My advice with the cup ring trim is to double up the 3m tape 6:45. Mine didn't stick well the first try but then I added a second layer of tape and it's still holding strong.

I’m changing some of my interior chrome pieces in TRD Red.
My 23 TRD Off Road is White. On the horizon I’m having my Tacoma 2 toned in Barcelona Red following the lower body lines. I 2 toned my last truck and got a LOT of compliments.
Right after I bought my Tacoma, my wife asked me how quickly I was going to 2 tone my TRD, as she loved my old truck after it was 2 toned.

One of my 4wheeling buddies has a Taco identical to the one on this video.
When I first started looking for a 23 TRD Off Road 6’ bed double cab I was looking for 3 different colors that had the premium and technology pkgs.
I was looking for an Ice Cap White, Barcelona Red or the Lunar Rock.
I was very specific on what I wanted because I plan on driving my Tacoma for the rest of my life.
After 9 months of looking across Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon, I finally found mine 45 minutes from my house.
It belonged to our local dealership. It had 6K miles on it as it was the Owners pickup.
I bought it $4K below book price at the time I bought it.
Knew the MSRP was almost $55K.
When I bought it the book was $51,848 and I bought it for $48K.
I bought it on 2/29/24. I had the choice of the 23 or the new 24, which was identical to the 23.
I purposefully chose the 23 Only because it has the proven reliable and durable 3.5L Naturally Aspirated (NA) V6.
Historically a Turbo gasoline powered engine simply doesn’t last as long as a NA engine.
My last Toyota had the same 3.5L V6 that I put over 300K miles on it. I sold it to a friend of mine who has now owned it for 2 years and it still doesn’t burn any oil.
I’m retired and I drive 6-7K miles a year, so at my age, I’m confident that I’ll be driving my Tacoma until either I can no p longer drive or I’m dead. After I’m gone, I’m sure my wife will keep it for light duty work around our property.
During my first week of ownership I installed a K&N cold air intake and a Flowmaster FlowFX dual exhaust.
At the end of May I’m having an Overland Torque Tune installed.
Next year I’m having Katzkin make TRD red Leather seat covers.
After Katzkin removes my black factory leather seat covers from my truck and installs the TRD Red Leather, my friend who has the Lunar Rock TRD is having his cloth seat covers taken off and replaced with my black leather.
After the new Leather is installed I’m having my truck 2 toned and pinstriped.
I’ve already installed mud flaps, window vents and tinted windows.
After all of this is completed I’ll be selling my running boards and having power running boards installed, along with Add a Leaf to the rear suspension.
The last upgrade will be a set of chrome wheels.
Skid plates from the front to the rear differential has already been completed, including the transmission plate that also covers the catalytic converters.
My last truck was a 1 of a kind and I plan on getting my Tacoma to a 1 of a kind as well.
