- Some cold starts for those of you enjoy such things and a bonus! For the first time in 30 years of living here, we had a pipe freeze. Fortunately, no damage was done and everything is fine now.
Fun fact: the hair dryer you see my father using in the video will randomly shoot fireballs. It's a great way to make mornings that much more exciting!
watching this while sitting in 30c temperature room
What in the world is that noise on the f150 omg!
Now I want to see what my featherlite thinks of these temperatures, especially due to it being a 2 stroke and DEAD simple.
So how many cars do you have in these days?
Dunno kno why, but I feel like I am watching a video from the 80s or 90s
You can always depend on your Chevrolet that's forsure!
Can always depend on a 3800 to start as long as it's getting fuel and a crank sensor signal.
Does the Caprice still have it's 2012 battery in it, how many miles, and any problems in the last few years???
Ah, I remember this winter. The temps were
We had a CFL in our old bathroom, lasted almost 10 years even when left on for ages.
-57 in wisconsin
has a sneaky day off work then does a video on youtube
I drive a truck for a living, so the weather didn't stop me. When I got to my second stop in Toledo, my phone said it was -18 air temp, and a beyond cold -47 windchill. So cold that just one hour later my beverages were frozen solid and the truck almost refused to start. I'm from Michigan and am used to winter weather, but never in my life has it been that cold!
i dident know you had a dog Bill i have never seen it
Google says minus 7 f is minus 21 c brrr cold. I can tell you our 07 Pontiac vibe has started no problem in minus 20 c (with wind chill ), so can depend on your naughtyac vibe lol. And it's a good thing too that the car started. It was in danger of disappearing into a forming snow drift, there was also a tree near the drive way we were worried about snapping. If it had fallen it would've landed on the car
Fix
When it got down to -21 where I live, I tried to start my '74 GMC C1500 with a 250 straight 6. It was so cold thst it would not ever turn over, so I pulled the plugs and sprayed WD-40 down the holes. It did turn over, and I did that for a while to warm up the oil and build pressure. With my frostbitten hands, I put all the plugs back in, and gave it another try. With some starting fluid, it finally fired up after hours of trying. I did not run it for too long since oil pressure did not really come up at all (I am running 10W40 with a quart of Lucus).
We had - 25 f and - 52 windchill during that time. Also had a hot water pipe freeze
My old 1999 Subaru made some noise when I tried to start it so I left it alone. It did start at 8 below(Fahrenheit-I live in Chicago 'burbs). The amazing thing is it has a check engine light and qwill not pass emissions this March.Goodbye to you my trusted friend.
I had a pipe freeze and burst and it was a record - 7.Celsius thats a 67 year old Australian house for you and of course the one in the ceiling and when you go out for a few hrs as well.
