I feel like so many people have perioral dermatitis right now. I have it too and rosacea type 2 ): I usually use Soolantra for my rosacea but I was also put on the Rozex cream for my perioral dermatitis and I have now used it for almost a week. It's not gone at all, but it's getting better, I have hope(: My perioral dermatitis is around my mouth up to my nose and is really bad on my chin. I only wash my face with water and put the Rozex cream on twice a day. I don't use any moisturizer, cleanser, or makeup cuz I want my skin to heal fully. Though it`s really hard to go out in public sometimes with the rash and a bright red face with rosacea type 2. But I just have to accept the way I look. I was also put on antibiotics i year ago, and the rash got better but it came back again): I wish you luck and hope your skin heals fully too(:💗
Ahh I hope it gets better for you soon, seems like you know how to treat it which is great - just got to be patient and we will see the results :) good luck! X
Same thing for me for 1 year now. Switch to another dermatologist and he recommended 1% clotrimazole(lotrimin) OTC twice a day after gentle cleanse for 2 week's. With in 2 days flare up was gone by 85%.
So glad it’s helped! I guess it’s a good thing that there are so many different products to try but it may just take a while finding the right one 🤔 good and bad haha :)
I just finished accutane with great results three months ago! BUT now I have this suddenly. And I am depressed again. I feel hopeless. I got a taste of what clear skin was like only to tease me. This time dealing with perioral dermatitis is worse because I got a glimpse of what clear skin was like after years of suffering from acne.
My skincare routine is a foaming face wash by greenpeople and a dermatitis cream by mama nature. I am thinking of switching to mama nature's cold cream cleanser as I feel it may be more moisturising. My skin has never looked this good in years!
I get PD and find that stress is a big trigger factor. I am also allergic to sun screen. I now use Evy sunscreen and work hard to protect my skins barrier. Retinal helps too and zinc but you must start slowly.
Ugh I’ve been having this issue for a while now and for a while I just thought it was acne? But I’ve gone down this perioral rabbit hole and this is definitely what I’m suffering from and it’s honestly so embarrassing
I’m suffering with the problem at 68!! It’s just crazy! Anyway at first I thought it was acne, but realized the bumps were dome-like and didn’t come to a head like a zit usually does! So I figured it was either rosacea around my nose or peri oral dermatitis. I see my dermatologist soon and we’ll get it all sorted out!!
How long did the Rozex take to work for you? I've been using it for about 5 days and have maybe seen a slight improvement (by my nose it's still very red and I can see the little bumps), but I saw some videos saying it took them 4 days to almost completely get rid of it.
Hi!! I just came across your video, I am suffering with what I think is perioral dermatitis (doctors don’t know.. useless) but I have same symptoms and it looks the same as lots of pictures I’ve seen (red rash near mouth with bumps). How’s your skin today? Do you still have perioral dermatitis and if you don’t what products made it totally clear? was it the same two as the end of the video? I purchased the lyonsleaf cream and will ask for the prescription cream hopefully from my doctor that you used that was the the best, but until then I will purchase the Avene cream! With the Avene cream did you apply this before the lyonsleaf too? Sorry for all the questions and I hope you will see this.
Thank you so much - so pleased the Zinc and Calendula Cream has been such a winner for you :) Couldn't help but giggle (love your pronunciations) we recently posted about all the different ways we hear people say Calendula 😂
thank you for this video! i’m using the metronidazole cream for my dermatitis. I heard somewhere that you can put the cream a little bit inside your nostrils if thats a problem area, because its likely that its spreading from the nose. It seems to be helping for me!
@@lyndseyknight7525 No side effects from using that. I am using mupirocin ointment now prescribed from my doctor and it’s working better, also no side effects either
I made the same mistake as you!! I have eczema and I used the same steroid and mine is so bad now! I am wanting to totally clear it up. I thought it was just pimples for the longest time.
The thing wth steroid creams is also that they thin skin, which can cause skin cancer. My doctor told me. Especially needs to be used extra carefully on face since skins there s very sensitive
Hi, I got diagnosed with dermatitis yesterday after having it appear in December out of now where. I’ve been given the rozex gel to use. However, I’m noticing when I wake up, the area where the dermatitis is has come up in little whiteheads. Like the red bumps have turned into proper whiteheads. Now I do not know how to differentiate acne to dermatitis because I have both. Do you know if this is common or normal?
Thankyou, I want to try the Avene cream. What is it called? Also have to get the rosex cream, dr gave me the gel didnt help. Wl try & get the natural zinc cream frm a health shop. I find tissue salt Nat Mur also helps. No9
I feel like I have my Perioral Dermatitis cause of the mask 😩 I had it last year but it was cause I used a chemical peeling wrong and after 6 weeks of using nothing everything’s was okay but this year I feel like it’s cause of the masks 🥺
It's definately from masks. That's why so many people have started taking the cortisone creams which then leads to PD. I've been put on Accutane as a long term solution. Atleast until we stop wearing masks...
Do you know any good dermatologist in sydney area? I am struggling with the same issue that just gradually spread over 4 months. Does the Avene product clog pores or make the clog pores bumps in PD worse? it has mineral oil so im bit concerned. But I have a dry sensitive skin type
Ugh the steroid situation is so true. I was having PD and was told to use my desnoide steroid from my eczema on my PD. Was helping but the minute I stopped using it , way worse
Avene restorative protective cream! It’s still my go to when I feel my eyelids/under eyes getting too dry and rashy. It’s a very thick cream so super hydrating and great for sensitive skin :)
I am currently suffering from it now for the first time in my life due to using heavy active ingredients+steroids on my skin. I was wondering, after starting using Rozex, how long did it take your skin to heal or to reach to this amazing results *touch wood*?
Ahh so sorry - that’s how mine started too so atleast you know there’s light at the end of the tunnel with it! I noticed an improvement straight away but I would give it a month minimum to do its best work :)

Hey, I have perioral dermatitis and it's so frustrating 😪 Do you think Rozex is effective in treating inflammation?

Same! But my dermatologist put me back on a low dosage of Accutane to treat the perioral dermatitis. It's more of a long term solution.
@@estellelouw7155 thank you. Hopefully that works. Right now I am on doxy for a little bit.

Did your PD dissappear with the metronidazole?

Yes they could form papules (red bumps) or pustules (white heads)
Hii, does elidel cream did work out for you , is it worth using.
Did you see any side effects from it???

Avene restorative protective cream! And yesss I ended up requested the cream rather than the gel and it’s was so much better :)

I was told not to put the cream on my eyelids. Stress actually causes my flare-up and its so bad now that my eyes burn.

Hello, how long have you been using Elidel cream? Did you stop it suddenly? Did it glow when it was stopped?
I think I started to use it every other night and slowly stopped using it over a couple of weeks :)

Can you recommend an eye cream for perioral dermatitis that has spread to the eyes?
