Fun fact, this game is the very first in-game appearance of Impa in any Zelda game! Before this, she was only in the manuals, so this and Zelda being playable the first time is making this a real girlboss game!
And while everybody else feels like a caricature, Impa might actually be the most accurately portrayed (though I guess her being a side-character who's only mentioned in the manual makes that hard to mess up)
7:36 - Unless I'm mistaken the enemy there is a Vire. In the main series, they don't appear very often. To my knowledge, they only show up in the original game (including the Satellaview version), Link's Awakening, and the Oracle games. Outside of the main series, they appear in this game, Zelda's Adventure, and Cadence of Hyrule.
In most of their other appearances, Vires split into two Keese (bats) when slain, although very powerful weapons can prevent this splitting and destroy a Vire outright. Here in Wand of Gamelon, they apparently go down to one hit of Zelda's sword.
It could also be an Acheman.
Honestly, with how rushed so many aspects of this is, I think it's just a boss they failed to finish in time. There was probably supposed to be a little cutscene or something to introduce it, but then release-day came and they said "fuck it, it's a glorified lizalfos now!"

I always had a crush on CDI Zelda.
Impa using the Master Sword to spread butter reminds me of the part in Pokémon Legends Arceus where Cogita (who's also an old sage) has been using a sacred artifact as a cutting board.

I love that this is Zelda having to go save not only the kingdom, but her father and dipshit boyfriend. It's neat for 1993, and Zelda IS adorable. "Eh fuck it, gotta go fix it myself."

I just realized I don't think I've ever seen the cutscene of Impa talking to Zelda about what happened to the King and Link.
11:40 Given I think that's meant to be an Inn and the clothes on the ground look like links (Green tunic, white shirt, brown pants) I think it might be he was staying there, got jumped and was carted away. As for HOW that knocked out a magical ability to shoot light from his sword IDK, but at least there might be a reason it's there?

The swamp is INFINITELY nicer in the remake, my god! You can hit the short things, you auto-pickup rubies, the top of the screen isn't a concrete wall blocking all jumps...

Yeah, those actually look more like the Moblins in the original Zelda game than anything made since Wind Waker made them more pig-like. No surprise, since FoE and this game were released the same year as Link's Awakening. Like, the original, not the GBC rerelease.
I mean a case could be made on Links behalf about trading away stuff for a kiss considering he did get healed from "visiting" women in Zelda 2, not a very good one but a case nontheless.
