Another thing that I don’t understand is how Long Haul and Skipjack are on the ledge above everyone else, but after the arms are put together and it pans over to Long Haul, he is in his vehicle form in front of them all, begins transformation, and somehow gets behind all of them into position along with Skipjack. Same with Over Load, he was in the front next to Mixmaster and still managed to get behind them all to get with the legs. And why does Scrapper have green on him near the elbow? Nothing about their formation makes any sense !!!! It’s driving me mad, mentally and emotionally, sure the scene is epic and all but I think it would be better if they all actually had a position that made sense to where they actually went together instead of teleporting.
Damn the only thing I noticed at first was that somehow long haul was all the way in the front, only to somehow telaport behind the main body to form the leg. But these are all very good points
also the fact that there are multiple long hauls and rampages/scrappers in other bits of the fight while devastator is active and another mixmaster that jetfire kills and it's like... if you have multiple constructicons, why not make another devastator when the first one dies and keep it low so the railgun can't hit it
Look at some of the older cgi scenes that use a different design. This transformation is the result of a rushed product, with an unclear number of vehicles and their positions.
One thing I absolutely hated was that while Devastator was wrecking havok, some of the Constructicons that are part of him were in the village hunting Sam
Some of the Constructicons have a few stand-ins for Devastator in the event that the originals cannot combine. For example Scavenger's stand in (The big red and white excavator in the center) Demolisher, was seen and killed at the beginning of the movie.
@@hallowedknight234 the best theory I have in mind are those are Constructicon clones and not the actual ones. They were just used as foot soldiers. And as for Demolisher and Rampage, they are considered as filler Constructicons, meaning that if Skipjack and Scavenger (the Constructicons that formed Devastator onscreen) were ever absent, they could just take their places.
@@jonathanbacenty6485 Your theory is correct. While transformers are sentient beings, like all machines they all come in types & models. The prime example being the tank from the first movie. He was given the name Brawl, but preferred the name Devastator, as his specific model was that of a devastator-class, which could be replicated and cloned. In the 3rd movie, there is a tan clone of him who gets destroyed when Optimus joins the fight. The constructicons are no different. Only the greatest beings like Optimus and Megatron are one of a kind.
Say what you will about this franchise, but this film and the first Transformers has some of the best CGI out there, especially considering how these films came out in 2007 and 2009
Not as good as Daniel saying "Kup, Hotrod look!" Kup climbs up ladder and looks with horror: "Its Devastor." Devastor commences destroying Autobot City.
How this did not win best sound mixing and sound effects is beyond me. Does anyone think of The Hurt Locker and think, best sound? Also not even nominated for best visual effects is insane.
yes actually, and i hate the hurt locker. but its sound design is very important to the tension of the scenes in the movie. and as much as i dislike the hurt locker, i dislike this film more and a lot of people share the opinion that this is a bad movie so that probably had a lot to do with it
Playing this video on loop just for the sound effects! .. When I work out I listen to this sound effect and imagine myself as devastator and get goosebumps and push further!
Haah ya... I cut a lot but I had to leave that in... he's got a funny character that progresses throughout the films. In the third one he's like a Hugh Hefner type it's pretty funny...
If anyones wondering how Mudflap(the red twin) survived,I made a theory that Devastator was made to *devastate* buildings and whatnot, just basic materials like metal, concrete, etc. But the thing is, Mudflaps made of Cybertronian metal. Or cybermatter as i'd like to call it (never calling it transformium) so the blades couldn't shred him and if you look closely when he gets *succed* his car door gets jammed in the saw (or atleast the cybermatter parts. The glass probably got shredded) hence why Mudflao was able to survive
@@Blunts1Fan Ya.. it was The Shit! .. But it basically spoiled us with premium film cuts. . That's pretty much why I started this channel : I go for the absolute top quality possible (consumer level). I cut from Disk but even then it has to be re-encoded twice : once after editing and then again by youtube that converts it...
