Great song but this is the first time I’ve seen the video and it just about ruined the song lol. Just kinda dramatic but it’s a product of its time, being after 9/11. So it does have that. Either way, amazing song. And like usual, Toby delivers a great opening line, about the ol brass paperweight.
@@paulclark4071He sure accomplished his list before he went & have a long peaceful rest. This is one of my favorite song by him along with many others.
Rest in peace brother. You only lived 62 short years but lived 104 in accomplishments. Thank you for the songs written from your heart that showed us to look to the good and funny things first. Your support of our troops and First Responders will always be remembered. Your trust in God was obvious. See you on the other side.
No one lives to 124 but 104 maybe. Toby achieved an incredible body of work, raised his family, kept his band working, supported the military and First Responders, set up charities, kept up with his friends. It's exhausting to think of how busy that man was but he made it all fit.
RIP brother, I’m sitting here 4:47 am just heard the news that your in a better place and this song just opened my eyes and made me realize how blessed I am! Thank you for leaving an impact on my life, true legacy! 😭 see ya in the next life brother
This song is on point. So many people have died not taking the time to enjoy God's beautiful creations. We're not in a Pandemic anymore and this year God willing, I'm going to start living!!!
Ya I was in the hospital for two months with my heart I almost died but God definitely was with me it will be a long recovery this song is right to the point don't take life for granted love you're family as much as you can god bless Toby songs he was nice guy
R.i.p Toby your songs remind me of good memories shared with my dad who passed away in 2022 love you so much rest easy and drink a beer with my dad up there 😊
My Unit and I had the pleasure of having Lunch with Toby Keith in Mons Belgium, NATO, 2005 He was Bigger than Life and I was amazed how Nice of a Guy he was. It was like meeting an old friend. You will always be remembered Sir. Your music stays in my Truck as the best Country Singer ever.
I am in tears listening to this today . I loved this man's music , he was such a major part of me growing up. The lyrics alone, I lost a brother suddenly at 30 years old 4 years ago on Christmas. Losing Toby at 62. Start livin , that's the next thing on my list. You truly never know when your time will be up .RIH Toby Keith , thanks for all the great songs.
country music is REAL. It doesn't talk about things that dont matter, like fame and fortune, sex and drugs. Country music is the kind of music that you can let your kids listen to and not worry that it will give them bad ideas. I grew up listening to country, and I am proud to say that I still listen to 104.1 WTQR. Country runs in my blood, and forever I will be that way.
I can't believe he died so young. I remember me and my friends at like 5 years old playing I wanna talk about me with buckets and gardening tools as instruments. I remember Dad getting Mom to go back to Walmart as soon as she got home to get the CD that had Courtesy of the red white and blue on it and me and mom singing it on the way home. First time I was allowed to say a cuss word🤣. I still have that CD. I remember taking a girl on a date listening to bullets in a gun when I was a teen. When she left I remember drinking and listening to whose that man. I lost my parents, grandfather and built a good life from nothing and was listening to this just last week. He's definitely one of the greatest. So many beautiful songs and memories. RIP Toby😢 I might shed a tear tonight
Thanks so much for sharing your memories Austin - Toby was one of a kind - so thankful we have his Beautiful music, voice, and videos - we were Blessed to have him in our lives - I Love Him and will Miss Him So Very Much - Toby is an Angel in Heaven now with Jesus and his Beloved Daddy with no more pain. Rest in Peace Dear Toby❤😇💔🙏
He sure will be missed by so many! I just read down his list of music and was able to start singing almost every song. What a great artist! His music will definitely go on!! RIP TK!

