old fashioned donuts used to be this crunchy. a couple years ago, these were still around more often I think and I ate them and they were this crunchy. they were nothing like cookies
Sounds like you've been living under a rock or you're still a kid... no way you've lived to be an adult, yet still not once seen these classic donuts in your lifetime....these may not be as common today, but even a decade ago they were still a staple in all donut shops. Tbh, mine still make these. 🤔

@@f.justf.7230old fashioned donuts are indeed crunchy, but they are old fashioned because they use a chemical leavener. This man very clearly made a cookie recipe, old fashioned dough does not come out that thick nor would you need to roll it out and press cut molds the same way he has done.

Dry ingredients :
175 g cake flour
70 g sugar
20 g pure cocoa powder
Wet ingredients :
40g unsalted butter
1 egg
Thats all :D
* I recommend to decrease the sugar amount,if you're not a sweet-tooth lol. Maybe like 50-60 g? And also add salt a lil bit just to balance the flavor. This is my suggestions tho :D
