I have a question when I’m not using my spinning wheel. Is it good to remove the poly drive band so it’s not at a stretch or is it fine to leave it on the wheel?

Can you show how to get the double drive band on the Ashford Elizabeth 2? I'm confused by the instructions and it slips off the wheel when I try.
