators. I’ve had the privilege of meeting several over the years and I never really got over just how “ordinary” they can seem, until it’s time for them to be extraordinary. Fichtner has carved a strange niche out for himself by just always being on that varsity list of supporting actors, one of the first to get the call when a director needs some super solid ability to help his lead actor move the story along. Loved him in TDK.

Happy Birthday William Fichtner. Your awesome legend. I love The Dark Knight. Batman is awesome, love it. Also I love, Independence Day 2 Resurgence, koolest alien movie. Black Hawk Down is incredible. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, badass, love Soldier movies and games is pretty good. Grand Theft Auto Vice City and San Andreas is better. I played Vice City and San Andreas when I was 10 or 12. It's complicated. U gotta love the action. May the Peace be with u Ken Rosenberg and Sandman. From Harlingen Texas. November 27, 1956

I think that he's talking about the actress from Queen of the South, which was filed in New Orleans. She also starred in I am Legend and Elysium

I’d never seen or heard of William until Crossing Lines - loved how he played Hickman & Kim Coates was that awful Genovese who’d wounded him - so funny they’re best friends! 🤣 My son walked past the tv & said that’s the guy from Prison Break! 🤣

If all you like fitchner and coates and don't mind a sappy movie, he directed/co wrote "cold brook." If you want to see fitchner being strange, "the neighbor."
