CyberZilla is a similar case, this version being the corpse of the 1998 Zilla with cybernetic enhancements covering its body, turning it into a half mechanical/half organic kaiju.

Oh and Heisei Mecha-Godzilla is made using parts of the future-tech cybernetics from Mecha-Ghidorah! Yeah, AFAIK Mecha-Godzilla didn't have any organic parts in Heisei, but it's still connected to an organic being.
According to some old interviews the creators said that as long as the monsters were sufficiently monstrous and inhuman they could have more violent kills
