A lot of the MMA content on UA-cam even a couple years ago was junk and top ten lists geared towards newer fans who started watching in the last 5-10 years. You're really pushing forward what can be done with MMA on UA-cam. Keep up the good work. 👍
Brother Lionel, don't forget that Anderson went on to boxing and did the improbable there, too. Even his "loss" to Paul doesn't diminish his incredible, improbable climb because that "loss" was iffy and his victoria over Chavez was staggering. Another thing even I...a die-hard Silva fan...was fearful of him even attempting. Anderson is a true artist of sports combat. He is the very incarnation of supreme skill overmatched by the pure love of the arts and mated eternally and inseparably with the heart of a champion warrior who's also a champion in Life.
I dunno, when he started racking up losses against lesser fighter I think that really diminished his overall career. He should have stopped after the leg break, everything after that subtracted from his GOAT status
I love how honest Anderson is with the bar story. Reminds me of a time i was at a college party and i see a group of my friends showed up. I didn't understand how they knew where i was but i found out my roommate had told them. They always start problems and that night they started a fight. I broke it up and got the four of them out and walked them to their car. When i came back the guys holding the party were in aw of me. I didn't understand but since they didnt know i actually knew the guys they thought i had single handly scared them to leave lol
All i hope is that Anderson knows what he’s done for this sport. He’s paved the way for both adults and teens like me and even children like my young cousins at 6,9. He has losses and he popped twice later in his career. But that won’t change my mind from thinking this guy is my goat. Great man, great father, great fighter and entertainer. Wish absolutely nothing but the very best for him🙏

That was the last day Rich Franklin was more famous than Silva and a rematch just seemed like a bad idea…. and it was. Anderson was misunderstood a little during his prime. People didn’t know what an absolutely wonderful guy he is. He and Chael are gonna make some of that boxing money now and good for them. I love that they’re friends today. Great video great stoyboarding production and editing!
I was lucky enough to be at UFC 148 (an amazing trifecta trip to the States of SDCC, UFC, and Evo Fighting Champs). As a long time UFC viewer it was absolutely an honor to see peak Silva. I've been to many concerts over my years but nothing has compared to the crowd at UFC 148 when Silva finished Sonnen.
I consider him the GOAT…
He fought like a movie…
We never saw nothing like it…
Was it perfect no…
JJ gets praised,is he perfect?
Anderson inspired and he NEVER compromised his personality and grace…
GSP didn’t want it…
#thespider 🕷️🐐
Awesome vid broski…
you need to post more dude! these videos are awesome
I wish I could!
Bro that was literally the best way to ask people to subscribe 😂 you definitely got me man, this is a great video too, very well put together.
Him and GSP are the best fighters in ufc to ever exist period
😳
@@lionelrivera_MMA and I don't count jon jones because he's a dirty fighter and a disgusting human compared to those 2 legends who are good on and off the octagon
@@VirtousStoicthe only excuse jon jones fans use is “uhm, actually everyone is on steroids”
@@wgamer85 lol true. His toxic abusive dirty fighting alcoholic, run over people, drive under the influence, punch civilians. Can all be excuses by steroids hehe
Tbh JJ is someone who should be in a mental institution, or jail
Sadly he's instead a UFC legend because he sells tickets. Sad world we live in
Silva and GSP are the embodiment of a warrior dignity. When you practise martial arts of any kind the first lesson is to be a good human and to use it when needed. And those 2 embody those teachings
Ah well
Man I love that I found this channel. Keep up the good work man
Love these long format docs. Would really enjoy one on the count himself
A truly legendary run
Been waiting on this one for a long while.
Here at last!
Dana at age 10 introducing his father to his friends:
"Hey what's up everybody? Look, this kid's my Dad, and he's got a really bright future ahead of him."
Dana's dad walked out on him and his mother when he was only 7. So he would have said that at 6, and in his typical hype man fashion, it didn't end up turning out like he thought it would.
This was prime UFC, now days it so full and overblown, glad got to watch his rise. BJ was my fav at the time. But the Bisping fight was epic, so much respect for him. Almost cried watching here again, Great Video, best MMA channel around!
I'm your biggest fan LIONEL
I appreciate that Sebastian. What was your favorite part of the vid?
I liked the bad guy part a lot! Anderson winning by ko was a nice touch. At the time that I commented I didn’t finish it but yea. That and cage rage hit🔥
Video is crazy good, great editing, great script, just fantastic, i watched it and afterwards i realized how long it was great job
to me silva will always go down as the greatest in his prime the man was something so special my brother never missed his fights! him and gsp are my all time greatest
incredible video thank you man.
