I used to joke with my buddies that Rogan only made it through the D's in the dictionary, because of how often he used 'dominating,' 'devastating,' and 'dangerous,' while commentating. We even made up a drinking game (taking a shot every time he used some iteration of those words), and unsurprisingly, we all got hammered beyond belief. It was always good natured trash talk, though, because Rogan's passion for the sport was so easy to see, and we appreciated that as a group of MMA fanatics. I still miss the days when Joe teamed up with Mike Goldberg on commentary, cuz that was the era we all became fans, but it's amazing what Rogan has accomplished since then. I love the Goldie Rogan duo and you know I had to do it justice here. You could probably do a drinking game for every time he says "unbelievable"🤣 glad you enjoyed the vid🤝
I’m still mad about Mike Goldberg, I love Jon Anik but Goldberg was as much the voice of the UFC as Joe was. Those two are what built the UFC into what it is today.
@strabe30 for sure, but at least Anik still has that voice and excitement, if Joe and Anik both aren't on it has no life. Think of all the crazy finishes we've got with no "and it is all over"

Joe is and always will be my favorite commentator. He may have his flaws but no one does it like Joe. Aside from the great commentary, the funny moments when something crazy happens will never get old.
My stepfather showed me UFC when chuck Liddell was the main guy. As a kid, I remember being really impressed by this one guy describing everything that was happening with his passion and enthusiasm, Joe Rogan. I remember looking up Joe Rogan on the internet and he pretty much became a huge influence on me growing up, his views on cannabis, psychedelics turned me on to Terrence McKenna. His views on life switched me up. Rogan is a huge reason why I now live on an island in Thailand, fit and healthy with my own cannabis business instead of being a miserable office guy. He was my big brother as weird as it may sound. That radio show where he's describing humanity as bacteria is like a prayer to me. Completely opened up my eyes.
@@billythedreamer good for you, but many do not, as unfortunate as it is. Joe Rogan once said "Martial arts is a vessel for human growth" and it changed my life ever since. Been training since 2017 thanks to Rogan, no matter what controversy pops up I still owe so much to mr. Joseph Rogan.
Thanks for this video. I've been saying it for years. Joe literally taught the og fan how to watch MMA. He was the best at doing that. He knew the names of the moves and the set ups, etc. He set the standard for MMA commentary.
Joe was perfect for this. He loves fighting, he trains it himself, he’s got personality and charisma for days, the fighters (most of them) like & respect him, and he works to be better every year (unlike Mike G).
Well, the OG's had been watching since UFC 1 and Rogan didn't get involved until UFC 12. Not hating on your comment but the O in OG literally is for "original", meaning from the start, so he didn't teach the OG's anything, but he did set the standard for those fans that came along later. 👍

Thanks for that man I really needed it today.
I was born with spina bifida and high functioning autism and albeit with limitations I can run and walk. I was obese and always made excuses that I couldnt be fit because of my condition. It was through my love of mma found in my late teens and listening to Joe that I got a little fire started in me. His matter of fact way of speaking resonated with me and there's a clip of him somewhere where he says if you can move you can work out. Im 30 now and I weight train everyday as well as train boxing. I begin Jiu jitsu next month. Joe has been one of many motivating factors that changed my life for the better.
The interview where he has a debate with the boxing guy was the reason why I found out that mma was a sport. Before that I only heard it in passing when I watched bully beatdown but after I watched that on youtube I found out and started watching and then training and competing. Back in like 2010 basically no one knew that it was a thing in my country and then Gustafsson came along and made sure that everyone knew about it.
Very well done. 🤘 The 1st MMA event I saw was the re-run of Pride FC: Final Conflict 2003 on free TV in my hometown New Delhi, India on January 01, 2004 at 4 AM. I was 14 years old at the time, and I think my life took a different direction ever since. Soon after, I started to watch the UFC and have ever since, despite what they did to Strikeforce, Pride FC, and how they monopolized the MMA market. I'm not a fan of what the UFC has done to the market, but there is no way I can deny the profound impact Joe has had on the combat sports world, specially guiding and walking the fans through in real time, on what was happening on the ground. Plus, he by all accounts he comes across as an every man. Inspiring, flawed, reasonable, rational, silly human being. Simply amazing. Him and Goldberg was my favourite broadcasting duo, right after Mauro and Rutten. Thanks for the video and keep it up. ♥️
Dude, your promo is the best I've ever seen! I Hate most reminders to like and subscribe forget about patreon promos. I ffwd through some. Yours made me laugh. Might have been the highlight of a very good video. Well done sir👏👏
I watched maybe the first UFC, I had no idea what I was watching. Then I started watching again in the early 2000’s. I watched a little baseball in the 90’s when the Braves were winning, I really don’t watch sports, but the UFC is something I could actually sit and enjoy, unless I was jumping up with excitement. I remember hearing the crowd boo when the fight went to the ground. Without Joe explaining a lot of people may have tuned out. I do miss the days of the sport literally evolving right in front of your eyes. For example arm bars, seeing someone roll out and escape, when just last week it was a done deal.