In 2002, I was just 12 years old. My mother, my sister, and I went to a concert of his. We were lucky enough to be selected to go backstage and meet him. It’s nearly been 22 years since then and I can’t believe he’s gone. What I can say for certain is Toby is at peace.
This song was the first thing that went through my mind this morning learning of your passing, now I’m here in tears listening. You fought a good fight sir, may you rest easy in eternity! ❤
Toby, I'm sitting here reminiscing on all your songs and talent you shared w this country. Thank you for all you've done in your short years here on earth. You did it man! You made a BIG Impact on many lives. May your family continue to be blessed by your good works. RIP! 🩷💔🩷
This is one of Toby's best. Im now 62 and have been listening to him for 30 years. All of his songs have touched me thru out my life. God Bless you Toby❤❤❤❤
I was in a drug treatment facility when I came across this song. Someone had left a mixed cd there and this was on it. It gave me hope. Fast foreward 8 1/2 years and I’m still clean and this song is still in my rotation. Rest easy brother
What a loss. This song, when it came out, is what got me hooked to anything Toby Keith released. I hope wherever he is, he’s riding a pony on a cattle drive and he’s free of pain and happy. RIP Toby.
I was in the service and a first responder for 30 years. My pseudo father was a fire fighter. He collected and restored antique firetrucks. He always carried a list in his pocket of things he wanted to get done. This song makes me think of him. He loved Toby's music and would play it when we were in the trucks going to parades or shows. Incredible the good memories a song can invoke. RIP Mr. Keith and prayers to your family in their time of loss.
He's was such a talented writer and singer, with so many hits. I believe that his passing hit me so hard, partly it shows how short life is, but also how little time I have left.
I saw the title and was like "What the heck? I've never heard this one" Started it and went "Oh my goodness; it's been so many years since I heard this!"
Still having a hard time coming to terms with him being gone. My first country music crush 💔 This is my #1 favorite song by this beautiful man ❤️ rest in peace and fly high cowboy, we’ll see you again someday!
This song was one tune that I‘m glad I rediscovered since it reminds. me of what‘s really a priority in our crazy digital society. Hope heaven appreciates Toby as much as we all do. ☦️💜🌎
Just makes you realise how many things we wrongly prioritize. Love and family should always come first. Not the little things that make us different. Not money that we're too busy trying to earn to spend
Yes I live a pretty simple life first god then family I'm not into the all modern things I'm happy person. People you need to realize that money doesn't make you happy
I heard this song after spending 3 years in and out of homeless shelters and living on the streets. His whole album got me through one of the worst times in my life. If there are any men out there going through something similar, hang in there and don't fucking give up. Keep listening to Toby Keith too
I first heard this song 15 years ago when it first came out. It really hit home as I was going through a lot at the time. As an ADHDer and with mental health issues, "The List" has key elements in the lyrics for daily survival. Lists to remember and stay on task, live with the real needs of life, prioritize what is important, etc., do today what needs to be done, NOT what you want to do, be with people that are special in you life. The melody also had a soothing effect, while relaying the message. Also, at this time, my wife lost her 5-year battle with breast cancer. Something I cannot reclaim back. Toby Keith was a blessing and genius in his song writing. So sorry he is no longer with us. RIP
I've tried to listen to the current stuff out there - it is just not happening for me. Still love the country music of the 90s. For me, that was the best.
You were such a big part of our lives Toby. Your songs playing on the radio as we were driving and singing along….slow dancing…. Arguments ending when one of your love songs started playing and reminded us what is important….the laughter at wanna talk about me. RIP Toby Thank you for the memories ❤
After being diagnosed with Accute Kidney Disease back in January. I took a good hard look at my own life. I realized as I was alone in that hospital bed how fast things can change. Upon release and, some recovery time at home I set out working on my relationships. It's going to be a long hard road but, I'll get there eventually.
This..song... Might have just saved my life...I know it's an older song Toby has a way of "delivering"... it's time "to start livin... That's the next thing on my list "
"It wouldn't change the course of fate if cutting the grass just had to wait" that's my way of life. I don't overwork myself and I'm happier because of it
If you listen to the words, it really means so much. Let's not sweat the small stuff, tend to the important things in life. This song makes a lot of sense. Thanks for this beautiful music, Toby.

