Isn’t it delightful to see the beasties skipping about and kicking up their happy heels .thank you for this great video❤
Wow! Those Heifers can really move!
Your cows were going, “Yippee!”
I know exactly how those cows feel, kicking up heels in Spring.
Those heifers seem happy to be out in the green pasture!

I just wish he would tell us what he does in his spare time!🤣
He probably doesn't get much spare time, joys of been a farmer be as self sufficient as you can be, farmers can do alot of jobs by themselves
@@paulholmes3366 OMG, that was clearly a joke, hence the laughing emoji🙄
Thank you, if I can do half of those things properly I’d be happy enough 🤣.
@@CB-xr1eg what spare time? Does the man even sleep?
Adrian that Honda quad is some job! Great content as usual. All the best
Gorgeous green pastures
Lovely to see cattle out enjoying their freedom, grand time of year if weather behaved
Great video well done
Great video Adrian. Just made my first Holy Communion yesterday 🥳
Congratulations lad
Grazing conditions are awful everywhere adrian even on drier farms great video
Great to have help Adrian 👍
Here is hoping you will dry out soon. Good to see the cows run and play. Thank you for sharing.🐄
Great show Sir. Hoping fir a great year.
Hi Adrian regarding your copper pipe fittings. The old pipe is imperial (1/2 inch or 3/4 inch) new pipe is 15mm or 22mm. The 15mm fittings will fit 1/2 inch pipe and fittings but the 22mm you can get olives that will fit the old pipe into the new fittings I hope I have explained this clearly. Using the olives to the 22mm fitting will save having to renew the pipe when doing repairs. Good lunch. Great video as usual.
So much fun watching the girls kick up their heels on their way down the fields ! Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the cottage..
Mighty stuff bringing the house up to scratch, remember you can get a grant to do the work
Another great video. No better pleasure than getting cows out to their first grass 😆
Great to see the heifer lumps galloping out on the grass.
Good luck .
I hope the woozels stay away! 😂
@@kerseykrewzoo And the snadgers!
I’m so happy you’re going to have time for the cottage now. I can’t wait to see what you do to it.🤗
The cows looked so happy running in their new field!🤗❤️🐝
Cracking video as always. Good to see the heifers out healthy and happy
The cottage should be eligible for the €70k derelict house renovation Grant & from 1st may you're allowed to get the grant even if you're going to rent it out after it's renovated.
That sounds like an amazing opportunity! Thanks for sharing to help our farm friends! I wish we had something like that in the US.
Yes we’ll definitely be looking down those lines if it’s available to us for sure Aidan
I really enjoyed seeing the happy cows. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the cottage. Love getting to see your girls out with their dad. Such a beautiful family. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Donna
@@IFarmWeFarm 😁
never knew cows could run that fast
Never seen happier cows to get out! ❤
Adrian, I appreciate the need for grass and the pressures of modern farming but every bit of bog left to nature is a massive bonus to our ecology in Ireland. Spoken as a countryside loving hunting man.
I agree with you fully Jonathan, I don’t have any intention of touching the bog itself, that other part was always grassland just very uneven so that’s why we levelled it out. Lots of bogs in n our area thankfully, plenty of snipe and woodcock
Great sight to see the heifers out Adrian 👍👌
The gals are a joy to watch. You explain stuff very well
Just in time for my morning brew perfect timing Adrian 🎉
Nice to hear that you will keep the old cottage alive for another couple of generation's. Wthl all of ur daughters you will need to keep building every few year ya have to supply accomodation for the free workforce 😂😂😂😂
Love your way explaining everything
Always love watching Cowes get out on the grass after being in doors for the winter, nice seeing the girls out thier with there dad. 👍 Can't wait to see what plans the architects come up with, the cottage really lends itself to being an Airbnb. It would make a lovely money earner for the farm. 🤗
Great video . Great to see your girls helping out and learning how to tackle jobs like testing fence and cleaning barn with out being told to by themselves . Love your sense of humor teasing little one about bird trying to get her for talking about John Deere.