I have to say, there is something wildly fascinating watching these Constructicons combining into Devastator. Like, you know they all come together. But it's the "how" they come together that is interesting to watch.
You can practically hear the gears turning in agent simmons head when he sees them transforming together into a bigger vehicle form Why they all coming together and transforming. From vehicle modes to vehicle mode if they already transform into robots themselves And then it hits him oh shit oh shit we are so fucking fucked their turnng into a bigger cue running away in a screaming panic lmao that is funny
I will never understand why do some people only care about the freaking damn script writing? The script writing is not always the most important one it's the action that really makes the movie amazing any true transformers fan already know that the transformers franchise is not known for its stories it's more known for the amazing transformers fighting each other I never cared for the story writing I have always liked Michael Bay because he makes the most amazing action-packed movies 😍
One of the many problems of these movies is the fact that they undersell the bad guys frequently... Devastator was extremely badass and threatening, and yet they had Skids and Mudflap of all people giving him hella trouble
I need to see this movie again. Last I saw it I was a child. This was always wanna of the coolest designs to me, since he was just multiple depticons put together to create one massive robot.
I always wondered if the constructions could still feel when they were combined. Like, could Hightower feel Skids & Mudflap when they were balanced on his wire?
Man I saw this movie and it was awesome especially seeing a character in a Transformers movie that we haven't seen in a said film in at the time this came out in 2009 23 years since the G1 Transformers movie that came out in 1986.

also the fact that there are multiple long hauls and rampages/scrappers in other bits of the fight while devastator is active and another mixmaster that jetfire kills and it's like... if you have multiple constructicons, why not make another devastator when the first one dies and keep it low so the railgun can't hit it
@@dankerbell devastator was too hard to render, it made one of the computers explode. So I don't think the directors want another fried computer
Look at some of the older cgi scenes that use a different design. This transformation is the result of a rushed product, with an unclear number of vehicles and their positions.
Skipjack was never part of devestator
arguably the best CGI for 2009 IMO. The fucking nostalgia bro.. I cant. goosebumps and chills
I remember back in high school where we all watch this movie
We were talking about it every time we have a break god I miss those days
The CGI in the transformer movies we’re beautiful
*1:19*
*Devastator activates it’s main function*
I dont know if this is the greatest scene in all of the Transformers franchise but one thing is for sure. It is in the top 2 with Arrival to Earth
Yeah but explain the two scrappers, mixmasters and long hauls
@@hallowedknight234 the best theory I have in mind are those are Constructicon clones and not the actual ones. They were just used as foot soldiers. And as for Demolisher and Rampage, they are considered as filler Constructicons, meaning that if Skipjack and Scavenger (the Constructicons that formed Devastator onscreen) were ever absent, they could just take their places.
Actually it's part of the lore some of the constructions has clones like long haul, scrapper
@@jonathanbacenty6485
Your theory is correct. Only the greatest beings like Optimus and Megatron are one of a kind.
sound design is INSANE.
watching this on theatre was pure jam
Those transformation are SO BADASS
that's why I ALWAYS LOVED transformers
same
1:21 its moment when im hungry
3:07 " Aw man, you shot me in the face!" 😝
Funny lmao
Loved this damn trilogy..ahh childhood memories
Now that 4K is a thing I can finally see what Michael Bay made, I think this is what we needed for his movies
Say what you will about this franchise, but this film and the first Transformers has some of the best CGI out there, especially considering how these films came out in 2007 and 2009
I watched this movie over 100 times
Una de las mejores escenas de todas las películas, no hay lugar para discutir eso
El devastador literalmente derritio una computadora y hizo explotar otra por lo detallado que es
CGI was always the best things about the Bayverse.
The writing, characters, and plot? Not so much.
I like how you can actually hear devastator powering up when he was being assembled
Am I the only one who feels bad for the goat
Don’t worry the goat was fine
@@willg9840 movie-verse no
The CGI on decepticons are so good that I feel bad when they get destroyed
this iteration of devastator has got to be one of the best things that's ever come out of the bayverse
1:22
Me at 2 am eating every single existing comestible in the kitchen:
Not as good as Daniel saying "Kup, Hotrod look!"
