Matt, you inspired me. I purchased a Chorum 60 and I am looking forward to voicing and mastering organ sensitivity and playing at last. I will be referring to your demo a lot. Thank you much.
Curtis Fox - the Chorum range is not Physis, it is sampled sound so will be different voicing. It only allows changes in stop volume I believe rather than the library of alternatives. Still a superb organ!
@@organ1st2002 Matt, I took a lightning strike and changed organ. I now have a Sonus 359 that is awesome. I have it voiced, but I am still working it and understanding all its features. I am still getting inspiration from your video. Hope to connect in the future.
@@curtisfox5028 You will enjoy the step up I am sure, good luck as you get to know the instrument. Thank you for updating me - feel free to email in the future with your progress!
3:56-5:10. That was absolutely gorgeous Matt! I really want to play your particular instrument, just because of the way you've had it voiced. Great demo, and great improvising.
Thanks for the stop by stop demonstration. The sound is very similar to a Wyvern I owned some years ago, and I think the sound reproduction system is basically the same with a different name.
I believe the system is unique, but of course there may be similar systems around. It's worth saying that these sound better in person than on recordings.
Perhaps it's me but it all just sounds rather synthesized to me especially when played fairly loud. I have heard similar organs sound much better elsewhere. I appreciated the UA-cam audio may not help and your room will also have an effect. I hope you enjoy the instrument though.
I got to 2:00 mins and I'd heard enough. That is no way a Diapason Chorus, sound like some odd reed stop. Terrible sounding thing, hope it's just the video. If it's not, at least it's in his house so no-one else has to hear it.
Well done! On my YT channel I published several videos from the Gloria Concerto 350, which is the German version of your organ :-) In Germany, this type of organ is exclusively distributed by one dealer ...
I cannot name the price, however if you do a web search there is viscout organs or instruments america, they will be delighted to help. Best wishes, Matt
Hi, many thanks. The touch is nice and firm. I tried a wood keyboard in the showroom and it was too light for me personally. Yes, the Sonus range are the surround consoles, am considering adding a sub woofer at present although the internal is excellent. Hope this helps!
I am interested to know the number of audio channels and number of speakers on this organ, when you might get an opportunity to reply. Thanks for posting this demonstration.

Bloody awful. I hope it's just the recording? But even if that's the case, it's a frightful demonstration. The thing is making these sounds up, most of which are exactly the same and nowhere near the stop they're meant to sound like. Yeah, this was 2016 tech but still. It just sounds like an expensive box of buzzers.
Enjoyed the demo, Matt...I know that you'll greatly enjoy playing this fine instrument....be blessed!!

Wywern is another brand ...
A Very Nice Organ Matt hope it gives you hours of enjoyment and hope you don't annoy your neighbours! - Hope to hear more you playing this soon! :-)
Almost as electronic sounding as one could imagine.

@@rowanlidbury sounds harsh and digital the old organs were far better !!!!!!
@@musicisitall The mono recording does not reflect the sound of these organs well. On my channel I also present Viscount Sonus 60.
I love it!!!

Electronic instruments have come on in bounds. They're particularly good for churches with a limited budget.
Matt Edwards, How much did Viscount sell this organ to you for? Is there an American distributor?

Great demo! Are you happy with the tracker touch or would you have opted for the upgrade to Advanced? Is your model the Surround console? Thanks.

Gary Huisman - 9 audio channels, 13 internal speakers, 1x100w and 8x60w amplifiers. Full details at www.viscountorgans.net
Thank you very much. That is impressive. Your organ has a wonderful sound.
I hope it's the recording... The stops are junky believe me...
Sounds a bit synthetic to me in comparison to Hauptwerk-type pipe-by-pipe sampling. The Johannus "Live" has more edge of reality.
However, as you mention, some stops like the tuba are well implemented.
It's a matter of recording the sound itself. Please visit my channel, where Sonus sounds much better.
Yes but Johannus lock you in to their sample sets which cost £1,100 each. You wouldn’t be able to take advantage of free samples.