2005... The very first Ultimate Fighter was HUGE for me!!!! Joe Rogan Fear Factor Personality, but mainly explaining what was going on on the ground got me hooked aswel, Rogan's the MAN!!!
I actually only first found you now, your analysis is great but I'm not going to lie I liked and subscribed as soon as your edit with you and Joe talking was done 😂😂, that was awesome man 👌
Rogan got me in shape and lit a passion in me for martial arts. He also introduced me to shrooms and DMT and Bill Burr and the national treasure that is Joey Diaz. He helped me perfect my English! He filled my endless boring shifts with levity and energy. He may not have been perfect but he was what worked at the time. I'm grateful.
I remember watching Ken Shamrock fight back in the day because I watched WWF, but then I lost track of the ufc until about 2010 when I started listening to the JRE podcast. I was never a huge fight fan. I mean I watched Mike Tyson growing up, but so did everyone. But MMA is so much more entertaining.
Thanks for the video , was very nice view so many iconic moments of the sport and learn more of the máster joe, nice edit make laugh . I see so much UA-cam and i can tell u r gonna be big
Gotta respect the sheer amount of material required to sift through to put this video together. So many clips over the course of so many years, it blow my mind. I’m always blown away by the work put into these videos. You’re helping the newcomers to the sport catch up and get educated
Thank you for giving Joe his flowers before he leaves the Earth, he really has made a huge impact on getting people to take interest in UFC and MMA in general. The way he explains with a lot excitement what's going on especially on the ground. he is very instrumental
A lot of people talk shit about Joe Rogans commentary, more now than ever before, but he’s still my favorite commentator. He is to MMA what Al Michaels is to Football…for me at least. I enjoy the fights more when he’s commentating. Like I could watch the same exact fight, one with him commentating and one where he’s not and I’ll enjoy it more with his commentary. So yes, Thank you Joe Rogan. Your passion in part fueled my passion for MMA.
Honestly..I've never watched Joe Rogans podcast and he didn't have a damn thing to do with me becoming a UFC fan. Fighters like Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Tank Abbott, Chuck Liddell, and later Mcgregor did.
I was pretty neutral about Joe Rogan before this. You really did him a great service in your video. Very well done, and very effective in communicating your point.
Everything about this video is beautiful! thanks for sharing. I have to say though it's a bit over-edited, the shots are changing too often, and the snapshot sound effect is a bit too loud, it distracts the viewer from the amazing content. Apologies for the unsolicited feedback, you got a great thing going & I'm rooting for you!
I think the thing I love about Joe is how he basically spent a chunk of years doing stuff he didn’t really enjoy like acting or hosting fear factor to basically cover any money needs and once he was solid to fine he just locked in on doing the things he did enjoy and had no expectation to make anything of note from them. But after doing them long enough he improved and grew an audience and now makes a ton from all that stuff and will never have to do something he doesn’t want to be doing ever again. Which is pretty damn cool to obtain the freedom to only do things you enjoy doing because you have zero need to be swayed into putting up with something you dislike because you need the money like the majority of us end up having to do. And he has always seemed to be aware of how fortunate his life has become and seems to be grateful for it and hasn’t become entitled or began taking it for granted
Joe Rogan was the one who got me in to mma and martial arts in general. I had trained Judo for many years but joe rogan made me wan't to complete my game wich eventually got me in to mma
I’ve watched many videos of people talking Joe Rogan’s rise but this video is one of the greatest mma appreciation videos ever let alone a Joe Rogan video I hope this video gets 10 million videos one day I love Joe Rogan and I’m glad he’s apart of this sport and I love this video keep up the good work.
I started consistently watching MMA in 2011, the ufc made me a Joe Rogan fan. It has been awesome to watch the blow up since covid, its different the Connor. He blew the ufc up but they were Connor fans not ufc fans. This covid wave of fans are fight fans and its a pleasure to watch.

Back in like 2010 basically no one knew that it was a thing in my country and then Gustafsson came along and made sure that everyone knew about it.
Tremendous video! Very happy I found this channel that was one of the most engaging UFC/Rogan videos I’ve ever seen.
Another certified classic. 🎉❤
You already know what it is brotha
Very well done. 🤘
The 1st MMA event I saw was the re-run of Pride FC: Final Conflict 2003 on free TV in my hometown New Delhi, India on January 01, 2004 at 4 AM.
