Completely Transforming My BMW E30 With 3M Undercoating

In this video we clean and prep my 1991 BMW E30 for a 3M undercoating. This was a process I have been extremely excited to tackle for a very long time. The undercarriage of the car was in general great shape, with a couple areas needing addressing. So that is what I did, removed any rust, applied one of my favourite products which is POR15, scuffed the whole undercarriage, and finished it off with layers of 3M undercoating which has been recommended and trusted by a number of body shops that I look up to. Now? We have a fully prepped undercarriage ready to have an outrageous amount of shiny parts and money stuck to the bottom of it. You love to see it. Thank you guys for watching!

Sounds like a messy and difficult job to do when you think about it, and so would say all those I've seen trying on UA-cam, yet you make it so peaceful and satisfying to watch! Your camera job has been on another level lately, the intro is a work of art 👌
I think that my ultimate dream currently would be to have a workshop like yours, with tons of space and equipment to restore vintage OEM+ BMWs or japanese cars down to the bare chassis. (then I remember I live in a small apartment, and just got my E36 323ti's sills poorly undercoated again because rust always come back... hope one day it can get properly treated like one of your cars! )

Abtut those cans, i forgot the name. If you drill a hole inside the lid and pour out the amount you need and then put a screw inside the hole, ist is supposed to hold much longer.

I thought that stuff was bad because it traps moisture between it and the metal. I know por 15 is great but didn't know you could put anything over it except the topcoat
YOU thought or you heard from some shmuck? Most opinions on this time of work are very bad. This was taken from two shops that lead in restoration of these specific cars
@@ChromaticGarage uh no.... this is just me asking. Again, I thought the only thing you could put over por 15 base coat was the por-15 top coat. But since this method is coming from restoration shops I'll keep it in mind 👍🏾