This song means so much more now, than ever. I'm late, but today I found out he passed in February. Did not know, start living that's the next thing on my list. Rest in Heaven, Mr. Keith😢
This one of my favorite of his songs. RIP. He passed while my significant other partner of 13 years had a stroke. He died died 2 months later. This songs reminds me how something are more important time is short.
This song ,"My List", had so much meaning to my life. Thank you Toby Keith for reaching to my heart. Although I have the ability to listen to your music, I will never know what you could have done in the future. God Bless and Rest in Peace!
I really wish country music was like this again. Like what david Allen Coe said "Make folks feel what you feel inside" this song does exactly that. And a good reminder.
Toby Keith is with out a doubt one of the GOATS in country music. I love this song! I love his music! Damn near know every song he has ever made, word for word. Im heartbroken. This one definitely hurts. It sure as hell isnt easy to accept, but you can guarantee I'll do my part to make sure his music thrives for generations to come. R.I.P Toby Keith. Thank you for blessing us with your music brother.
Cherish the moments in life that you have, you can’t explain to yourself why you didn’t when the time comes, because when it comes it’s to late and regret is all you’ll have. Quoted by Me.
Yeah, needed this today (9-15-24)! Great & Good is timeless. This video (w/CC on for lyrics), visual and audio are a reminder & reboot for me on priorities...to '...start LIVING AGAIN!' Music, singers-musicians-songwriters, are GOOD MEDICINE! Thanks for A L L of Toby Keith's songs through so many years, tears and for the GOOD TIMES of the past, present and future! Bless you & yours.💚
Im here 9•2024 as well 🙂 I grew up on Toby Keith so lota of his music is in my playlist.. My son is only 8 yrs old and Toby Keith was/is one of his favorite artists. He darn near cried when i told him Toby died😢. He likes to go outside before bed for "fresh air" it helps him sleep. Tonight he said "mama, can i go out and TAKE A DEEP BREATH of air?" It reminded me of this song. I havent heard this one in quite a while but its the firat thing i thought of when he said that and i instantly started singing "go for a walk, say a little prayer, take a deep breath of mountain air" and my son looked at me like i had ten heads and said HUUHHHHH???? 😂 I told him its a song by -and as soon as i said- Toby Keith, he wanted to hear it. So he fell asleep listenning to this tonight after taking his deep breath of (NOT mountain) air 🙂
One of the most underrated songs ever..... I'm not the biggest country person, even though I live in Houston, but this song is one of my favorite songs ever. It's important to know the little things are what really matter in life. Love this song
Best wishes to you on your fight, I had cancer 6 six years ago and the fight was so hard but you have a great sort of support behind you like I did, lots of love and hugs!!
He was a TRUE American thanks for all the trips you done overseas for our troops. RIP brother sure wish I could’ve met you and had a beer with you. Maybe in our next life🙏🏼💪🏼
THANK YOU FOR YOUR MUSIC AND YOUR DEVOTION TO OUR GREAT NATION!!! 💔💔💔 OUR HEARTS ARE BREAKING BECAUSE WE HAVE LOST NOT ONLY A GREAT PATRIOTIC AMERICAN, BUT WE'VE LOST THE GREATEST COUNTRY MUSIC ICON AMERICA HAS SEEN IN A LONG TIME!!!! WE KNOW THRU YOUR FAITH THAT YOUR SUFFERING HAS ENDED AND YOU ARE REUNITED WITH YOUR DEARLY DEPARTED LOVED ONES AND HAVE A GLORIFIED NEW BODY REJOICING IN THE LORD!!!!! NO MORE CANCER!!!!!!
When I got the sad news yesterday morning, this country music classic was the first Toby Keith song I thought about. RIP Toby. You lived life to life to the fullest.
My favorite Toby Keith song. Reminds me of my Grandpa and I coming home from hunting singing this song when it came out on the radio. RIP Grandpa and Toby. Thank you both for the timeless memories ❤
Rest in Peace Toby. The older I get, the more that this will go down as one of my favorite songs.
Became a top ten for me of all time and I'm a metal head 😢
Great song but this is the first time I’ve seen the video and it just about ruined the song lol. Just kinda dramatic but it’s a product of its time, being after 9/11. So it does have that. Either way, amazing song. And like usual, Toby delivers a great opening line, about the ol brass paperweight.

What does the 104 represent?
@@Vault01 he’s just saying he only lived to 64 but accomplished everything a 104 year old would have
@@lathenmegginson5452 oh okay, 104 just seemed like a very random/specific number lol, wasn’t sure if it there was a deeper meaning to 104. Thanks

Yes. People need to watch his videos if they need a laugh. Some of his videos are hilarious.😂
He really was talented at songwriting and performing.

This one definitely hurts. It sure as hell isnt easy to accept, but you can guarantee I'll do my part to make sure his music thrives for generations to come. R.I.P Toby Keith. Thank you for blessing us with your music brother.
This song changed my whole life and the way I looked at family and work.
One of my favorite songs from Toby Keith. One of my brothers met him when he was deployed to Iraq. Blessed be Toby 's memory
This song sure hits different! You fought hard sir! Oklahoma is surely in mourning
Cherish the moments in life that you have, you can’t explain to yourself why you didn’t when the time comes, because when it comes it’s to late and regret is all you’ll have.

Im here 9•2024 as well 🙂
I grew up on Toby Keith so lota of his music is in my playlist.. 😂
I told him its a song by -and as soon as i said- Toby Keith, he wanted to hear it.
