The Leviathan is possibly my favorite episode of this series. It was so spooky and mysterious. I always love the part when they first see the ship and dock inside it.
Plus, a great performance by the late Kenneth Mars as the alien-sympathizing doctor. Not Sopler and/or Hoffman, the one that sacrificed himself in the Leviathan.
If the aliens were going for an all-out attack on Earth, fine, but controlling Godzilla to make him do terrible deeds and resurrecting his dead, evil parent to make him go through an emotional dilemma, that's crossing too much of a line. It hurts me seeing Godzilla go through this. I can't bear to to see him hurt.😢

This series deserves a new version but for adults,this is too censored. Nobody actually believes these monsters were just destroying cities and not feeding on humans anyway. You can even see Godzilla eating fish.
I can imagine just when you think the aliens successfully invaded Earth, Titanus Gojira (Monsterverse Godzilla) wakes up from his slumber to challenge Zilla Jr. and the other Kaiju to a battle.
Imagine if the final episode of the series was the aliens trying to conquer Earth again with their own army of monsters, and Godzilla Jr leads the other mutations into battle. That'd be epic

This serves as a reminder as to how much better Godzilla: The Series was than the original 1998 movie. It’s worthy of the name.
That is why after naming the Movie Monster as Zilla, the son in the animated series was accepted as Godzilla by TOHO.