Will love when you start renovating the cottage. But what brought me to your channel was what you do everyday which is everything around the farm that you need to do. Love watching your videos! ❤
Thank you, we all appreciate you brother
Another great video Adrian the girls are a good help for you 👍👍
Clips on front of your quad holding the metal stakes ,brilliant
They certainly were happy to get out, looking forward to your cottage reno. thank you
Love watching the brains of this operation‼️✔️WELL DONE…
👀🙄🐾👍Livestock is looking well
We use square shaped buckets to clean out the troughs, much easier to scrape out what is in the bottom, find that the buckets for the mineral licks are ideal. . always keep some buckets near the drinking troughs during the year in order to clean them out. have had issues with cocsidoisous in the calves due to droppings in the water. Always amazes me how much crap ends up in them. the news ones have a plug to drain them but eh older ones dont.
Love watching cows at play.
Best of luck with all the jobs on your farm ahead 👍👍👍
Another awesome video Adrian! Cant wait to see wgat you do with rhe little cottage! ❤
Phew! I’m tired just listening to your list of jobs!👍☘️
That was great I’ve never seen excited cows before ❤
Water troughs are very simple to clean out. All you need is a bucket 🪣 that’s the right size for the right type of water trough.
Great video Adrian. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼
yay cottage update
Great vid sir... Nice seeing the pressure relief for you you can tell .... stay safe 🏴
Great video Adrian as always 👌
3:00 them their cows know exactly where to go ...at speed. :)))
That's what you call fast food!
Adrian . Have you details on the pipe cutter and the two connector spanners you use
That’s just standard pipe cutters sean, and them plastic wrenches are philpmac poly wrenches, there ok but a set of pipe wrenches are better. Them things can be got in most hardware places lad
Good video as usual Adrian, girls are a big help now you can see that, I love seeing the beast just out running mad just give you a good feeling don't know why, is that next doors horse in the field opposite the cottage, I can't wait to see the cottage all finished, its a big job for you to undertake but it will be very interesting, good luck to you all till next time
Good man, quality as ever
The cottage would make a lovely holiday home, I'd stay there for the view amd surroundings. But more importantly it would make a fantastic rental for a local working family.
Yes an Air B&B is what we are thinking and a potential place to retire one day
@@IFarmWeFarm It will pay for itself in no time. I'm not a fan of Air BnB and their model - a scourge on the local rental society. It turned swathes of the UK seaside towns into ghost towns out of season.
Great video keep it going 😊
Great stuff, don’t forget to apply for the derelict renovation grant 👍🏻
Dandelions, the universal flower.
Great video Adrian Great stock
There is good green Grass there for them
Well Adrian bet you are looking forward to mowing session
Need to get yourself one of the milwaukee water pumps to clear water tanks
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Looking forward to seeing plans for the cottage.
Good man get them out
You better mind yourself next time you see herself coming near you with the brush in her hand.🤠👍
Not like you to forget a water pipe Adrian. 😮
you should make a playlist with all the cottage videos in one place it might bring in more views for people wanting to follow that
That’s a good idea lad, I will do as there’ll be hopefully plenty on updates on it coming soon
@IFarm WeFarm yea like tons of channels do that they will have all separate ones for all the subjects they might cover so like if you want your advice and experience to be easier for people to find its in one playlist like stuff about cattle stuff about milking, good luck great to see some Irish channels 👍
Definitely look into the derelict house grant, think its up to 70k now
Well Adrian, how u keeping great land, plenty grass, lovely video weather getting a bit warmer, , Chat soon kieran from Laghey donegal town
From memory 1/2 in pipe could be fix with 15 mm
Non farmer here so please forgive this question…. But what have you hanging above the cows ? Looks like branches ! Love the channel btw !!
That’s male holly mate, as it dies off it produces an anti fungal agent that in turn kills or prevent ringworm on cattle. I viewer told us about it and so fare it 100% works
Yes Adrian where did you get the 2 blue spanner’s for fittings could really do with a pair cheers
There PhilMac Y Wrenches Dillon, there ok but no replacement for a good set of pipe wrenches
Good video
Brilliant watching the heifers get out to grass. Super reaction.
Looking forward to seeing the "bog" field getting drained. 🖒
Would you consider multi species with some chicory Adrian, make for a great grazing paddock.
Be glad just to be able to get any seed in the ground at this stage lad, we can’t plough after the 31th of may due to these new derogation rules of may so times against us to get it done
@@IFarmWeFarm I didn't know about new regulations. Is it a good or bad thing in your opinion? I don't know anything about it.