Kup climbs up ladder and looks with horror: "Its Devastor." Devastor commences destroying Autobot City.
Decepticons always get the cool stuff like Driller and Devastator
1:10
“Devastator!”
“WHAAATGH!!”
1:20 my favorite part
Destroy anything in his past
Some of the best CGI of all time
How this did not win best sound mixing and sound effects is beyond me. Does anyone think of The Hurt Locker and think, best sound?
Also not even nominated for best visual effects is insane.
yes actually, and i hate the hurt locker. but its sound design is very important to the tension of the scenes in the movie. and as much as i dislike the hurt locker, i dislike this film more and a lot of people share the opinion that this is a bad movie so that probably had a lot to do with it
The stories in these movies allways sucked but the cgi is allways spetacular.
just the whirring sound gave me nostalgic chills.
Playing this video on loop just for the sound effects! .. When I work out I listen to this sound effect and imagine myself as devastator and get goosebumps and push further!
A lot of people died
Haah ya... I cut a lot but I had to leave that in... he's got a funny character that progresses throughout the films. In the third one he's like a Hugh Hefner type it's pretty funny...
*Transforming noises*
It's been 14 years since his live-action debut and his combining animation is still one of the best effing animations I've ever watched.
Devastator was so powerful, that he Devastated the PC's he was made on, they had to use multiple just to handle his insane detail.
The glass probably got shredded) hence why Mudflao was able to survive
devastator should've been made to shred transformers considering that he's... a transformer
1:39 I like that line
You can criticize this movie all you want. But their commitment to good CGI has to be praised. This guy right here cost them a whole ass PC
This is why i still enjoy these movies: fun, cool looking, and utterly stupid.
Growing up with these movies this one terrified me me with the transformation because the sound was made me feel like everyone was going to die
Imagine you see 9 construction vehicles pull up near you and you hear this 0:24
Possibly the best scene in the entire movie I was hyped when this scene came on.
Ya... I manage to see it on IMAX like 10 time or more ( I stop counting at 10 )... Tickets were only 7$ and I was on break and bored...
@@RAZR_Channel ohh nice I wish I could’ve watched in imax also I bet it was awesome.
You can practically hear the gears turning in agent simmons head when he sees them transforming together into a bigger vehicle form
Why they all coming together and transforming. From vehicle modes to vehicle mode if they already transform into robots themselves
And then it hits him oh shit oh shit we are so fucking fucked their turnng into a bigger cue running away in a screaming panic lmao that is funny
"Mean robot succ" LMAOOOOOOOOO
One of the many problems of these movies is the fact that they undersell the bad guys frequently... Devastator was extremely badass and threatening, and yet they had Skids and Mudflap of all people giving him hella trouble
Ya... megatron was only somewhat scary in the 1st one... the rest... he's a sideshow at best with all focus on Optimus...
What a really cool scene and incredible depiction of Devastator! I hope they don't give him testicles!
i am directly below the enemy....
Devastator literally gave me nightmares as a child. I was terrified of vacuum ability.
For the time period these were some insanely detailed and crispy CG animations and designs. These hold up very well today.
The Transforming Scene Is So ✨Satisfying✨
I need to see this movie again. Last I saw it I was a child. This was always wanna of the coolest designs to me, since he was just multiple depticons put together to create one massive robot.
1:21 KIRBYS DAD CONFORMED?!
That CGI is downright incredible.
Ah,good times when this came out
I always wondered if the constructions could still feel when they were combined. Like, could Hightower feel Skids & Mudflap when they were balanced on his wire?
Fact: Devastator is always in pain
The transformation looked sick
Haisenberg flashbacks...
Man I saw this movie and it was awesome especially seeing a character in a Transformers movie that we haven't seen in a said film in at the time this came out in 2009 23 years since the G1 Transformers movie that came out in 1986.
