I drove an old Chevy c10 like Vickie truck. We pulled race car with it and raced the truck as well in lower class. I’m telling you this to tell you one little things we did to that truck that made it worlds better towing and cutting light on track. We dropped the rear axle down took out the stock half ton coil springs and put 3/4 ton coil springs in it. No other mods and did not change front springs. Towed way better and was great off the line on track. Very cheap upgrade but very well worth it if your going to tow with the truck.

Is the 421 built from a stock casted block or is it an aftermarket block. Asking cause I recently acquired a good stock 400 sbc (511 casting) that’s never been bored & wasn’t sure if it was worth building a 406 or some other small block stroker combo with it. Looking to get in the 420 hp range.
You should bring the car down to Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. It has all new concrete and lots of grip. It would be a great place to set personal best times in the Malibu.

79 is the perfect year that’s what I have. 78-79 grill and 79 only tail lights. Best year all around for g bodies!