Hey Adrian, Enjoyed the video as always. Ever think of throwing a google satellite image in the video when you are describing fields in the video(obviously without compromising your privacy). Might make it easier to visualize than trying to follow which direction the camera is pointing. Just a thought.
Unfortunately it might attract unwanted attention too lad, it’s a good idea but we try not to give our exact location if possible
Completely understand, just thought you might be able to zoom in enough that it wouldn’t compromise your location.
Six days shall thou labour and on the seventh you do odd jobs , a farmers work is never done Adrian , thanks for the vid .
Loads of respect for all you do… taught me loads… but please remember to leave the wild things an acre or two… if you improve every bit of the farm (and you’re a tremendous man for that) there won’t be much wildlife left…the stats on insect and bird declines are awful and it’s because we are all tidying and improving every acre!
Not having a dig, but those wetland bits look great wader habitat and anyone hiring the cottage would be thrilled to see wetlands full of birds down there
Well James, I agree with you there. We don’t have any intention of touching the bog area, that area we are working on was always grassland just very rough.
I do enjoy watching the wildlife that thrives in them areas
I'm going to have to find some of those connectors over here in the US. They look a good job!
PhilMac fittings, very popular. The US is bound to have them or something similar
The calves running made me think how did that sick heifer ever turn out.? I remember you posted someone had called in on the radio asking about her.
0715 I think was her number, that calf had coccidiosis and after a few treatments it fully recovered and is now in the parlour milking today. Rumen fluke was an issue that year as well
I didn’t know cows could run so fast😂😂😂
Tell the next one I watch you then 👍🏻
Them is good fresion heifers
I saw the horse across the road when you unloaded the cows. Do you have many horses in your area? Where and how to you get your water? Did you ever get the real history of your cottage project? Thank you Adrian.
That’s a neighbours horse, no there would be too many horses about here, my sister used to breed them but they got out of them years ago. Yes will share more history on it as time goes on lad.
Your girls are spoilt, growing up we only had blade of grass test for electric fences, learnt that when I was about 8, no fancy gadgets.
Yess…..first!!!!💪
Over here in England if the building is over a set Time in years you don’t need planning for mission you can just do what you want with it I might be wrong
Is it the same over there
Same here Ricky, but I’ll no more on all that when our architect gets out to see it
Thanks for the update on the cottage. Do you need a drain on those wet spaces or maybe you have some already
Lots of drains to be added this year Ronald, just need some dry weather to be able to get that work done
Is that holly hangin from he roof in the byre?
Yes, it’s help do away with ringworm on cattle. As it dies off an anti fungal agent gets released. Works great
Adrian, What is the make/name of the holder where you carry your fence posts on the bike.
I don’t seem to be able to find one the same that hinges, I can only find ones that are fixed.
That’s them there lad
Kolpin Ratcheting Rhino Grip - 21540 (Pair), Black a.co/d/07mW753
At 3:25 The Cavan Grand National took place.
Will you apply for the Vacant house refurbishment grant ?
We hope too, our architect will be able to advise us on all we he calls out. I’ll update on that as we go along
Will you use the plastic pipe for the drainage or will you use a more traditional system of clay pipes ?
Clay pipes are nearly done away with nowadays Earle, all perforated pipes now which work better if done right. But there’s a lot of clay pipes running through our land yet
I want work with your farm
Would you prefer the older philmac fittings with the inserts or the newer type? I rather the older type myself.
Ah the newer version for me Martin, much faster. The older ones were probably better made though
Great video and cant wait to see what ya have planned for the cottage. Where did you get them tighter for the plastic fittings
Maudabawn Co.Opp, but you can get them in any hardware place Bernard. There called PhilMac Y Wrenches
There look vry handy
Who's jerry? Is it Jerry 6420?
Many cows do u milk on u farm
What is the name of the tools you have for cutting pipes and tightening the joiner
pipe cutter and joint tightener. 👌😂
The 2 blue yokes for tightening the fittings are philmac y spanners
Y Spanners from PhilMac Killian, there ok but no replacement for good pipe wrenches. The other is just standard pipe cutters lad
Where did you get the blue pigtails never seen them before is it a new product?
I only seen them recently, Maudabawn Co.Opp has them. There heavier and much stronger than the white ones, really like them