At 33:30 i lowkey thought that was young/nerdier version of hunter campbell but realized it was Anthony kiedis from rhcp lmao
Didnt even realize it was him lmaooo
Really glad I stumbled on your channel. Terrific content and editing. You found things I haven't even seen as a complete die hard, unapologetic, complete fanboy of Anderson Silva.
A lot of the MMA content on UA-cam even a couple years ago was junk and top ten lists geared towards newer fans who started watching in the last 5-10 years. You're really pushing forward what can be done with MMA on UA-cam. Keep up the good work. 👍
I'm still bummed we never got GSP VS Silva . The Superfight we ACTUALLY wanted .
😩
Dana didn't want GSP to get smoked
@dennistonrockstone 💯 gsp would have been destroyed, no doubt in my mind
Lionel never fails to impress me with his videos, putting out better content than the UFC lately
Do I know you?
Mixed post more
I love how honest Anderson is with the bar story.
Wish absolutely nothing but the very best for him🙏
Channel so good that I, (not a fight fan) can't stop watching his videos
Silva is the reason i started muaythai and watched him since his pridefc days... i was at that stadium when he did the MJ walkout dance! Man that was when i said this is goiing to be the greatest sport off all time led by Silva... A true one off a kind man
Love youre Videos these are one of the best dokumentarys i watch
I appreciate that brother!🙏🏻
@@lionelrivera_MMA much love brother 🗿❤️
love the documentary content, always great and amazing to watch or listen to at work, have you ever considered going to spotify?
Means a lot cooper. My content does get uploaded to spotify! But not early Access content.
@@lionelrivera_MMAoh i see, i hadn’t checked. good to hear though! keep it up lionel, in my opinion you’re at the pinnacle of consumer made fight docs. have you seen “fighting in an age of loneliness”? at least that’s what i think it’s called… it’s quite a nice video by secret base that covers a wide range of history relating to MMA. i think it was really insightful for a lot of 3d rendering based editing if you’re ever needing something to glue together segments of your videos! of course not to discredit your current work as it’s great, but just a little something i think could add to that
@@coopertaro I'll check it out!
thank you lionel rivera
Love your work bro, another banger. Much love Lionel. I reccomend doing a couple youtube shorts and clips on socials if you can. Even if its just the first 3mins. Congrats on 136k subs, on the road to 150k, let's freaking go brother!! Stay humble, stay safe, stay strong!
I appreciate it brother!🙏🏻
just know u make some of the best content on youtube
I appreciate you🤝🏻
Anderson Silva is in the same athletic category as Ronaldinho for me!! So entertaining, so humble, such showmen that enjoyed their sport!!
👌🏻
Great vid
I appreciate that!
I started following MMA as a OG TUF Noob in 2005 but Silva's UFC debut in 2006 is what made me a lifelong fan to this day. Truly a special fighter.
Silva is the guy whom every striker should study. He is really that man who had what it takes to be a Champion
When I used to do MMA in the back yard I would imagine Anderson and try to mimic his style a little. He was so smooth in so many of his fights. Never seen a cleaner fighter except that one night Cody Garbandt was the best fighter on Earth against Dom lol
Great video Leo.
Amazing job, every video is just great!
"I guess u could say the turns tabled" not only was Anderson a fighter he was an amazing DJ lol
AMAZINING AS ALWAYS🔥🔥🔥
He was always one of if not the best. For some reason BRAZIL always produce top notch athletes.. i love this guy
Brazil is UFC’s daddy.
The Iceman, the spider, GSP, John Jones, Royce Gracie, = 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I’m a die hard fan of sonnen. So I hated Anderson Silva for a while, when I watched the show they made about him I kinda started to like him. Over the past 6ish months I went over this guys career and there is no way anybody can ever fight like this guy, straight up wizard. Easily top 5 favorite fighters of all time.
GSP, Chuck Liddell and Anderson Silva got me into mma.
I love GSP but prime Silva would've destroyed him
Whoah
Pshaw friend. I'd love to see that fight though.
I loved him so much i cried when he lost i hated chris weidman so much i changed my opinion after awhile anderson silva should've fought jon jones we lost that great fight for ufc history also he should've fought gsp another fight we lost
Let's Gooooooo Spidersense activated!
U still broke?🤣 JK glad to see you here
@lionelrivera_MMA LOL bro, yeah, just a dry spell m8. The moment I have money I'm getting a membership.
