  • Amazing craft wood turning projects for gifts or to sell. This is one of many easy woodworking projects that sell. I think this is a creative idea. This project was made from a cherry tree branch. The figure in the wood is amazing. I made two projects from one branch. A vase and a tealight holder that become a set. They are sanded from 80 to 400 grit and finished with friction polish made of shellac, denatured alcohol, and boiled linseed oil.
I hope you enjoy the video and it sparks your creativity. Thank you for watching!

Beautiful items. Love seeing the things you make. I miss having my lathe. I was just learning to use it then moved into a flat no room for it now.

Very nice. Great use of a colorful piece of wood. (And thank you for not contaminating your video with a music bed!)

Two beautiful works of art. I’m still fascinated watching you work left handed and parting off with a skew chisel. But I’ve mentioned that before 🌞

These are perfect projects to teach my grandsons thereby getting them ‘hooked’ on turning. By the way, it looks like it’s time to clean your lathe motor before it burns up like mine did.

Great looking pair Rus. You have great ideas, enjoyed your videos since finding your channel. I'm laid up from shoulder replacement, seeing these videos helps pass the time. Although I'm reall anxious to turn again. Thank you Rus, ....Dan.

This is a situation where left handed is better. I like that I get a good view of what the chisel is doing.

@@RcWoodturning I guess I can’t say much either. When I started turning, I started totally green. I didn’t know which tools to buy, that you were supposed to use a face shield and respirator, let alone dust collection. I didn’t even know if I would stick with turning or not. All of that stuff comes in time in my opinion. But you’re right, it’s a good idea.