Great job! Joe definitely turned me onto the UFC, love it!
What a fantastic documentary! By far the best on UA-cam! Learned many things didn’t this about Rogan I hadn’t known. Great archive of footage
Dude, your promo is the best I've ever seen! I Hate most reminders to like and subscribe forget about patreon promos. I ffwd through some.
Yours made me laugh. Might have been the highlight of a very good video. Well done sir👏👏
Thanks brother I appreciate it
3:00 Lol His character essentially seems like alternate universe’s version of Joey from _Friends._
That was a great presentation of Joe Rogan's case!
Congratulations for your work!
(I am watching Joe 20+ years)
what a great video!!!! the editing and pacing is so awesome it didnt seem like 40 mins
Great video. Well done. I’ve been watching UFC since 95 on VHS video in Japan. Joe’s a champ 😎
The "Patreon" skit with Joe and you made me a subscriber. :D Good work.
✊🏻🤣
2005... The very first Ultimate Fighter was HUGE for me!!!! Joe Rogan Fear Factor Personality, but mainly explaining what was going on on the ground got me hooked aswel, Rogan's the MAN!!!
I always love the fights more when Joe is commentating because his excitement is infectious.
I actually only first found you now, your analysis is great but I'm not going to lie I liked and subscribed as soon as your edit with you and Joe talking was done 😂😂, that was awesome man 👌
Joe Rogan DEFINITELY 100% got me watching UFC he deserves All the Credit in the world ….. he gave Us PERSPECTIVE
The editing of this video is very high quality. I'm surprised it only has 35k views, deserves millions.
I became a UFC fan from watching UFC.
Yoooooo lino just Wana say props on the editing killed it! 👍
love videos like this giving him the credit he deserves. great video dude
Love this. Been gettin some taps with it. Thanks 🙏🏻
I never heard of Rogan until JRE even though I've been watching fights since the early 2000's.
Thanks for the video , was very nice view so many iconic moments of the sport and learn more of the máster joe, nice edit make laugh . I see so much UA-cam and i can tell u r gonna be big
Any friend of Joe is a friend of mine. You just earned a subscription. Plus your story telling and video edit was pretty good. 👍
Brendan is your friend ?
Gotta respect the sheer amount of material required to sift through to put this video together. So many clips over the course of so many years, it blow my mind. I’m always blown away by the work put into these videos. You’re helping the newcomers to the sport catch up and get educated
The amount of time that must go into one of these. Awesome, thanks!
🥺🙏🏽
the couple mins of the fight audios gave me goosebumps cuz i remember each one
Great work Leo. Your best work yet. Nice one on one with you on JRE 🤣
I fear the day Joe doesn’t grace us with his presence and his words
:( same. Dana, too. World won't be the same
This is such a good video, just watching and listening to the old stuff is bringing back memories.
Thank you for giving Joe his flowers before he leaves the Earth, he really has made a huge impact on getting people to take interest in UFC and MMA in general. The way he explains with a lot excitement what's going on especially on the ground. he is very instrumental
Great video have been watching for a while now its thanks to channels like yours that now im a ufc fan
That means a lot. Thank you my friend!
Beautiful editing video. Joe if he see this would thank you sincerely. I really enjoyed it. Got a néw subscriber. Keep up the good work😊
Thanks friend!
I enjoyed this a lot, great job man!
Great mini documentary. Well put together 👏🏻👍🏻
We rented the very first UFC. I will never forget watching tiny Gracie beat everyone. It was very different then.
Joe Rogan is the John Madden of MMA. Great video
This is really good mate. Really impressed. Gripping documentary.
Let's goooo baby. Great work Lionel.
Appreciated
Great video man, just subbed
Nice! Thank you!
One of the best mma-related offerings I've seen in years --- you just got a new subscriber!
That Patreon segment was so smooth I didn't even realized it was a segway 'til halfway through it 😂
Joe Rogan was the one who got me in to mma and martial arts in general. I had trained Judo for many years but joe rogan made me wan't to complete my game wich eventually got me in to mma
That's sick!
the best advert for patreon ever
That means a lot dude, I was SWEATING in that suit brother
Mulțumesc pentru video! 🇷🇴
Mate you truly don't miss with these videos. Can i ask how you create that 3D depth effect on images? i love how much live that breathes into them!
Thanks brother. It's parallax. Can't do it myself. I have someone with skills give them life😅
Moving on up hahaha, appreciate it and keep smashing it!@@lionelrivera_MMA
I started consistently watching MMA in 2011, the ufc made me a Joe Rogan fan. It has been awesome to watch the blow up since covid, its different the Connor. He blew the ufc up but they were Connor fans not ufc fans. This covid wave of fans are fight fans and its a pleasure to watch.
